Dan's selling his yellow plastics from an XB if anyone is interested. It includes the airbox, flyscreen, front fender and chin spoiler. He's asking $200. I'm putting this in the badweb for sale stuff too.

It's almost spring, ground hog day next Tuesday.

Sold the plastics. Hope everyone's having a great weekend. We're getting ready to go out for a short ride.

Dan's putting new brake pads on the rear of the XB. I guess the old ones were down to almost nothing. : ) Are they suppose to work anyway???

Hi John, he said it was almost too yellow and he does like the TT in white. We did get out for a short ride today. Even with the heated gear it was cold out there today.

He also took his mirrors off and put one bar end on the left side. He really likes it. He can't believe how well it works and doesn't vibrate.

Man, the warm weather can't get here soon enough. I'm tired of being cold.

Julie,
I like the white too. did a short ride yesterday also. did not get out until 3pm when it was the warmest. You CAN teach a old dog new tricks - he finally found out what you and I have known for a long time about the bar end mirror. Clear as a bell view. Those stock mirrors were terrible.

I'm trying to talk him into taking off the stock mirrors on the CR now. I like the way that bike looks without the mirrors, MEAN bikey.

He just got finished making a luggage rack for the CR's. Really nice job. When he lets me (LOL) I'll post some pic's of it. It helps keep the saddle bags out away from the tire. I wish I had 1/2 of his talent in making things.

Not sure if we'll try to get out today. My body can't handle being cold again.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I like the stock mirrors on the 1125R with the built in turn signals. Now, for my XB9SX I swapped the stock mirrors for the ones from American Sport Bike made for the Aprilia (I think that's what they're for). Vibration was reduced a lot and I like how they look. Never was a fan of bar ends. Always felt I couldn't see crap with them being how small they are. Course, that might just be because I'm a big guy.

I understand your thoughts, Ryan. But with those bar ends you really can see a lot behind you without having to move your head too much. I'm so used to the bar ends that I felt incredibly uncomfortable with the stock mirrors. Plus it takes away a lot of clutter in front of you. Now I'm not sure how they'd look on the R but on the CR, I LOVE IT. And there's absolutely no vibration.

I have the bar ends on both sides now but I think I'll be taking the right one off as I don't think I'll need it. (then I can get Dan to put this on his CR)

Hey Frank, are you out there? How's the lack of smoking doing. We've been thinking about you.

Still smoke free and I am not liking it...

I have not had a lot of time for the BadWeb lately and there has not been a lot worth commenting on anyway.

I am ready for warmer weather like we all are but I got out a bit on the Uly, it is the only one with the heated gear hookup. No more snow but a lot of sand and the rear end got loose a couple of times.

Ride safe everyone and thanks for the concern Julie... I am looking forward to seeing Dan's handy work.

Ug, well, got the frame off of my XB so now the engine is out in the open. Time to tear that down to do the work to it I am doing.

If all goes well, that is our intention. If not street biking we'll be dirt biking. I told Dan if he wants to get anything done around the house this spring/summer, he needs to do it during the week. : )

Was at Rocky mt. HD today on my buell. Chad told me that they had 7 CR's not too long ago and that one guy bought 5 of them for a race team up near Longmont. They also sold their last buell (firebolt) last week. I then met the new owner down the street at the Yamaha shop. He wants to ride with us all.
Good day for a ride! (rubbing it in, Julie)

Does the new owner have a Buell?

Julie,
yes, he is the guy that bought the last firebolt at rocky mt.
I know, you will get even with me - I am sure. I just know you are having a hard time with a new bike and not being able to ride. Thats how I have been feeling with the yamaha I bought in Sept. and was only able to ride it 5 times in the dirt until the snows came in the mountains. Spring is right around the corner.

Have any of you with the 1125's been watching this thread about the Eric Buell racing ECM for your bikes?
You can get them for pump gas and muffler calibrations. Sounds like a must have.

I tried talking Dan in buying this for me....but, not in the budget right now : )

John, dirt, more dirt. Can't wait to get the toy hauler with the dirt bikes and get out there camping and playing. Hopefully we'll get out every other weekend to play in the dirt. I wan't to go to lots of different areas this year. Need to get out of the green zone and try the yellow zone (not ready for the red zone yet). Can't learn if I don't get out of the comfort zone. :/

I'm hoping we can get out for a ride too. I think we have to go down to the Springs on Sat morning to pick up the toy hauler. Had to get a new shower surround put in. So if we get back soon enough, we'll head out for a short ride, probably down to Palmer Lake (maybe).

Like the bike in the snow Zack. Hope you can stay warm in the 4df temps. You're a brave soul.

I hope you can get out for a ride Julie. I am taking tomorrow off and Monday is a holiday. Lynn has an interview in the morning and I plan on relaxing after a very stressful week at work. (I only wanted to quit twice this week)

It is time to get on my favorite bike, work on the project, clean out the garage and hang out with my girl. Watch out for the sand......
