Tested some new gloves the wife bought, not to bad, but fingers did get a little cold. I will try my sock mittens with them tomorrow and see how they work. Other than that, today was good. But the condensation in my helmet froze when I lifted up my visor to get some cool air.

Hey guys for gloves, i have a pair of alphinestar's winter gloves, they work great. but on a longer ride my finger tips will still get cold. they cost like $50 - 60 bucks, i think..

Mel, hold off on the under armor (just the tops) for just a little bit...I'm looking at another option here on base that may be just as good and a fraction the price...

Ok, now that I'm wearing some, I would say definitely hold off on the underarmour...these tops and bottoms on base (Duke is the brand) are $21.95 each (so a full set for less than 1 UA piece) and they are warm! As long as you're not picky about color (desert tan is the only option) I can pick you up some anytime you want. I'll be wearing the top tomorrow night at Hoss's if you want to check it out.

Second skin...I'd say the top is almost identical to the cold gear UA I used to have. I've never owned UA bottoms but the ones here on base look like they are about the same.

I also ordered some from the online military clothing store, not sure if they are the same as what I just got on base, but they were only $15 for the tan and they had black for $4.77. I only got a couple of each, but if it turns out they are the same then I can order a bunch more.

wow.... i guess that's a military discount. At that rate, everyone should have a set!

I was about to drop $79 for the top and $59 for the bottoms on a set of Cold Gear Metal from UA. (I didn't want to, but frostbite is wack!) lol.

I'll check it out tonight and see what I can do to get some from you instead.

Jason, Mike: can one of you verify this is the correct method of administration?

-wikipedia

Play treatment
The cooties shot

Children sometimes "immunize" each other from cooties by administering a "cootie shot". One child typically administers the "shot" by reciting the rhyme "circle, circle / dot, dot / now you've got the cootie shot" while using an index finger to trace the circles and dots on another child's forearm. Continuing, a child may then say "circle, circle / square, square / now you have it everywhere", in which case the child receives an immunization throughout his or her body. A final shot is said "circle, circle / knife, knife / now you've got it all your life" or "circle, circle / fire, fire / now your shot will never expire", or "nickel, nickel / dime, dime / now you've got it all the time" while using their index finger to draw vertical lines on the other child's forearm. Sometimes a "cooties shot" is actually just a punch to the upper arm which simply "cures" the punched one from the "disease".

Alternatively, cooties can be immunized through one child creating a square using his or her index and middle fingers (making a peace sign in each hand and laying one on top of the other). The other child then pokes his index finger through the square, at which point he becomes immunized from cooties infection.

Although it is often referred to as an immunization, the cooties shot actually cures the disease more like an antidote rather than a preventive measure such as a vaccine.

Made it to Vegas. Rental is a new Challenger (V-6, tho)...but not a bad ride to have for two weeks. Staying on base isn't all that great, but it's a 5 minute commute to work in the morning...oh, and it's 60 degrees here...wish I had my bike!
