Don Leo (snakedriver) has your shades, saw it on the picnic table as we were packing up. We all tried it on but it didn't fit no one so I guess you're set... Ken |

That was one of the coolest Buell gatherings I've been to in a LONG time . . . . Mega thanks for all the hospitality. I see all my photos got wiped out last night in the "Badweb Unintended Purge". Thanks to all! Court |

I see all my photos got wiped out last night in the "Badweb Unintended Purge". Thats a BUMMER... Thanks for coming out! Wait til next year!... its gonna be bigger and better. I just got off the phone with the folks and they, along with my sister and the Booster club... are going to put the spread out for us at the 4-H campground. We had over 40 people this year and raised over 1000 bucks for the football team. As soon as the get a team pic I will post it up.... Hey Court, if you get a chance please repost your pics. |

I got home safe 'bout an hour ago. Long ride! Fun meter registered 1,888 miles this weekend. What a great b-day ride!! Many thanks to all who made this very special for me. The Buell bikes are great but the people who ride them are tremendous. A special shout out to Mark, Jack, & Judy - you folks are awesome!! BTW - I saw half dozen deer on on the way up to 50 early this morning while the fog was burning off. Pretty spooky but my new lucky key chain worked well - thanks again Todd & Angie. On my very first leg of the journey home, I suffered a severe brain fart and ran out of gas 1/2 mile from the exit. Luckily, the road it was level or downhill so I only had to push 1/4 mile. When I coasted into the gas station, a fellow rider rode up. He was traveling the opposite direction on hwy 77 and saw me pushing. He turned around and traced my path to offer assistance. A short while later, a fellow BadWeb'r named Rubberdown pulled up towing a beautiful Buell race bike. He also had seen my folly and circled back to help. Man ... this weekend was just full of good. |

Just got home! I did the solo rt 16 speed tour all the way down to rt 19. Started slabbing it Southward and a certain uneasiness set in the Uly's programming, turning what had been a flawless run into a nervous nightmare. The wife was on her way back home from Pa at the same time, so we ended up loading the Uly for the last hundred eighty miles home. I have some work to do. That was an awesome event for sure. Mark, your efforts certainly are appreciated. I will be down loading those pictures tomorrow, hopefully my eyes will be able to focus by then(they seem awful tired right now). I don't know where you hatched, but your parents are top notch. Don, thanks for the escort, cool tour for sure. Nice to meet up and hang with good people like you. Gary, sorry about your friend. I wish him well and I truly enjoyed seeing my favorite Douche Canoe.....again! Janette, Leo, Support vehicle.....who else could have been so generous with a fine idea.....thanks. Good to see you again Court, glad to see you got to share in this gem of an event. Ken, somehow, you just make my day! Hope your Uly has it's front legs back soon! Gene, good to see you again too, and to have you reiterate your 'somethin', somethin' cherry tree, rooster, bucket story! The rest of you bums.....I have never been on a mass ride with all thirty plus riders being of such a high skill level. To sustain that level of ability and focus for a nearly two hundred mile loop, without a single misshap, incident, or public embarrassment to the group and the brand, is astonishing in my book. The lady riders, the two up folks, and those "newer riders", my hat is off, not a squid, or lagger in the bunch. Makes being a Buell owner and rider go to an even more proud level, if that is possible. Back tomorrow with some pictures.....I think one of my eyes stuck.....or fell out. |

Hi everyone. We made it home around 4, hot, exhausted and happy. We stayed on back roads the whole way but we should have slabed it once we hit the Pgh. sprawl, too much traffic. Post more in a bit. Tim |

Damn it! I perfect event sponsored by Mark and the Gainer's, and I have to have an "incident" on the way home. A Pontiac and my Buell decided to occupy the same space at a (very poorly marked) intersection of 16 and 39 in WVa, just before 11am yesterday. My right Uly sidecase hit the left rear corner of the Sunfire, after she saw the Yield sign at the last second and mis-read it as "Stop", though there was not another vehicle in sight. I'm kickin' myself REPEATEDLY for not expecting her to do the unexpected. DAMN IT! the result: Buell 1, Pontiac 0. the car has a softball sized dent and a broken left taillight. A quick wipe with a rag and there is not a single mark on the Buell sidecase, nor any damage to the bike whatsoever. I am pretty disappointing in the whole thing, but decided to post it as a reminder to myself (and others?) that you gotta be prepared for anything. If only those sidecases were 1" narrower... And here I was riding with confidence because earlier in the morning I had done a textbook stop from speed to avoid one of the many suicidal deer in W Va. Anyway, thanks 1000 times to Mark and his family for making this a fantastic, friendly event (again). It took me 11 hours to get home (with the incident and too many stops), including a "shortcut" that ended up being a rough 4x4 trail over a mountain, but I made it. My pics aren't as good as last years, but I will see if some are worth posting. Glad to see you all there, since it seems to be the only Badweb event I am able to make. Maybe we need an event in the mountains of W NC? I couldn't do anything to the level of what Mark does, but I am always here to meet up or show around any Buellers that make it to our part of the world. I can't give you the sparse traffic of W Va, (and I sure can't give you food like the Gainer's do) but I can give you roads that make our Saturday ride look like sweepers. |

Jim, Wow! That had to seem up close and personal. Glad you and the bike are well! Hope the little mistake maker didn't get you a ticket. I couldn't agree more with the ride weekend program, I have been thinking the same thing for a few years now, how great would it be to set one up in our neighborhood. At this time I have techno-problems that may cause a potential move before years end. So I can't even plan next months work let alone a project I would love to do. |

Sorry, had to do some work! Anyway....we had a fantastic time with a bunch of great people. Thanks for everything. This will be a priority of ours for years to come! If any of you guys are ever in the Pgh. area give us a ring. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. Hopefully we'll see you sooner but if not, next year. |

Don, I have your shades. Do you want me to ship them to you or do you want an excuse to come ride the twisties in WV again? You're always welcome at my house. If you'd rather have them shipped, just PM me your addy. I have tons of pics from both Ken's and my camera. Will post at some point. I had a GREAT time. I hated coming back to the office yesterday. Ken, Leo and I went out for a ride last night. Probably one of the last Morgantown rides due to impending student influx. I told Ken he'd have to come up and ride around Leo's or my neck of the woods to avoid being mowed down by an 18 year old in daddy's lexus. Great to see everyone, put faces to names, etc. Remember, everyone of you are welcome to stay at my place if you're riding in the greater Canaan Valley area and need a place to crash. (no pun intended) |

Thanks to Mark, his parents and anyone else who made the WV Buell Rally III such a great event! What a friendly group of people that made you feel right at home. The setting was picture perfect, the food was outstanding and the roads were probably the best I've ridden. Roughly 500 miles in 2 days and we trailered the bikes out there! You bet I'll be back next year. I posted a bunch of my photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/planethiker/sets/7215 7621946331721/ Be sure to check out the full size images of these panoramics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/planethiker/383211835 5/sizes/l/in/set-72157621946331721/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/planethiker/383285098 6/sizes/l/in/set-72157621946331721/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/planethiker/383186138 3/sizes/l/in/set-72157621946331721/ PS: I found myself snickering last night at Gary busting ass in front of everyone in the driveway. Thanks for the laugh! Tony |

Yeah.....sticking to it.....huh.....more like stuck to you!.....in this scenario, look at me as being the one on your right, turning green. As forensic evidence will clearly point out, people over fifty, like myself, would indeed have to run off to the restroom for an immediate clean up caused by such a power blast. A relative youngster with good valves, one I might add never moved from that spot, could blast and retain physical control. As for Gary looking and pointing at me so immediately after gooning such a gob of foul stench, could only further prove premeditation of said case. It wasn't me.....I didn't do it.....couldn't if I had tried, at least without the afore mentioned immediate clean up on aisle one. Back to Gary did it! |
