Went up jolly pond road today, coming from centerville, and it was barracaided just before the little single lane bridge, didn't try going at it from the other direction - anyone know where they closed it on the other side?

At the little single lane bridge.(Mel's bridge)

It washed out during the last hurricane and VDOT refused to do anything about it. So, the residents got together and fixed it themselves. The state was pissed, but allowed the road to re-open. The "fix" wasn't the best, and went downhill fast. VDOT closed it again a couple months ago.

Tank, ahhhh that explains a lot. I thought that was a lot of bike traffic for just a Saturday. The cars/truck and trucks towing boats made for some anal clenching on a few turns. However it was an incredible ride. I had a great time.

We did it backwards a while back.
Wasn't as much fun. Much more bumpy, and the road conditions were 3x worse.
