Thanks Bill, appreciate the call to arms! As it stands I will be pulling in with a UHaul and will need help. We may have a firm contract in place Monday which would accelerate the family move, and if so I will hire the pros to move everything at once. Then we can sit around and watch them suffer! I'll advise lateer.

Tripper...

Since my postings are now scrutinized by the self appointed BadWeb Sheriff... I will keep this short!

Welcome back... I look forward to meeting you... Kcbill has my number... call me if you want my help!

Just a side note!!!

After being chastised... I am really looking at how I have wasted my life... and wasted the time of important people! ...or is that singular.

Shame on me! I just realized that I have this natural ability to irritate, agitate, and piss-off people... making myself so that people don't want me to be around them!

I just realized that I must be jealous of someone and their natural charisma.

OH MY GOD... I HAVE BEEN BAD AGAIN!!!

DENNIS DENNIS DENNIS!!!!

So that was you shooting of a gun over in Independence on Christmas Eve...and hey from a couple 100 yards away that boom boom really lit up the sky and the gal I was visiting has one of those little bark alot type dogs well it scared the piss and shit out of him literally I might add...That is NOT good on white shag carpet let me tell you that didn't think the little barker could possibly shit that much at one time , but maybe it was because he was running and howling at the same time that the shit was so scattered all over the house...
Well you know this being the good ole' USofA everyone is entitled to their own opinions on everything and if they don't want to read what you write then that's OK they don't gotta' read it some people do get a laugh out of your creativeness I for one know it just the Fed thing ,I mean like you don't get to write many reports any more , with all the young go-getter up-shoots, so you need to channel your creative imagination somewhere sometimes, so don't sweat it just write what you want as long as it's not to vulgar or obscene ,if it is let me proof it for you first...I wonder if the guys would think I flipped if I started telling about MY spaceflight and visits to other worlds in Galaxies far far away aboard my spaceship that not only has warp drive ,jump capacity, and inter demensional shift capacity so I can visit all those neat places..
I would say keep the fairing side up and the rubber side down but the way it's raining outside right now that would be almost impossible if you or anyone would be foolish or crazy enough too be out on any type of two wheel vehicle right now...

I must ask for forgiveness.

PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR I HAVE SINNED!!!

Let me tell you about some of the people I have irritated, agitated, and pissed-off . After spending some time reflecting on my wasted and meaningless life. I have not realized this until just now... reflecting on my life. I have finally realized why I have spend an empty bitter life... blaming others for the bad things in my life. I just realized I have spent my entire life being self centered and totally only thinking about myself. Putting all others after ME! In total disregard of the feelings of other... blurting out hatefulness... berating others... demeaning people who have stupidly looked up to me (fu*king morons)... and just telling everyone what I think... how it is... and how it should be!

I look back at the number of times I have left a room after voicing my opinion about something... to hear when it is thought I am out of ear shot "What a fu*king dick! Is he always like this? "

It all started in the early hours of a hot July day in the 1950s. I was born. Even then... I irrated people around me. Not only did the doctor slap me when I was born... but he passed me around and all the nurses slapped me... this continued to include the janitorial staff. Then they slapped my birth mother... for not aborting! I was tossed in with the afterbirth... and my mother was thrown out of the hospital! They told her..."Cruella DeVil... you are never to return to this hospital again... and don't have any more children!"

The odds were against me... but I was found in the dumpster by this beatnik... who eventually started a commune... and later was seen as a hippie. I was never allowed to call him dad... he insisted I call him Charlie. We were never accepted or understood... but while I was still young...I again found myself abandon. I don't care what anyone says... Charlie Manson had nothing to do with those murders!

After being expelled from a series of schools... I got in trouble... and the judge said... "Young man... go to jail... or join the Army!" With a full and proper military salute... I did an about face... and joined the Army. That was a troubled time... fragging officers... that little incident in the village of Mi Lai... me and the boys didn't do anything wrong there!

Then my career in law enforcement. I kept saying... (Rodney... just stay down!) If they did not want me to use that stick and all that pepperspray... why did they give it to me???

Anyway... I am rambling...

I once met Will Rogers... who was quoted to say "I never met a man I didn't like." Well he said that long before he met me.

I was bit by Bengi, and Lassie.

I got beat up in the movie theater when I was laughing when Ole Yeller died.

A similar incident happened when Bambi's mom was shot by that hunter.

Barney the Dinosaur beat the crap out of me once.

As did Captain Kangaroo, Mister Rogers and Ronald McDonald!

Upon meeting Mother Theresa... the b*tch slapped the sh*t out of me.

Pat Boone ran over my foot after I made some suggestions about his singing!

The same thing happened again after pointing our some things to Donnie & Marie Osmond!

I would venture to guess that even Saddam Hussein would have been embarrassed to have me as a son!

Shame on me... shame on me... shame on me!!!

PLEASE EVERYONE FORGIVE ME! I HAVE BEEN SO VERY BAD!!!

gee... do ya think that was subtle enough???

Keef...

Related to your posting which said:

I would say keep the fairing side up and the rubber side down but the way it's raining outside right now that would be almost impossible if you or anyone would be foolish or crazy enough too be out on any type of two wheel vehicle right now...

well...
Our Hero Sam was out in this rain today. He came by to see the Casa de Bankrupt... and got trapped here with a low battery. While I was boring him to death with my shop... and having him meet the people who are stupid enough to live with me... AND while his battery was on the charger... it started raining.

When he was finally able to escape this miserable visit... and this is the first time I have seen Sam turn down a cold beer... he high tailed it out in such a hurry he was sideways all the way up the gravel driveway... and spinning the rear tire for over a block upon hitting the street... He waved good-bye... but with his gloves on I could not tell if he used all of his fingers!

Sam...

Was it something I said!!???

So i've got the XB running moderately well at the moment....it only left me stranded twice today. Of course both times were something I had done or undone as the case may be.

I spent all of last night going back through the XB top end, making sure everything was still torqued to spec since my last few firings/heat cycles, and with fresh plugs all the wiring connections verified(so I thought) it seemed to be running well enough for more of a test than a trip around the block. I left the house headed for the Auto parts store (wife's trooper needed a fan clutch) amazingly, exactly what I needed(so I thought) right there on the shelf. Threw the goods in the backpack and left the store to find a drained battery. Unable to get it push started I start walking. An hour later around 11:30 I had returned with my other battery. ten minutes for the swap and I'm gone! The bike feels REAL good, it's been a long time since I've really gotten to throw this thing around so I give my good buddy Dennis a call to see if he'll be in. A visit to Casa De bankrupt has been long over due,as is the fifty miles of blacktop blistering. So with weather closing in I say to myself: "self, screw the raingear, screw the heavy gloves, don't even bother hiding the Cell phone and wallet, get on, hold on, and don't forget to show the kiddies how cool off-idle wheelies are when you leave"....

15 miles out the check engine light fires and a few minutes later the guages die. at this point standing on my pegs at 75mph I lean way over the fairing and put my right hand in front of the headlight. It is still working but doesn't seem to have it's lumensity. No noticeable power loss or sputtering(at this point it occurs to me that if the battery goes south the Powercommander is going right behind it. It'll be dead for sure. Dennis' house coming up!

I've been hearing about Dennis' new pad for some time however this is the first I've had the pleasure of seeing his vision of home. This guy's got it right! Buell stuff all over the place and a HUGE assortment of the newest lookinfg tools I've ever seen.....(Dennis don't be afraid to use those buddy!) I promptly went to work on the beast....the charging system was down so my first stop was the harness in front of the drive sprocket, sure enough there it is. one of the connectors is not fully seated. put it back together and charge it for an hour. For a man with so many bullet holes in him he sure is getting around pretty well! that whole food through a straw thing is gonna suck for a while but I will let him tell that story. Back to the bike, It still won't start. so we jump start it. It's now raining! Dennis is warning me that the gravel in the drive gives people fits, so be careful leaving(ironic for a man who was on his way to the beer store for me when I showed up! what do you call that, "hospitable endangerment"?) Dennis has made one serious mistake, as two impressionable young men are standing next to him when I make my dramatic exit.....Dennis still hasn't made any effort to shield these boys from the shear skill and stupidity that is about to be demonstrated (appropriate that the word begins with demon isn't it?) So I proceed to sidetrack the drive leaving enough room for an abbreviated stop attempt and a hard right into traffic. Quick shift to second for a signature "wheelie in the rain" and I'm out. only it didn't hook up and again I found myself sideways most of the way up the street, grinning ear to ear. I am absolutely sure Dennis can hear me laughing at this point. So much for setting a good example. (if you think about it real hard, realise these kids are probably scared shitless of this Federal Marshall always stomping around the house barking out orders, I have a profound respect for Authority, that being the case I will not comment on how many fingers I was holding up!

Dennis It was good hanging out and chatting with you. and thanks for the beer offer, the use of some mint condition tools, and being so cool! Hope to see you again soon.

As for the rest of the trip home: I was seriously dissapointed with my wheelie attempt leaving Dennis' so I spent the next few miles re-learning the bike. No idiot light, full electrification bike is running good, I turn onto Shawnee Parkway and It's been raining steady all the way back. I 'm getting close to the house so figure a few more maneuvers and I'm done......She threw the belt! 22,000 miles the bitch gave up the ghost. I bought a spare waaaay back at about 8000miles when I learned that this could be a problem and for spare parts at track days.....well, now I needed it! I push the bike into the Perkins lot and start walking, no big deal right....IT"S ONLY THE SECOND TIME TODAY!

I round up the tools I need at the house and go to grab my rear stand and can't find the little "L" bracket for the XB......you guys see where this is going? Yeah it's still raining! but I've got everything to fix it, and a truck or trailer is to far away for convenience. There's one sure way to lift the back of the bike....so I grab the 6ft ladder.....and some tie-downs....put on the rainsuit and drive back to the choke and puke. It was raining too hard to screw with the camera but.....let me say this....it probably rivaled the truck-stop yard sale in Texas....so two hours latetr I rode the beast back into the garage and wiped off my freshly powder coated wheels (god I love these, cleaned with one wipe).

So all in all, a great day! temps in the mid forties? raining like hell, sand all over the roads, and I got to ride! we should al be so lucky.....................it would definitely make me feel alot better if some of you went through this stuff every now and then.

Hey, watch those small penis jokes. Some of us are sensitive about that subject.
Bob and I made it as far north and west as Columbia today via back roads ofcourse. Cant say much for Frankenstein MO. but the roads were nice thru that part of the state.
Sam, keep after that thing. Mine has been bullet proof for some time now, but just after the transplant, I thought about burning it once in a while because of all the downtime. It did catch on fire twice but I didnt have the heart to let it go.
Had to change that Avon 46 yesterday. Only 4000 miles and it was toast. Just goes to show what 109 ft/lbs of torque will do.
Before you know it, spring will be here and all will be right with the world.
Richie, Dr. Sue Johansen says they have penis extenders that work well. Think I'll get one. Wonder if they make a big bore kit?.................

Sam again,
Be careful of this Dennis guy. Anyone who works for the Feds can't be all good. Garage full of tools or not. Just remember. Your known by the company you keep. Maybe you Mobbers can bring him along this upcoming year on one of our rides. Just what we need. Another freakin lunitic.

John,
You and Dennis would probably get along quite well! Both have a scewed sense of humor and both are old as dirt! :) Dennis should be ready for that knee replacement soon too!! LOL :)

Keith

p.s. John, some of us are headed your direction on March 28th. I for one, will be leaving the bike at home for the occasion though. Little birdie tells me that I will be in no condition to ride a motorcycle that day.

Well...

It takes a lot to get me pissed... but it finally happened!!!

I didn't get pissed when Jeff's (Thunder) voice came out of Bill (Kcbill) at the brag meeting, when Jeff could not make the meeting without being channeled by John Edwards. It was kinda cool... when I squinted my eyes I could almost see Jeff!

I didn't get pissed when the "visitor" did the midnight run through and around my back yard... and I spent half the night stalking him to help him realize it was the WRONG YARD TO F*CK AROUND IN. I believe in catch and release!

I didn't get pissed when there was that little misunderstanding at The Other Place, when Bill was comparing engine vibration, and I thought it was some pseudo-religious ceremony. So, I "helped" Bill exorcize the demons from his bike... by laying hands on his machine and yelling "Out you demons!". AND... suddenly no one wanted to be seen leaving with me.

I didn't get pissed when I thought Frank (Cyclone1) had been kidnaped due to his continued absence from our weekly Mob event. AND all we could raise was $1.47 to ransom his freedom... then the group changed our minds... and insisted the kidnapper give all Mob members $50.00 each to take Frank back! Then the bastard stiffed us!!!

I didn't get pissed when I had that minor problem installing the motion light behind the garage... when I set the ladder on fire from the electrical arc when I slipped and put the drill through that hot wire. Then after the power was off in the neighborhood for some unexplained reason... I had to try and cook Thanksgiving dinner in the fire pit... and the fire department said I used too much gasoline... and THEY ruined MY Thanksgiving!

I did n't get pissed when I fell off the roof after lubing my wind turbines... and was hanging up-side-down by the air hose. Or when I landed on my knife after cutting myself free!. Then discovered my favorite Buell hat was hooked onto one of the wind turbines and was spinning around... taunting me to climb back onto the roof!!

I didn't get pissed about the rabid mouse incident. Hey... even with my loved ones laughing uncontrollably at me... as soon as they disarmed me and made me harmless TO THEM. Besides... I bagged the savage beast with my pellet pistol... AND according to the hospital set a record for the number if times I knocked myself out in one incident!

I didn't get pissed about failing to get a Christmas tree for my family. Or at the trio of attack squirrels that made a hobby out of me Christmas Eve. Or about the hypothermia... electrical burns... second degree burns from the explosion... both neighbors suing me over damaged chain saws... the destruction of property charges filed by the guy with the broken window and the Park Department over the streetlights... or the death threats from Green Peace... for in their words "murdering a sacred tree".

BUT I WILL TELL YOU WHAT FINALLY PISSED ME OFF!!!

Sam did...

I TOLD YOU if you had any problems on the way home... call me and I would come out with the trailer. I could have even brought the beer... stands... tools... and two strong young men to help.

First of all... If I came to help... the bike trailer would not be an issue... since Adam and Alex have to use it for my wheel chair if I want to go anyplace... and with all the bandages... they have to lift me and move me onto the trailer... so they would be with me anyway.

Second... I could use the experience of seeing how to do this stuff on Xbs... someday I might actually need to use the $180,000.00 worth of tools I bought. HEY... they are all Snap-On... and worth every penny. AND... if that little piece of duct tape with Snap-On written on it falls off any of the wrenches, sockets or tools... they gave ma a big roll of duct tape and a black sharpy... the tool maintenance kit... for free!

Third... You are making me have an inferiority complex... like anyone would not want me to help them work on stuff... just because I have had a few freak accidents and minor set backs on projects. Hey... no one died... hey I have always been the only one hurt. Trust me bud... I could have helped you fix your ride.

BTW... my 140 year old neighbor was in the front yard when you made your "exit". About a hundred years ago he used to ride or maybe raced bikes... at that age it is kinda hard to hear and understand the guy. I had "warned" him about Mob buddies rattling windows when they came by... he has no problem with the noise, he likes bikes.

ANYWAY... as I looked up Sterling to see if you were... sideways... or on one wheel... or getting pulled over... he was walking across his front yard... with a big smile on his face and gave a thumbs up!

SAM... I am disappointed in you not calling!!!!

Kcbill...

Missed your call... got your e-mail.

After the chat with Sam... and the e-mail from you... I have decided to not do what I was considering.

That's right... I have decided against the experimental brain transplant from a chimpanzee. I think I set my goal and expectation too high!

Thanks to both of you for the support in helping me decide!

See ya at the next Mob get together!

Thunder...

Beginning to wonder if you had been kidnaped... was ready to start a collection for the ransom. I hope we woulda done better than the collection for the Frankster

Everyone...

Well...

I have a story about a project.

Are ya ready???

I tapped power from under the fly screen on the XB and now I have a power receptacle for cigarette lighter adapters to power my GPS and/or radar detector.

It all started out...

with no problems or incidents!

Then I powered everything up and tested it...

and everything worked!!!

No fires... no sparks... no blown fuses... no explosions... no squirrels... no shots fired... no fire department, ambulance or police response... no injuries.

everything when letter perfect!

WHICH SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!!

THIS NEVER HAPPENS!!!

Wait... do I smell smoke coming from the bike shop????

OH SH*T... Gotta go!!!!!!!!!
