Julie, sounds good. I could use a half a day of riding. I will see if I can get at least one bike road worthy. S2 is in pieces, exhaust manifold leak on the S2T, fouled plugs on the S1W. I need to adjust the suspension on the XB.... Always something.

Julie, depending on what way you come down maybe Lynn and I can meet you in Penrose at the gas station and then meet Jody in Canon City and ride out to Texas Creek Junction for lunch.

You know I'm up for a ride this weekend. I'll try to get my new "Traction Grips" installed. I'd like to ride back towards Ft. Carson to meet up with everyone so we can all do Hwy. 115 together. Then on to Texas Creek. I know a route from Penrose over to Canon City on the north side of town that bypasses Hwy 50 between the two towns.

Frank, meeting at Penrose would work. We'll come a more direct route to get down there and a more scenic route going home.

Ok Julie, let me know what time you think you will be down there. When you say direct route which way are you thinking of going?

If you come straight down the interstate to 50 you will pass by my house and Lynn and I can meet you somewhere around the interstate. Otherwise we will head North and get on 115 down to Penrose...

I think last weekend we hit the road about 10am but the way it has been warming up we may be able to head out about 9am. Frank

Frank, we were thinking of taking 105 to Monument, I25 to 115 and down to Penrose. We prefer not to take the interstate as much as possible.

Definitely want to get an early start so we can get back in a timely manner. I'll let you know later on details of time.

Ok Julie, we will see you in Penrose. I think we will leave around 0900 and it takes us about 30 to 60 minutes to get to Penrose so lets say 10am leave Penrose to head to Canyon City.

Any other Buellers around want to tag along?

The Shell station right before you get to highway 50 on the East side of 115. It has a big parking lot, coffee and snacks...

Thanks for the invite but I have a busy weekend and cannot do a whole day ride. I rode today to Decker's and the weather was fantastic up there. A little sand in some places but very nice.
Wish I could join ya for the ride, but will before to long on another. Ride safe!

Great get together today. I called Kim and they decided to turn back due to weather. The weather in his area is always a little iffy.

Lynn and I met Jody, Julie and Dan in Penrose, CO




We rode down 50 to Texas Creek Junction for lunch and Johnny Law showed up.




Lynn and I split from the group to get home and decided to check the sites at the Royal Gorge.

BTW: Julie, two things. I have already forgotten then name of the company that made your intercom system. Getting old is a bitch. Memory is the first or second thing to go, I cant remember.

The second is if you can email me the pics you took or post them here that would be great.

Hey Guys,

Just got home. We left Castle Rock at 0830 and got home at 2030 (that's 8:30 pm). 12 hours on the bikes, yea!!!

Took 9 and High Park to 24, to I25 then stopped in Monument for dinner at Texas Road House. Then went back to 105 thru Palmer Lake and got back on 25 in Larkspur. Put on almost 400 miles.

It was a great ride, a pleasure meeting Lynn and fun riding with you guys. Must do it again. Will post the pictures after I get a chance to wind down.

Oh, and don't forget to turn your clocks back tonite.

Oh yea, Frank. Blueant is the company and the product is called Interphone. (talk about memory loss)

Thanks Julie, I think that is the setup I am going to go with. I was impressed at the small size of the system. I download the users manual and need to see if it will work ok with a GPS (it should since it is BT capable) which will be the next addition to my touring bike (the 96 S2T)....

Lynn and I stopped at the Royal Gorge and again in Canon City. We took 115 North and then headed South again and stopped at our VFW Post for a cold one and headed home. I was a little beat up from riding the paint shaker but not as bad as I thought I would be.
