Well all i can say is... SAN DIEGO SUCKS!!!! OMG this place is boring!!!
Not to mention that the 3 hrs time difference means all my folks at home are sleep when I'm sitting here looking for TV stations that aren't there! Did I mention there is nothing special about having a Taco Joint on every corner? Can a brotha get some KFC?

Whats everyone got planned for the weekend? There is a Ride for the VA hospital(?) on sat. im going with 04blaster, my dad and maybe matt's brother. Sunday im free so i will probly run pungo once. So if anyone wants to come along hit me  |

I just got back from Cali (yeah, short trip), and will be up for riding. I still haven't been to work, so my plans may have to change, but let me know if you guys do something. Mel, Googlemap KFC, they're all over the West Coast, man...I dated a girl from San Diego, and we went to visit her mom, and we ate at a KFC...where there's a will, there's a way!!! I think I'm mostly just frustrated from the fact that I have to pay extra attention to everything from the roads to the traffic hell, I don't want to end up in one of "C.H.I.P.s" type freeway pile ups while I'm out here. (joking) but there are an awful lot of Taco Joints |

Lived in CA for 4 years, traffic sucks!!!
Next Sat 15th we are having a poker party. Very friendly game family and kids welcome, we have 2-3 regular wifes that play. I have attached more information in the word document attached.

How much longer are you out in Cali? It's been a few weeks now, right? I hear ya about the whole traffic business...I lived out there for a while (ok, 14 months in Monterey...definitely not Eric's 4 years...that'd be horrible!), and traffic in and around the Seattle area sucks, too. Hope you have a good, safe trip. Watch out for John Baker and Poncherello...damn 7 Mary 3 and 7 Mary 4 will be looking for ya! HA! CHiPs was a great show. |

Too bad I'm not there now, we could hang out. I travel there a lot. I go between North Island (over the big bridge) and Camp Pendleton. What are you doing there anyway? I was going to see if you and Matt wanted to bring the kids by tomorrow. Mikey will be 3 years old tomorrow. Cycle world did a quick review of the XT and actually gave it a good review. The main complaint was the limited steering lock on it. |

If you notice, I take a wide turn in the parking lot, like I was sticking my head out of the sunroof on a Limo.
Almost dumped it a couple times, but the "goose" brings it back upright pretty quick. |

I can tell you I am still sore, with our ride to south side we had to do around 400 miles.
With the $10 1st place will typically take home over $100
We do it tourny style so the 10 gets you 2500 impress chips |

i was never any good at any sort of gambling. i don't even buy lottery tickets. -ANY SORT OF GAMBLING- i see the "buy in" as payment for entertainment. kinda takes the fun out of it if you know you have no chance of winning

congrats to lil' Mikey, but i got's family coming in to visit. my aunt is making a "good-bye tour" on her way to a retirement in hawaii.
but i can swing by next week: i got a few days off work... like 6 in a row. work hard, play hard |

Well guys, I have a confession to make. I wasn't actually in San Diego. So I guess I was a little "overly critical" of the city. I've been spending my time in Del Mar and Dana Point. I guess that's like being in Toano and saying that Richmond is boring.
But today is a free day and I'm sleeping in LA tonight. So, I'll have plenty of pictures when I leave! If any of you know about the roads in Angele's Nat Forest and Azusa's Canyon, then you know I'm planning on doing some serious road scouting. In case we ever decide to do a Coast-to-Coast Iron Butt. All we need are a couple more XT's...
Dave, I'll be back Saturday night. Just been out here visiting my customers in the Aerospace Business. I'll be more then happy to get back home. Hey, I'll talk to Michelle about the birthday party, maybe she'll bring over Malcom. We'll see.

Bummer, Didn't see your post earlier.
I was wondering what the usual way to resolve an issue after getting a tire changed and the dealership damaging the paint on the rim? What are your thoughts on this?

oh, you're not the first guy...
SSHD bent my rear rim. bayside followed suit on the front rim, but to one-up them; just plain ol' didn't balance either. and then to put the cherry on top the service and general mangers told me to just go away
my thoughts are to DIY next time around
before and after pics would be close the case... but i doubt you expected them to ruin you rims 
i'd just try to get some free touch-up paint for them. good luck |

I would definitely tell them about it and give them a chance to make it right(new wheel).
Next time take it to Redline.
A little more pricey, but guaranteed work.
They took before and after pics of my wheels because they had 2 scratches before. |

Ok thanks guys,
I took it back and the nice lady at the counter took pictures and said that it looked like it was a warrantee issue due to something about it not being prepped correctly at the factory. She said it wouldn't matter that I was out of warrantee
and the factory SHOULD take care of it. I hope they are super fast because I am set to go back to Utah in a week and a half... hope they don't read this and say oh well he will drop it.
I rode the bike 140 miles today and well...the paint on the rim doesn't seem to like it current location on the rim. It is spreading across the great state of Virginia at a pretty good pace considering what it was doing pre-tire change(sticking to my wheel). I will give them a chance to fix it. By the way someone appears to have traded their 1125r for an 1125cr. The sons of B's took my red one and left me with the black one. Hope they can hold it for a year, my wife says I'll be ready for another bike payment then... I should fly out and ride with you guys again then do another cross country drive back to Utah! I guess we will see. BTW you guys rock, if I can get a hold of a HRH patch or two I will sport it on everything I wear, just let me know what I have to do!
