Loretta's still on the lift at work.
Only difference from when I last saw her, is a couple of packages, also on the lift.

Today is Max's "Monday" so I expect her back soon.
Going nuts here. Leaves are turning and I wanna RIDE!

Jody, I take it you got everything done? Have fun.

Frank - talked to Tom Saturday, thanks.
Pinned James for a price and he said 250.00, before all I got was "around 200".
I'm going to open up the boxes today and see what exactly is there.

Yep, Zak, I got enough done to ride her. Sorry about Loretta. Hopefully you'll be out there with her soon.

Jody, glad you got your new "shoes" on. Our bikes are loaded up in the trailer. Dan is now working on my son's bike to remove the antifreeze and put in the coolant they'll allow on the track.

Broke 15K miles today on my bike's 2nd birthday.

Am getting very excited about the track days.

Brought her home after work Sunday.
Max is great, buttoned her all up on his "Monday"!

Rode her home and put her good seat and airbox on.
Never send a loved one to the hospital with their jewelry on...
Then went for a little ride... oh YEAH! that felt good.

John, if you're out there, being that tomorrow, Sat, is suppose to be nice, Dan and I are planning on riding out your way. My son may be joining us so the ride may not be as spirited as normal.

If you'd like to join us, let me know.

Frank, we'll probably leave the Castle Rock area around 9:30-10:00, have lunch in Evergreen and play in that area.

Let me know and maybe we can meet somewhere. Cell # is 303-589-8150

Julie, I will have to pass this time, apparently I have some things I promised to do tomorrow so I will have to do them. If we get out it will only be for a short ride.

Oh Darn, I'd love to ride with you guys Julie, but I'm already back in Canon City for the weekend since I finished up early today. BTW, I passed all my written tests at the DMV for my CDL so I'm half way to the full license.

Jody, we are playing it by ear. You are welcome to come up if you like. Lynn has stuff she is doing at the VFW this morning and I need to get the S1W out a bit. I think our riding will be very limited.

I also need to wash that big red truck before it gets too cold and work on the 95 S2 a bit so we will be close to the house all weekend.

Ditto John, what a beautiful day. We stopped in Castle Rock to have dinner then headed home. Just in time to see a great sunset.

Here are some pictures. Unfortunately didn't get any pictures of Mike or Mark. Next time.

We had quite an adventure on our trip to Vegas for the Inside Pass Track day. Left on Tues, 9/30 about 6:30am. Heading up past Green River got a blowout on the front drivers side. Fortunately, not going too fast. Had it fixed, then headed to Richfield for the night. Put two new tires on Wed morning, then headed south.

About 100 miles down the road had another blowout, this time the inside rear drivers side tire. When having this fixed, realized the rear axles were leaking....so, we limped the RV to Cedar City and parked it. Rented a SUV big enough to pull our trailer with the bikes and headed to Vegas.

Now that our home was in Cedar City, we needed a place to stay. My son's old boss just moved to Vegas so we stayed with him and his new wife. Very nice of them.

Had a blast on the track tho. I put on almost 120 miles on the track in 1 1/2 days.

We drove the rented SUV home and then had to turn around last weekend to return the SUV and pick up the fixed RV. $$$$$$$$$$$$

This was a fun but very expensive trip.

And many thanks to Jody as he tagged along with us. Much moral support and friendship.

Had a nice ride today. A little cool but not bad and LOTS of deer on the road.

Jody, hope you passed your test and got to test ride an 1125.

Julie,
Where did you guys go?
I spent the day riding Mt. Bikes. Still on two wheels. Will try to ride the Buell mid-week.

Hi John,
We were up your way. Basically did the same ride as last week with you, with a few differences. Went on the road by the golf course in Evergreen and that area, back up to the main hwy. That's where we saw all the deer.

A fair amount of sand on the road today too.

Golden Gate had very little traffic on it today. NICE. When we got back to Morrison, headed back up to Evergreen and there was a ton of traffic there.

Next ride will probably use the heated gear.

Have fun on your mid-week ride.

Julie,
The traffic in Morrison was for the soap box race in red rocks park. We rode the mt. bikes up there to watch some of it. The deer were in that area I mentioned to you last week that they love to hang out in. Glad you had a good and safe ride.

Last I saw him, he had a SEG after riding the 1125.

Zac, you are correct I did have a SEG! Thanks for the invite. AND...I now have my CDL Class A license with endorsements for tankers, doubles/triples, and HAZMAT. So if we need to haul bikes across the country in a semi I can do it!

I was exhausted after getting home yesterday and I'm not sure how much energy I will have left today to ride, but I sure hope to. Hey Julie, the horn on the truck did wonders to scatter the deer that like to hang out in the middle of the road. I found out last Thursday while driving down from Estes Park. I want to go ride the bike up there sometime soon. As long as the streets are dry and the temperatures are above 25F I think I can hack it.

So I ended up getting a sweet ride in today after all! I took the YTM(Yellow Time Machine) up Shelf Road to Cripple Creek, then over to Guffey, then back to Canon City. It started getting cold on the way back. Shelf road is, of course, gravel. The new Pirelli Scorpions worked great. I tried this road once before, but with bad, worn out tires and it was too scary. No problem with the Scorps! I didn't get much over twenty MPH on the road, but that made it easier to take it all in. Beautiful country. Saw a herd of Big Horn Sheep up close since they were grazing alongside the road near the keyhole rock. I've never been that close to them before - too bad I didn't have my camera.

This Buell is just good therapy for me, know what I mean?

Congrats Jody. And the 1125 was fun, eh? Ready to trade your YTM in?

We took another short ride this afternoon. Did use the heated jacket and what a difference.

John, we heard on the news last night about the soap box and all the traffic. There was a guy from one of the news stations right in the middle of main street in Morrison catching the traffic. I couldn't believe all the cars parked along the canyon for miles. It looks like it was fun tho.

Therapy, Buell, oh yeah!!!

Hey Julie,

I enjoyed the 1125, but it couldn't steal my heart away from my YTM. The slipper clutch in the 1125 makes a funny noise, and the engine is silky smooth. I could see myself getting a lot of tickets, or worse, if I owned one.

I can't help it, I love my XB9.

Congrats Jody, your XB9 is a sweet looking machine. I am glad you got to ride the 1125R so you can appreciate the XB9S. The 1125R is in a different class all together.

A young college student came by last week to borrow some saddle bags so he could ride his XB12S to UT. He returned the gear Friday and wants help with his 10K service.
Of course when I help people work on their bike, (I love people that WANT to learn), it translates into me drinking beer and guiding them. But of course you know that LOL.

I thought I would have the 95 S2 as a roller this weekend but the idiots that installed my bearings for me screwed it up so I will be back to talk to them tomorrow.

I fixed the speedo, rebuilt the front brake, and got the rims cleaned up. I did not want to waste the whole weekend so I started polishing the chrome rims I got many months ago for the S1W.

Lynn and I were able to take a little ride on Saturday. I had to run up North and decided to take the S2T. Lynn rode along on her bike and we ran into friends and ending up in Palmer Lake area. A real nice ride but I now have a manifold leak on the S2T so as soon as the S2 is rolling it is time to work on the S2T.

It is always something when you have multiple bikes.

If anyone in Colorado has a ECMSpy Learning Party I would be very interested in attending.

Hi Frank,
Dan is always is the process of "learning" the ECMspy program. He is constantly out in the garage adjusting "things". He'll change his a bit and if it works, will change mine. he did some adjustments yesterday before our ride and the bike ran great. a little less mpg but a lot of power.
