Paul

DON"T KICK THEM in THE BALLS TOO HARD!!! Get your research done and bring it with you. I would take the cost of tires of the price versus them putting on new tires. You might not get what you like or want if they buy the tires. $4000.00 or a little more is probally about right.

Kevin,
It's a Tungsten E2, but I wouldn't call it "tuning". I can only reset the tps/afv, and datalog. Can't change anything else.

Newer versions might do more, but I haven't checked them out yet.

Hmm. Good advice however NADA for an 03 XB9S is 3960 for an "average" bike. The fact that it has been downed, questionable maintenance history, and worn tires makes this less than "average". Correct me if I'm wrong but its about $300.00 for a set of tires. Agree/Disagree?

Hey Paul

I've got nothing in this but remember it's them that have something you want. Also not knowing the bike they may have more in it then they would like to have. Be smart and GOOD LUCK!!!!

If it was for sale, BUT IT ISN"T...

I might get $5K-5500 for my SL.

Religous oil changes, Race kit+ Drummer, no evidence of being dropped...once.

Did I mention that it's not for sale?

Tires...hehe..
I use the fingernail test...

If I can't sink a fingernail part-way into the tread, I'm careful riding on them. Time for new ones.

Confidence that your tires will stick is something that you have to wrap your head around at the track. It happens to carry over to everywhere else.

The only exception that I have used are the Scorpion Syncs. Hard cold, but stick when abused. And great with loose sand/gravel in the road/off road. That's why the Uly crowd likes them.

Hey all. Thanks for all the good advice. I'm still unsure if I am going the Hog route or sticking w/ Buell. It will depend on what becomes available first and which ever is the better deal, I guess. In any event, I will have the Buell I want whether it's now or whenever. Right now, I just wanna ride

MEL/MATT,
I just got in, and can be reached at home 271-8623 or my gov cell 621-6461. I lost my cell phone, so don't try and call it. Give me a call when you all get up in the morning so we can arrange pick up of the trailer.

Dave

James/Tank/Mike....Im heading down to Morgans Corner MX on the 5th (next Sunday) for some practice laps with the KTM. You guys are the only folks I know with dirtbikes sooooo, lets ride. I know Mike said something about Buelltoberfest but if anyone wants to ride down. Its free to watch the bikes on the track roostin/jumpin for free. $25 to ride all day. I'll have the EZ up (if needed) for shade. Take 17 south just across the border into NC and turn right at the very first stop light. MCMX is on right...cant miss it. Goody

Paul those people are crazy did you tell them that you can get a new one for just a little bit more.

Mike mybrother in-law might be joining us for the trip to Suches he has Tanks Frankenbolt, I figure we can put one in the bed of the truck (whichever one is shorter of the four) and then 3 on the trailer. When do you want to go and get the trailer, just let me know a day or so ahead of time so I can coordinate to get out of work in time. I have been working this past week from 430 A.M. until about 8 or 9 at night. This BS is getting old but oh well cannot wait until next Friday!!!!!!!!!!

i just got the trailer home a few minutes ago. -thank you, david-

lets shoot for every body who's going/coming with me to show up at my house at 1 PM tomorrow for a test fit of the trailer. it looks huge, but those 27 inch handle bars seem to grow in confined spaces. weird, i know.
and we gotta figger out where to install the d-rings so everything stays put.

*******don't miss out on the burn-out contest!!!!*******
my rear started showing cords on the way back from ray-price, so it is toast anyway, and i got new rubbers in the attic.

Jimmy,
Those aluminum sprockets are meant for track duty...3-4 trips. I'ts a maintenance item, like tires. For "street" duty, it should be changed when the rear tire is changed. It's off the bike anyway.

That steel chain will wear them pretty fast, even with proper lube.

Just a heads-up!

Jimmy

I'll try to set it up for Thursday, so all lights and logistics can be worked out. Do you have a ramp to load into the back of the truck. If not I have a nice aluminum one we can use.

Paul

They are smoking crack and will have that thing for a really long time at that price

Jason... I'm thinking meeting up and topping off the fuel for a 7am departure. Where is the only question. I'm thinking since we're going to hit the slab the whole way, why don't you just meet me at the McDonalds on Mercury Blvd. We can get a bite to eat and fuel up. Then ride 64 up to Richmond and then catch 85 down from there. It's a straight shot till we get to GA.

was it an all white XB_R? i saw one on independence last night, but was in the truck, so i had no chance.
who are these non-badweb buellers???

it took just over an hour for both. the front was super-quick. the belt/gaurds took the longest.

myron, could you swing by tuesday evening?
both for the d-rings and also i wouldn't mind an extra hand for the belt install, or just someone to stand there and talk with.
the wife doesn't seem to be very interested in the whole thing

Jason... Just come through the HRBT and take the first Mercury exit. (about 5 miles after the tube) McD's will be just after the light on the right.

Myron... I started to take 58 but I remembered... School day means School Buses!!! So it'll be well worth the 20 miles if I don't have to watch any dang kids getting loaded!
