Can you start tomorrow at 11:00?" I said I'd see him then. Get there at 10:45, fill out the W-4, the G-4, yet another application, and the paperwork to prove I'm a US citizen. Next thing I know some goober calls Jeff to the back. A while later I go through yet another interview, not with Jeff, but with the GM and his assistant. They say they'll be in touch, in the meantime Jeff is drowning in shipping and receiving, having to answer the phone etc... while the floor help wonders around... You'd think they'd want someone at least to help get some of this stuff under control and organized. From what I was able to gather, they had a real go getter, Ducati mastermind, that somehow pissed them off, and he either left or got fired. They've had two people in for the job I applied for, that lasted two days each. They're really upset with the guy they lost, pissed off they couldn't hold on to either newbie, and now are worried if I'm smart enough to learn (they almost said that exactly) in the mean time they're up to their asses in parts no one knows what to do with, and the floor help is opening boxes without them being received, so they don't know what they have any longer. I was all willing to help clean up and get organized, but they seemed to be more worried about how much I knew about Ducati specific parts, not about how I could help them see the light of day. Oh well, their loss. Still pisses me off though.   New12r Posted on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - 01:47 pm:        I feel ya glitch, having a horrid day myself. We got no hot water till I can afford an electrician to get me 240v to the back room so I can get an electric hot water heater. Told Gas Inc. to F off this morning and come get that god for saken propane tank off my property. Besides, the stove works so I can boil water to get a hot bath. Now to make things worse, I did not get the JOB at carey paul......Today needs to be over. A WERA gift card for 80.00 and this years racing license which is 100.00 for free and this cool Championship certificate. #1 Championship plate still hasn't come in. I luv free stuff, its even better when you've won it! I know why their sending it now in the 08' season. Its because now that I'm racing in expert class they know I won't be winning any races soon and the don't want me to quit, they want my money....and maybe trying to make me feel good now that I'm loosing....lol! Michelin sponsors the WERA 'National challenge Series' races just like Dunlop, Pirelli and B'stones sponsors all different kinds races and different racing org's When you podium, the tire company's give you a free podium hat. I did use Michelin when I started racing last year. Why did I change tire company's? 1st reason, I podium'd a couple of races and didn't get my contingency money, I waited 6-8 weeks. I needed that money to help buy tires, their not free. I asked Michelin for help and felt like I was blown off because I didn't have a big team and big sponsor support, being a newbie didn't help either. lol!!! 2nd, I like the Michelin tires but seem like when they wear down the feedback goes from one extreme to the other. 3rd, I crashed....low sided at Barber. I know it was mostly my own error but felt like the tires had some factor for the crash too. I still like the Pilot Powers and the Diablo C's, etc. Their both great tires and I've used both for street,track days and even mock-up races. I'd use them again, just not to race. Charlie, Thanks man! Your my wheelie inspiration! Btw you rocked on the Uly! I'll try to get that video up tonight. Last night was date night, lol! Trying to find tools for a Duc at the track is pretty f***ing hard I found out. Seems alot of new gear is in order.
