Hi Everyone,
This is the first Sunday coming up an the weather looks OK for a Sunday ride after Breakfast. We could plan to leave the Morrison Conoco around 11:00 am, destination undetermined. We can discuss Sunday at the Thursday night meeting at Dewey's as there may be a more accurate weather forcast by Thursday night.
Four of us have signed up for two track days at Miller Motor Sports Park on July 19th and 20th. In order to ride those two days you have to join the NESBA organization at the cost of $75.00 in addition to paying for the track days. The total cost of the NESBA membership and the two track days is $440.00, while not cheap is still affordable if you can save a few bucks between now and July. Rooms are averaging $ 139.00 a night, double occupancy.
We signed up for this event as Racing 2 Save lives canceled their track days and the Holiday Inn would not refund the rooms that were reserved to attend Racing 2 Save Lives.
I am hoping to change the Saratoga Ride date as it conflicts with the Miller track days, we can also discuss this on Thursday night. See you all at Dewey's

JC, after your meeting tonight if you have a destination in mind let us down South know and maybe we could get some of the guys and gals down here to meet up with you and do a little riding.

A lot of the guys like to do the Deckers ride and that would be a good meeting spot if you think you are going to be headed that way.

Dan and I are going to be doing a "race school" class thru MRA at Pueblo on April 18. Full day on the track with lessons. I am always looking for new things to learn on and about my bike. It costs $150.00 plus membership to AMA for $39.00.

There is also going to be a women's race team starting back again but I don't think I want to do that. Just lots of track time hopefully in the future. Will probably go back to Vegas in October for Femmoto. It was a blast and Buell is having their "Inside Pass" track day there the day before the Femmoto events. 1125R's to ride!!!!

Oops, forgot about the meeting tonite. Oh well, hope you all had a good and informative time. We are planning on doing the Taos trip again this year (Dan will probably drive our new ((old)) RV down there). I'll ride down but probably put the bike in the trailer for the ride home. So if anyone wants to trailer their bikes home, we should be able to haul 2 more bikes besides ours.

Spring is around the corner (well, no it's here but it's currently snowing here in Castle Rock). Happy riding!!

Julie, I am glad you and Dan will make the Taos trip this year. I am looking forward to it as well and hope Lynn can join me on that one. The NM people are talking about moving the location this year so we will see what happens.

Looks like another Saturday shot due to weather, Lynn and I will brave the cold to head up North to Elizabeth and stay overnight with some friends and will ride with them on Sunday which looks to be warmer.

I am ready for summer.....

Lynn and I will be scouting locations for an overnight (weekend) type Buell gathering for the state of Colorado. I would like to have it down highway 50 or close to that area. Pretty simple requirements, shower/toliet and campground which has RV hookups or at least a place to park. If you or Dan have any ideas (or anyone else on the BadWeb) I would like to hear them.

Right now I am leaning towards the Chaffee County fair grounds. The Motto Guzzi group has an event there and we have camped there as well. I am thinking Southern Colorado in case the NM and AZ guys and gals would like to join us but anywhere in the state would be great as long as there are good roads around.

Let me know what you think.

MIGHT BE A GOOD CHANCE TO GET TOGETHER AS WE GO THUR THE SPRINGS.
Hello All,
This coming Sunday is scheduled for our annual Bishops Castle Ride. Only one thing, Last month most of us decided "been there, done that, way too many times" and we
decided that maybe a nice ride to Canon City for lunch and take the newbies up over
Skyline Drive might be fun. I was also thinking, I`ve never been over the Royal Gorge before either so that might be an option too. Those people who know me well know that I`m afraid of heights so it might be fun to watch the show. As per normal plan, lets meet a RMH-D/Buell and attempt to leave at 9:00 We can take 105 to Monument and I-25 through the Springs to Hwy 115 then to Hwy 50 into Canon. I know of a nice Mexican place for lunch if that sounds good for everyone. On the return trip we can backtrack to the Springs and then take 83 back to Denver but we can all decide all this as we go.Hope to see you Sunday.

JC, I like the way you think. I just posted this as well in the Denver section and sent a email to the Altitude Riders. I am thinking (if it is cool with you guys) we could meet at Pikes Peak HD since you will be blasting down I-25.... Let me know...

Zac, Maximum and Jammin.... Think you could rally some Northern riders?... Frank

We'll definitely keep in touch with you. We're actually looking for areas not only to Buell on but to take the dirt bikes out. There are several dirt bike areas in the Woodland Park area and the area around Salida has some great Buell rides.

We'll be taking a week long bike trip probably in July (did it last year and had a great time) Will probably start up towards Steamboat Springs and work our way down and thru as many twisties that we can find. I have friends in the Aspen area so that will be one of our stops.

Looking forward to this Friday too. Getting some track time.

Stay safe

For all us Southern Colorado Riders:

Meet up at the gas station on highway 115 south, just before you get to highway 50. We will meet the Colorado Thunder Group there at that time. If anyone is organizing a ride out of the Springs down there or wants to meet up, post a message. Lynn and I will meet up with everyone at the gas station.

If anyone needs directions shoot me a pm... Frank

Steve, I hope you get your bike back together soon. Sounds like you got a good project going there. You will have to let us in on what your doing sometime.

JC, I have been in contact with Dave and am on his mailing list. I had the pleasure of riding with him and the rest of your group in Taos last year.

I look forward to Sundays ride.

Dan, that would be great if you could join us. I guess you have a couple of options. Hookup with Dave from HCHD, Zac and maybe Steve and ride down or hook up with the Colorado Thunder Club at Rocky Mountain HD. They are leaving there at 0900. Our group down South will meet with them highway 115 and 50 (there is a gas station there in Penrose that assuming it is not on fire).

I can not give you directions to Rocky Mountain HD in Littleton coming from the North but I bet someone on the BadWeb can. Frank

Hey guys and gals, it was good meeting everyone and seeing some I have not seen since the Taos Rally last year. We will have to do this again when there is not so much wind. Lynn and I made it home OK, we had to get on I25 for about 15 miles and fight the wind. I will check on Mike and Scott (the S1 on the side of the road on 115) to make sure they got the bike home.

I thought I took more pictures but guess I didn't..

Frank
