Hey there everyone. Just want to let you know that Chris and I reallllly enjoyed SPLASH this year. It was great to see everyone, and meet new friends. I sure hope that next year is bigger and better!

Mike, Kim, or even Code Red, I need directions to the track on Sunday. Chris is going out to Pats Acres and I think I will try and do both. Can someone help me out? Want to see you Cody, Dad and Mom both say you are really doing good.

Bob and Deb, any chance you are coming down to see Cody race? Deb hows the boo-boos? How was camping?

Later, Loni

SuperSPLASH '03 did indeed set new standards for excellence, and it couldn't have happened without all the hard work put in by Chris and Loni, the Wood Bros. and Families, and Bob and Deb -- thanks Hooligans!

and thanks to everyone who attended. by my count we had 41 bikes roll out of the park in Woodland on Saturday morning, and a finer group of zanies you'll never meet.

and geez it's sure great fun at the end of a long, satisfying day on the road to get the Canadiacs wired on the good stuff!

Kim: Sorry to not answer sooner.

Most of the time a person can't post pictures is becaus the file is too large. The BadWeB software requires the file size is less than 52KB. You can do the following to reduce the size of your picture file:
1) Convert the file to a .JPG (i.e. My Picture.JPG)
2)Crop the photo to show only the most important section.
3)Resize the photo to no more than 600 pixels wide (Most of the photo's I post are 500 pixels wide)
4) Use Image Optimizer to add extra compression and therefore decrease the size of the file. You can go to a plus 35% extra compression and minus 25% Image quality and the resulting image will look OK on a a computer screen.

Hey all:

Greatings for Venice Italy

My wife and I took an all night sleaper train from Paris to Venice and It has now been three days sence I've heard the awful sound of a 2-stroke motor scooter. May God be praised.

Life is good here, The food is great, wine is cheap, and the girls are pretty and scimply dressed. How good does it get!

Deb, Buellnuts, you guys never fessed up to the extent of Deb's injuries. What's the verdict? Is she the same sweet tender virgin that she was before Splash? Or just used meat, thrown aside by the cruel world of Thunder Cross?

Goin' to the doctor tomorrow on my wrist. Still have the brace on and it's been 6 weeks. Even an old man oughta heal by now. Wish me luck.

Shotgun, good luck tomorrow at the doc. I went in last Friday thinking it would be the last time I would have to go. But no, if in 2 months my thumb joint does not tighten up alittle, back into the splint I go maybe.

Well you all missed the Code Red show us his stuff today. He was great on the track! I have said it before and I will say it over "We will see this kid racing big time some day." I was so proud of you Cody.

Thanks Loni. Doc says, "Must not be broken if you have no more pain than that, but we'll send you to Xray. Then you can take that splint off and start getting some exercise."

So I went over to Xray and the Doc there says "it's busted straight across the wrist. Is that all you got on it, that little splint?"

So I guess I wait for my guy to call back and tell me to get my butt to the bone man for a cast. But it really feels pretty good. I mean, I can ride like this. But with a cast? Gonna wish I had Harvey's Hondamatic.

Oh well, we'll see..............

You folks have to stop injuring yourselves. Pain hurts.

I'm in Florence, Italy and the operative word here is hot. As in, HOT! WAY HOT! Too hot.

I love the internet. A great way to keep in touch.

Hi All, I'm new, Buellnuts is making me post. That stinky rotten neighbor of mine! :)

I just got my endorsement a few weeks ago and now I'm looking for a cheap starter bike to get me out there.

I'm 5' 2" (and a half! hee hee) so I'm a shorty. I was hoping to find a Suzuki SV650 or maybe a GS550, etc. Of course I'm not sure what would be best for me.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what bike I should get? Does anybody have a good cheap starter bike for sell?

I appreciate any and all help!

Thanks!

Welcome,Kikola. Can't help you with the bike suggestions, though I think Loni's SV is for sale. Sportster come in a lower, "Hugger", model. Mine fits me fine, but I'm 6'5". If we meet, we should avoid the slow dances.

We need immediate input on the Canadian riders section re: Border Raid. Come to Penticton!!!!!!!!!

Howdy Ho to Bob & Deb's neighbor! That didn't sound quite right, I wasn't calling you a Ho I was simply saying Howdy! Look forward to riding with you from one 5'2'' person to another! See you/ride with you soon. Are you going on Border Raid?

Hello Kikloa, Well welcome to our world! It's nice to know that we have a new comer! Short is good, I am 5'3". Sportyeric mentioned that my SV might be up for sale, well sorry I have not decided if I want to sale it or not. I will be looking at a new Sportster when the 2004's come out and will decide then. Keep in touch, and hope that you can make it to Border Raid!

Loni

Kimberley. When Jim and I were riding through Montana and Idaho a few years back, our greeting to the locals in the one state was Howdyho Idahodians!! No comment on our state at the time.

Actually, it was Hidyho Idahodians! If memory serves me correctly.

I could also add comment to our state of mind too, but i'll save that conversation for Border Raid.

Hi All, thanks so much for the nice welcome! Loni, was the SV650 your first bike? And I'm not the only shorty, yahoo! :)

Hi Kimberlie, at this point, I have no plans to go on Border Raid. My first goal is to get a bike and then go run over some neighbor kids. Joking! hee hee.

Eric & Jim - can't wait to here your HO story! Or was that HIHO story, oh no that would be the 7 little dwarfs I am thinking of and well you two are far from that~.... can't wait to here that story, how many beers will I need to truly appreciate the humor or state of mind you were in?

Kikola - My first true riding bike was a SV650, they are very easy to ride and are smooth, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The seat height is perfect. Good luck finding a bike and even better luck running over some neighbor kids (LOL). I hope you can make it to Border Raid the most fun that I had was when I actually got to go and do some real riding and I learned so much that way (still learning by the way). I had been out on the surface streets riding around on little short rides, but actually just getting on and going with some of the most skilled riders and fun people really made it what riding is all about. Of course, living next to Bob & Debi you already know all of that and have probably breathed in enough exhaust fumes and dust over the years from their bikes that it was only a matter of time! LOL Hope to see you soon.
