general question.. who changes their own tires? if so , do you have a changer, or do you go about it like I do with spoons?

Good question, I've been looking into the one from Harbor Freight, but noticed lately it's not in the catalog any longer.
So this past time I past them off to a friend that did them for me on a car tire machine.

The Harbor freight one is on clearance for $30 plus the MC adapter is like $80.

Everyone I know who has one loves it, and cycle gear does free balancing now!

I let cycle gear do 'em...No idea what they use. I'd get a tire machine, but then I'd have to get rid of a bike to make room, and I'm just not ready to make that kind of sacrifice.

thanks Charlie, I'll check that out. Seems like a pretty good price that'll pay for itself in a very short period of time.
Maybe I'll put a donation jar in my basement shop to help cover the costs......... now to figure out where to get rid of this used up rubber I've got stacking up from last year.

i should get to Suches thurs pm prior to MBV, put me down for some sweep and general labor if you need. no-mar makes a nice setup but is pricey. the cheaper changers are useable but can be challenging if not anchored down. i've changed about 20 sets with my cheap changer.(not all mine) i also got a cheap static balancer off ebay. i would rather pay somebody $20 a tire but it seems that it is too much trouble to drive to somebody else and nobody is charging $20 anymore. they started looking at my 1125r yesterday but no diagnosis yet. ride safe,
