I am pretty sure I will make it to The Other Place... assuming nothing late at work happens, and I like the idea of a ride to Lawrence... if I can make it.

Can anyone tell me which jail Sam got tossed into!? It has been so long since he has made a Wednesday night... he must be locked up some place!!! :-)

SAM... let me know... I will take a collection for some commissary money and soap-on-a-rope! I might even come up with a cake with a file in it!...and whats up with your XB Nallin project??

Hey everyone!

The Flattrack races that were supposed to be held during the HOG Rally have been postponed until Friday August 22nd. I still have 8 tickets to this event. I had 4 comped and paid for 4. They are $7.50 each. I am offering these tickets to anyone that attended the Rally first, then will see how many are remaining and offer them on a first come first serve basis to everyone else. I need to hear from the guys that attended the rally by July 31st, then I will make the rest available on August 1st. Please let me know what your intentions are. I will not be able to make a whole weekend out of this event as I have to attend my best friends bachelor party Saturday the 23rd. So this will be a one night event unless any one is interested in coming ove thurday the 21st. please let me know. Once again, Heather and I are opening our home to everyone for the night or two.

Keith

Keith,
Isn't that the same weekend as the K of C Bar-b-Que? Either way I'm interested in coming down for them, so yes count me in. So have you had a lot of cleaning up to do? I saw South Park and Indian Mounds was torn through pretty good.

Ben

P.S. I'm thinking after this weekend I'm going to have to change my nick to XBBen.

P.P.S. Got a new cell phone, still the same #.

Ben,
That is the weekend after the K of C BBQ. Let me know if you are down for the BBQ also. Let me know if you get the new bike. Haven't put much time in on the bike this month. We can go put some miles on and break that new thing in!! plus if I'm lucky, maybe you'll let me take it for a test ride!!
Indian mounds and south park took the brunt of those storms but we had one hell of a mess also. seems like everytime we get cleaned up from the last storm another one hits and we start all over! Its nothing I can't deal with, but I have hardly gotten any runs through the parks this year! that kinda sucks!
Sorry I haven't dropped you a line in awhile. I'll give you a call.

Keith,
I just figured I was being shunned for not having a Buell the past week. lol Yes, I hope to make up for that sometime this weekend. I was thinking about a quick run down 79 on Sunday if I can pick it up this Friday or Saturday. I have to call Dave tomorrow and find out all the details tomorrow. So I am not sure when yet. I'm kinda new to the new bike thing, so I don't know $#it about it. Of course a test ride goes without saying.

Shazam,
Congratulations on the Battle Trax. On the X1 even, Guess it wasn't the bike after all? lol

It's never the bike!!!...Way to go Sam...

Just for your info since this is somewhat in the middle of the state...

Heads Up...A group of Iowa HSTA'ers are riding down from Des Moines this Saturday and we are planning on meeting them either in Keytesville or Boonville MO and then riding on with them to their destination in Hermann for dinner Saturday evening...They are staying overnight in New Florence MO at I-70 and 19...

We will leave Saturday morning from Treloar Mo at the intersection of 94 and N west of 47...Probably at 0900 but stay tuned for changing information...

I'll post the final details here and on SLAB as well as the Yahoo Group MO-SIL HSTA thread...

See Ya!

Subject: Saturday's Ride to meet the Iowanians (is that a word?)

Let's meet at the gas station in Washington where we have met
before...It is the first one south of the bridge on the east side of
Hwy 47...Please be there by 0830 and gas up so that we can leave
promptly at 0900...If we don't want to ride the slab we have some
(s)miles to cover before meeting the Iowa group in Boonville MO at
1300 for lunch...I'll post the proposed route this evening...I'll
leave any extra route sheets at the counter of the gas staion...

See Ya!

Bob

Cool... another rebate from my purchase of the Blast for my fiancee!

I bought a Blast there and tried to by my XB there. I bought the Blast there because it was the best price I could find at any dealership on a used one. I DID NOT buy my XB there because they wanted to rip me on my trade in... and charge me above MSRP on the XB. I bought my XB at Blue Springs and saved about $1500.00 on the deal, over the Gail's price.

HOWEVER... my plan is to go to Gail's and get a full refund of the purchase price of the Blast in free lunches! Between visits so far to include my son and fiancee... I think I am gaining ground. :-)

I call them rebate lunches... and that takes care of lunch for me, my fiancee and her daughter today. COOL!!!

I am so glad Central now does Buell... I just wish they did when I bough the XB... believe me I checked... and was disappointed I had to go to any Worth dealer.

I'm suprised you got past KCBill to gain entry into the Worthless place. It must have been one of the rare times when he had to go to work.
