If I can't find Earth, I won't try. We'll find out at McD's, and I know a good spot to switch. Got a bad feeling that I might get passed by a yellow pig.

Not having ridden the 1125R but knowing of the 6 speed gearbox and high revving motor.I would guess the Duc would be very similar experience. Tall first gear real close ratio 2-6 gears and just down on torque, but loves to rev. I'm sure you will adapt just fine.

...just down on torque

The 1125 BRINGS THE TORQUE like my 9, but it goes all the way to redline.

The 9 craps out about 6500. The 1125 craps out when you run out of BALLS. I did, and I went blind.

In comparison to the S1W the Duc does not have the off idle grunt of the S1W but it more than makes up for in through the revs. The bike has no indicated redline but 10,000 is positioned at 12 o'clock and there is one red light on the dash I've yet to se come on. I think it's a shift light. I also have not come close to 10,000rpms just haven't felt the NEED!!!!

I have a feeling that if you rev the S1 to 10k, you may be cleaning up more than oil.

Seriously, I would like to experience how the Duc behaves, even if only at "low speed".

In turn, I think you will be surprised by the mustard bike.

Oh, you didn't mean 10k on the S1...

Like you said if you can find the ground the pegs are alot closer. I don't think I'll be that surprised by the mustard ride I spent enough time following you and watching it scoot away on route changes to guess that it probally pulls as hard as a stock xb12 maybe a little better. I think you got it dialed in real good!

Riding experience: Raced BMX and Mtn Bikes, rode dirt bikes, rode my Dad's old Yamaha 750 off and on (when he was out of town) in high school (early-mid 90's), and didn't ride after that. Before I bought the Buell, I took the old man's Goldwing Trike (I guess officially it's mine now...) out for a spin in July '07. So, officially, I've been a dedicatd rider for 6 months, but have ridden before. Also, we've been here in VA for about 7 months now, I have to ask: can I get an address for the Busch Gardens McD's?

it's easy...just get on Warwick blvd and head west past Ft. Eustis. About 10 miles later it will be on your right just after you pass the parking lot for Busch Gardens.

If you miss that big o parking lot then just look for the guys with the big grin and the sweet rides! Really... it's that easy.

To all who made the ride today

Carl, Phil is was good meeting you and come out and ride along anytime. ESP you carl with that Buellevard

Tank and Mel It's always god riding together. You 2 youts missed the ride out on RT 5. We turned round at our last rest/ gas stop before Richmond and took rt 10 back. LOTS of bikes on this loop today.

Tank you missed the blond hottie on a well used white gixxer and unfortunately she headed into Richmond, NOT THAT IT WOULD HAVE MATTERED. but still good eye candy.

Mel I would have told you about her but your wife asked me not to point these things out while we're riding sorryJFWY

I know David is still around but has anyone heard from or seen Tran.

And for you Kevin we need to get a Saturday ride so you can come out an play too!

Thanks for coming out to play in my neck of the woods!

I was dead scared that we would all get a ticket for 20+.(or at least me and Mike )

As for the blonde...
if I had rolled out, I might have followed her home and not come back. Tough times, but I keep on keepin on.

Thanks again.

Carl was setting a pace JUST A TAD BIT higher than the 20+ we had going. All safe this time and really not that crazy. he picked safe spots to play in.

I was thinking about riding this weekend now that the bike is back in commission. But, I might be doing a photoshoot with some subaru buddies. I'll let you guys know for sure if I'll be joining you folks before friday.

On another note. There is a Demo Day, pig roast, door prize, etc action going on down at SSHD on the 9th of Feb (thats a Sat folks). The demo will be featured with a... drum roll please... 1125R. So, I've already told the wife I'll be there. It would be awesome to see you guys out there too.

I'll get more specific info about the event once I get the flyer in front of me (I'm posting at work). So, whos interested?

Brett

Buellers Unite!

I mean since the HD Dealership is going all out for us lowly Buell Owners. Maybe we should show up and eat their stuff. Maybe put some miles on their bike, so they know we appreciate them!

Heck, I know with as much as I was charged for a clutch, I practically paid for this "lil shin digg!"

Not going to make it this weekend ya'll.

BUT the 9th sounds do-able as long as the weather is decent. If not, I'll drive the Jeep.

OK guys, the thing on the 9th starts at 1130. And there will be door prize drawings. Thats pretty much all that is on the flyer.

I still think it will be awesome for the local buellers to come and thrash... err, um... gently test ride the new 1125R

Plus, I love a good pig roast.

Brett<< who is still unsure if he'll be riding THIS Saturday.

Hey All

I talked to Duc today at SSHD and he's trying real hard at getting more Buell products in the showroom (accessories , clothing type stuff) and he asked that we make a large showing at this upcoming open house. Bring the bikes the more support we can show him the more he can do for us. Duc is looking out for us let's show him some support.

I met another Bueller at SSHD today also Eric(I think I'm bad with names) from Ahoskie. He rides a blue 97 M2 Cyclone that has been Thunderstormed up. A great looking bike and sounds good too. I told to try and hook up on our rides. He says he normally running around with the HD crowd cause he can't find any Buellers. We'll excuse him for that.
