Did you go out for the last day of the season? I'm assuming since there are no pictures posted from your fancy new camera that if you did go it was a bust.

Nope! Had to work Thursday. But I'm off til tuesday and my back is feeling better.

There is a DS ride shaping up for Sunday. A rider from TVR just bought a brand new 2007 DRZ400. Dude payed $4650 from Star City Powersports!!!! He got 15% off accessories too. They had the caseguards, skidplate, handguards and a turn signal relocator in stock. So Jack, you wanna take your stocker out? NUTS

Nuts
Do you really think the Jack is ready to SPRING out there and get that NEW SHOWROOM condition bike scratched up? The only way your going to get him back on the trail is to give him a loaner and don't let him look at it till your on location.
Looking at the weather, sounds like you guys are going to be ICED IN for a while. I'm having to get my mosquito spray out down here. Even the "gator" was out yesterday, kinda like our "Ground Hog Day"

Nay,
No ride for me. I'm cuurently enjoying a 103 degree fever courtesy of Influenza Type A. I know this because the Dr. shoved a Qtip up my nose yesterday to get a sample. I thought for a second the chick in the lab department was going for a brain sample because she went so deep!

Charlie,
The bike WILL be ridden and gotten dirty. I'll make you eat them words by the middle of Spring. Now I ain't saying I won't come home after each ride and give her a thorough scrubbing and the Plexus treatment .

Lefty loosey, Righty tighty.
Got any extra helicoils laying around? If not go get you some so when you strip out the threads you can fix them immediately and still be ready for your ride on Sunday .
In case ya'll didn't know, Nuts is a habitual over torquer .

I wanna see those fancy handguards. Where they difficult to install?
Everything I've read about getting them to fit says you gotta pretty much twist and bend them into shape in order to fit. Any truth to those rumors?

Lies I tell you! They do need some careful "eyeballing", but nothing someone with an ounce of patience can't handle.

I stripped a countersprocket bolt. I tried to torque it to 45ft/pds. The actual torque value should be 15ft/pds for a steel sprocket. I am NUTS. Found replacements and am heading back into the NUTSCAVE to install.

Hey Charlie, the sun is out and the ice is falling in dramatic fashion. Looks like I'll be riding this weekend.

Nuts,
All that ice melting and ground thawing, gonna make for some fluffy mud. You might loose Scarlet in that stuff and not find her till spring. That is some nasty stuff, gets in all the nooks and crannies. You might have to drop it off at Jackie's house for some detailing, I hear that's all he does anymore.

I want pics of the Queen all muddy too!!

Preferably witnessed by a credible source. But since a credible source might be hard to come by, Nuts will do.

I guess for Nuts, "tight enough" = crank it until it strips, and back off 1/4 turn. (I have this affliction sometimes too, sucks)

p.s. Dood, you're letting all the heat out.

DS ride is ON for Sunday. Minus one Turtlehugger whose Mommy won't let him out due to a recurring sniffle. Scarlet will be dirty, of that rest assured. Wait'll Jack sees the pics. Wheelies and roosts and powerslides...Oh my!

Nice looking handguards my friend! I believe I'm gonna have to copy you on those. What are the items in the little bag sitting beside the handguards?
Make sure you take pictures of the falls instead of just glory pictures. I know your trying to convince Tank and Charlie that you are the next Jeremy McGrath but I know the truth .
Tank and Charlie,
Ya'll have done it now! Each time we go on a fun filled adventure I'm gonna take along a sign that says "See what ya'll are missing". Several photos like that should have you guys begging for mercy .

So you are going to turn your pristine show bike into a billboard??

I don't get it??

I like the hand guards too. Was looking at some like that a couple days ago, and wondering what kind of deal I could find on E-slay.

Let me clarify.
A posterboard sign will be carried at all times during this riding season in my backpack. Once we get to a scenic or interesting place for a photo opportunity then out comes the sign and ample photos taken to rub it in. You two guys will be whimpering like babies when I get done with ya'll .
Just keep in mind you guys brought this cruel and unusual punishment on yourselves.

Were not worried, in order for you to carry a billboard in your back pack, you would have to leave out several Turtle Wax bottles. And we all know that ain't going to happen.

You two are something else. I thought this was a place for us to gather and rag on Nuts but it seems the tide has shifted for the moment. I might be forced to get the bike dirty quicker than anticipated so we can get back to making fun of our usual victim .

Nice broken link there, Charlie.

Ya'll better watch out...

The Thundercats make house calls

BTW, I had one hell of a time finding some tire spoons. Harbor Freight didn't even have any. Had to break down and visit the Evil dealer. Casey Cycle City. I roll up to the desk and tell the dude I need some tire spoons, and he asks "how many". I bought three for $18. Not so bad.

I got the front done today before the sun dropped and the cold swept thru, and the rear is on the list for tomorrow.

p.s. I couldn't leave Harbor freight without buying something. So I got a caster stool with parts tray on the bottom, and Flames on the seat.

Charlie,
That thing has FRIGHTENING destructive potential. Which basically means, I WANT ONE .
Tank,
So is the bike gonna be ready for a ride this Spring? I'd hate to have a repeat of last seasons outting but I guess it would be a good excuse to drag you over to Star City Powersports and introduce you to their finance department. Incidentally they give very fair trade in allowances .

Tank,
I'm not too swift on the computer stuff, so what the H is a broken link? And who the H are the Thundercats? I don't get much company down here so if they will let me know when their coming I'll try and have some refreshments on hand.
Jackie,
I thought that looked right down your alley.Although I don't think the state of VA is going to be safe with something like that in the hands of the Nuts.I think all the squirrels would migrate to WV when Nuts hit the woods with that thing.

Charlie,
Thundercats was a very popular cartoon when me, Nuts and Tank were kids (don't fool yourself Nuts you ain't that much younger than me).
The characters were humanoid big cats that walked upright and could talk. Their names were derived from various big cats (Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthra, etc.).
Lion-O, who was the leader, had this little sword that would grow to magnificent proportions when held up in the air and accompanied with the chant of "THUNDER, THUNDER, THUNDERCATS".
Cheetara was very shapely, scantily clad and quite frankly, sexy to be a cartoon. Nicely muscled, heavy bosom and a plump backside (you could even make out her crack through the outfit ) which was a complete break from normal female cartoon characters.
Anyways, Tank and his band of merry men adopted the logo for their M/C club. From what I have heard Tank lays claim to having in his possession the magical "growing sword" and uses it whenever evil rears its' ugly head (or when he gets toasted and starts putting the moves on ugly chicks ). An ugly rumor going around has it that it also grows sometimes late at night when he is alone in his room or when he wakes up and has to take a pee .
And with that, I'm gone

Hell Jackie, since the big V, everybody has a magical sword as such. Not lasting more than four hours though. Still don't understand the broken link bit.
What about those Giants, didn't think they had a snow balls chance in H3ll. Guess that's why they play the game.I'll bet there are bookies jumping off tall buildings right now.
