Hoover, I pay about 500 a year full coverage, and my driving record sux...

Kdan, They might fit, Would handle better for sure, and the brake upgrade would not be too bad either.

Deadduck, we will see whats up. I have not rode since nov. 17th.

I dont know guys, the Uly just does not do it for me, at all. I have almost no interest in riding it. The bike does a number of things really well, but it will not absolutely shred up the twisty's like a Firebolt with me on it. I dont like the "relaxed riding position". I dont ride to relax my body, but rather my soul and that requires me to be physically engaged to a bike, leaning over it, leaning off of it and learning to go faster. I just cannot find confidence in my riding position on the bike.

I have thought about converting it to a bolt, but that requires money.

I thought about trading it for a bolt, but then I have a loan for more than a bike is worth by a couple grand.

I cant trade it in on a new Bolt cuz then I will have a huge new payment and take it in the rear on trade.

I dont know right now, just waiting it out. I need to put on my leathers and go wear out a set of pucks...

N12R, Up late I see....

I feel your pain, got a firebolt that I don't want to ride because it drops out of gear in 2nd and 3rd. Its not safe! I remember Glitch and I going down Wolf Pen Gap this pass October, nothing like having second gear drop out and causing a faults neutral in the middle of a corner on Wolf Pen or any corner never the less. It was real fun...

Can't trade it in cause I'll loose to much money, can't sell cause it has trans problems. I will continue my rant about my 12R on some other time. lol!!!

Anyway, I feel your pain, I feel a real need for SPEED.... but right now I so many more important problems on my hands.

Would my insurance company cover the bike if it fell off the trailer going down the road? LOL!!!

Yes, but it would have to be an "accident".

I don't know if I want to make that kind of modification to the CB...Kinda got it for what it is. I have the Blast if I want a bike that handles. 'Sides, I've already dumped a bunch of $$ into the front end of the Honda.

Kdan,

If they are the same length, it would be pretty easy tho.

I like the Tally Idea for Jan. I may go even if no one else goes. But I may shoot for Jennings just because it will be warm.

Who needs to pay for tags when I could get a track day instead!

$630/year from State Farm with a clean record. I think I have more coverage than the state requires, though.

Liability: 100k/300k/50k (each person/each accident/property damage)

Comprehensive: $500 deductible
Collision: $500 deductible

Uninsured/Underinsured: 100k/300k/50k, $250 deductible

Charlie, what company are you with, and what coverages do you have?

I pay a lot less than that with Sentry Dairyland with the same coverage...No collision though and a $250 deductible for comprehensive. I think I'm right at or around $1000 a year for 5 bikes. I know the XB is less than $400/year.

Charlie, just come down to the shop. I have 2 bikes that and I will trade you for. One is the Firebolt with B_S tail section and the other is a Lightning Long with a Firebolt tail section. If your bike is paid for, then the money is not an object. If you have a loan for the Uly and I trade you even, the payment will stay the same for a bike you will like to ride instead of a payment for a bike you don't like. Either way it won't cost you anymore money than you are spending now. Call me on my cell I am at home today. 678-595-9013

What gear are you using? Usually the manufacturer's website for the access point will have setup instructions.

Hey ya'll. I have a friend that has an '03 CityX that has 5700 miles on it, is very clean, my pipe and Grater Eliminator, some extra stuff, and pretty new Conti Road Attacks on it. He's asking $4500. I've thought of buying it from him but would get yelled at. I don't need three bikes anywho. I'm taking some pics of it Friday and will post them if anyone is interested. I'm putting it in the classifieds on Friday for him. See ya, Odie.

What gear are you using? What's the manufacturer and model number of your wireless access point?

Do this: Start -> Run -> type in "cmd" (no quotes) and hit enter

It'll pull up a black window. Type in "ipconfig /all" at the prompt, and hit enter. Look for the "gateway" line. There will be a series of numbers, along the lines of 192.168.100.1. Copy and paste those numbers into your web browser. That will pull up the admin interface for your wireless access point. The username and password are probably "admin" and "admin." If you can't get in, you may need to reset the unit to factory defaults. There's usually a small button you can push with a ball point pen tip or something.

Sanchez I was able to do that with my home computer. When I do that with the laptop i get nothing! I can connect the laptop with an ethernet cable to the router but not wirelessly. The laptop is an older toshiba but it does have wifi. The router is a Linksys. My laptop has a different Ip address than the router, do i need to change it?

First you have to tell the laptop which wireless access point to use. The process varies depending on your wireless adapter manufacturer. It will find it by "ESSID", which in your case is probably Linksys. Your laptop or wireless adapter maker probably has software already there to "search for wireless networks", which is where you discover the advertised ESSID.

Once you select that and have that set up and working, thats the same as "plugging in the cable". At that point, the laptop should request an IP address.

Windows makes all this tedious, vague, and randomly evil... but if you flog it long enough the pieces will line up. And once you get it working once it typically sticks pretty well.
