Court thanks again, well maybe it wasn't a snicker.... but it was one of those "haven't heard that name for sometime" type of change in his voice. Now when I get the forks dialed in I won't be happy until I have a Penske rear.  KC MOBBER's Have a safe ride and enjoy the curves. | ||

Short of popping for a Penske, ask Mike K what he can do. Give him "specs" and see what he knows....can't hurt. Court P.S. - drop me a note if/when he is going to do yours. I've a set of S-2 forks that are likely ready and I may send them to him at the same time. P.S.S. - Mike, depending on how theatrical you want to get, save my riding partner (Hayabusa, Bandit 1200, 3 KLR's, 2 Hondas) from serious accident/injury. His heavily (as in Haybusa quick) Bandit 1200 got backed into in a parking place. The outside of the fork tube showed only what appeared to be superficial damage. I was sending a set of KLR tubes to Mike and we stuck Stephen's in for fun. You guessed it...take a board some time and bend it till is snaps. Now bend it back straight. On the back side, there'll be precious little evidence that it's broken all the way through. His top tube was broken clean through with only a near perfect looking surface exposed to world. Mike found it, ordered/got the tube and got in back in no time for about the price of a fancy dinner. I have the highest confidence in him. Court | ||

Keith, Well I guess the S2 is out of commission for a spell. I got backed into tonight. Parts that are toast; Front fender, right isolator mount, fairing, front wheel, right foot peg & mount, rear brake lever, rear master cylinder, exhaust pipe, front brake lever, and body has got some scratches. I will have pictures tomorrow. Now I just need to figure out how to deal with this. Ben | ||

Ben, Is it going to be an insurance claim on someone besides your own??? If so, I'd take it to Daves or Frank!!! and make sure it gets done right. definately wouldn't deal with these jokers in our area! Keith p.s. I'll drop you a line later. | ||

Keith, Thanks, I am going to start calling around today to see who can get me in the quickest. Hopefully I am rolling again by the time you get back from your little pre-honeymoon, or maybe on a nice little XB9S. Grrrr.... Just got off the phone with Heartland, Damn that service manager is such a &#$%^#@ @ssO. Asked him if I could get in there for the estimate. His answer "Well yeah, but were going to do it our way, not the way some insurance co. wants it done." His words. I can't believe that they run a business like that. So I asked him if I could bring it in tomorrow, his answer "I said we would do it, just drop it off, we will get to it when we can. I have to pull 2 guys to get it done, and we are doing it for YOU for NOTHING." Me "Ok, thanks." answer "Yeah, click". Ben | ||

Frank, Couple questions for ya.... ok as I said my bike got crunched. When it went down it got pushed back about 3' in thick pea gravel (which I think saved alot of damage). It was laying on the low part of the exhaust pipe, handle bar, and swing arm. Do you think that my exhaust studs or any cylinder parts could be damaged? The Bronco was pushing on the front wheel, what should I look for in the front. I did ride it home, and it handled fine, but the fairing got pushed to the side abit. Thanks in advance for any help. Ben, Your timing really really sucks!!! LOL Guess what opened today?????? Indian mounds!!! got my personal race track back!!!!!  On the Heartland deal!!! F*** them!!!!  take it somewhere else!!! I'd be afraid that after the bike was there they will give you trouble taking it out of there to go somewhere else! Just my opinion from past experience with them! remember your dealing with the same guy that tried to charge me for something that they were unable perform and untrained! If they can't perform a TPS reset I'd be very afraid to take anything like an accident to them! Keith | ||

Keith, I am just going to get the estimate from them, I am sure that they will get me plenty of money. Then Dave is going to get my money. That is cool about Indian Mounds. I should be ready for that when you get back. Thanks for the offer on the trailer, I got a guy here with a truck, and loading ramp. Daves, Thank you, I plan on getting most of those parts from you, the isolator mounts are on Ebay right now, so I gotta try.
