D_mn Kevin you disappoint again. I thought you and Mel blew out to post compromising photos of the HRH, but NOOOOO after a good mexican lunch and the long way home I find nothing new on the web. However we did spot 2 more lightnings on the way home an XB in Surry and an S1 in Norfolk on Waterside Dr.

To All

It was a great ride a bit cold not too windy and all I have to do is wait for my new personalized tag "VALDEZ" for the S1W

later

Mike

Here is something funny, I have a picture in my DC motorcycle show album with me on a firebolt in the same jacket I was wearing today. The picture was taken almost exactly 3 years ago today. -spooky!

Awesome stuff. Looks like all you got of Mike cleaning up his mess was the aftermath!

You know, I think I saw GreenPeace trying to clean up some seagulls that happened to fly behind you Mike!

Big thanks to Tank for taking the lead so diligently! Definitely some AWESOME roads.

Can't wait to see you guys out there again!

Brett

I'm still cold.

Not a bad ride considering I had no freakin' idea where we were going. I just picked the best looking curves off the GPS.

I want to go back. I know there are more/better roads up there. Maybe we shouldn't mess with the hunters too much, though.

Mike, have fun cleaning up the "slick".(that sucks)

Kev, get that "slick" changed out man. How's it look now??

New Guys,
(Dave & Brett) Always great to meet new Buellers! Anytime ya'll want to roll up this way, let me know!

Thanks for the ride guys, that was my first time out. It is 8:20 and I have been home for about 10 min. That felt good to be out all day, but I will probably feel it tomorrow though. I have been on/off the bike since 6:20 this morning. I might has well tried to go to Chicago, I might be half way there by now. It was good riding with you guys, so I will have to be extra nice to the wife so I can atleast make it out once a month (until the temp gets to about 30 then I have to cut it off). Later

Mel,
Let me know where to send my one pic, I needed more juice on my phone.

Kevin,
Your bike seemed to be running(and idling) pretty darn good today, bro. Did I miss something?? Last week you were crying about "issues"??

Oh, and "Devil 3 Jump Rd" must have changed since it was named.
It was a good road, but I wanted the "3 Jump" part.
(for reference, it was the one where the King and Queen county dump was, if you saw the sign?)

David,
It's Mothers polishing compound. It comes in paste form, in a small white plastic can about 2" high and 4"round, with a GREEN label. Don't get the red stuff.

I was thinking, this stuff might slightly haze the black plastic. After using it to get the scuff marks out, you might have to use something like Novus to get the gloss back.

To All

What do you think of these two options. Possible south of the border run into N.C. or running the tunnel up the shore, Yeah I know the toll is a factor but I think there is a reduced rated if crossed both ways during the same day. Just a thought

Dave or anyone on the Southside

If you think you're going to be able to get out for a ride, I am always willing weather permitting and my next ride will be more ecologically kinder. No need for Green Peace or seagull rescue

Mike

The next ride you guys get together you need to post on . You guys are only about three hours from the eastern contingent. There are guys in NC that want to run up the coast and we have been talking about a ride around Kerr lake. I did not notice how much activity you guys have had here lately. Where do you normally ride?

Most of our rides generate in the Williamsburg area and migrate towards Richmond by the most twisted and usually indirect route. We have also meandered thru southeast Va Beach, Pungo and out to Great Bridge area of Chesapeake. Are there many good roads out towards Elizabeth City or Nags Head? As far as regular rides we are at best semi-regular but usually posted up early enough to get the majority of us out for the ride. Mind you we are very small now but a pretty cohesive bunch of Buellers
Feel free to post up and join in if you're in the area.

Mike

Isn't "twisted and indirect" the best way to go?? I didn't know we were in such a hurry to get Mexican food.

Come Springtime, I might throw the bags on and try a ride/camp/ride type of trip(4-day weekend)

As for the Eastern Shore...
That would be a ride/camp/ride for me as well. I have been up there before, and, other than the sights and historic value, there aint much for curves. It's like a tall straight tree with short straight branches.

But, if you need more life experience, go to Chincoteague(sp) and visit Chatty's lounge. Get hustled by the local pool shark, and let me know how that worked out for ya!

Ride to Nags Head?? I'm in.

WOW, we must be lookin' like "bigtime" if Kristi stopped in to check us out.

Kristi, we just might, and we'll let ya'll know! It would be the first time we actually rode for a destination, though.(Poe's Pub is just an excuse to ride)

There is a great place to eat in Kill Devil Hills - Awful Arthurs. Carlos and I went there for my 40th birthday last year.

As for an excuse to ride....Carlos never needs an excuse, just someone to ride with.

The NC coast is a beautiful place to visit but the roads are straight. There are places further south around Oriental that rival the roads up by Williamsburg. The best thing about a ride to the outer banks is the view.

Where ever you all may end up let us know.

Hey, Any ride south of the border, count me in, as for this camping crap... camping for me is staying at Motel 8 or any other hotel which serves cereal for breakfast.

Homie don't do tents!

But yeah, as for the ride ...well you know.

David, use the PM function on here to send me the pictures you took, I'll add them in on my Webshots page. (everybody get there alright from the link?)

Oh, and for the record...
Is my wife the only one asking when will she meet these guys? She saw the pics and heard the stories and thinks we are having too much fun for us to continue excluding the wives.

well all ya'll know my Sat routine(in by 12:30 as dictated by household 6) so a run waaay down south will probly not go for me until next spring. I need a new tire anyway...plus I pulled off several accessories to polish(luv-u-mean-it-mike).
I may make it to this poker run if I get the tire on in time. I'm always down for a good cause to ride besides me.

P.S. what a great ride Sat! Wow Tank you have some killer roads local man. I'll put my pics up as soon as I figure out this damn Corel program.
