Yes, I can shift and the light goes out. With the cover off I can watch the little spring thing operate so I know the cable and lever are intact.

SSHD had my 5K done and parts on order in less then 4 hours!!! cudo's! too bad it's going to take a week to get the parts from Buell. It's supposed to be a nice weekend. -oh well.

I just got an XB12R and would like to get out to do some riding. I have a wife and 3 kids so I don't have a lot of extra time, but I can make some to go riding on the weekend (afternoons or nights)

welcome Dave! You are amongst peers when you speak of the family! I know what you mean about the time. I don't think there has been a call out for a ride this weekend. And I know that I have to relax for at least one weekend in the last 3 months. So, thats this weekend for me. But, I'm sure we can organize something for next weekend, if it's not too crappy.

PS: Mike seems to be ready to go most every weekend.

AAARRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!

ok... I was just giving SSHD Kudos for their timely service. What's today? Friday? How about I called them yesterday to ask about the status of my bike. Get this.... It's ready! Oh and by the way... that will be $231.00 for the 5K (expected that) and... and here is the kicker... $476.00 to replace your clutch!

WTF??? I was told last Thursday that the clutch would be replaced under warranty. You know what the guy asked me yesterday? Get this... "How can that be warranty?"

Wait... did I miss something? The bike has a two year warranty... unless you actually ride it and something breaks as a result of you actually using it. If that happens, well then your on your own! I'm not even going to get into the ramifications of performing a service on a persons property without the proper notification and subsequent approval for that service from the owner!!!

Ok... let me calm down. I'm getting torqued up again and I haven't even gone down there yet. Hey? can I use the RAN to get bailed out?

Yea, Kevin, I got word on the cable(I thought I posted this already??)

I can do TPS and AFV anyplace/anytime. I just picked up a laptop as well.
The bad news: The software will let the user play with the EEPROM, and change the general fuel maps, but it will not let me change stuff like cold start enrichment, which is what I believe your bike needs. But we can take a look at the map also to see if there are any "funky" spots we can smooth out.

If it's hesitating, another TPS reset may be in order.

Anyone else needing a TPS and/or AFV reset, let me know! Happy to help out.

I got a line on some good riding. HWY 14 towards Richmond around exit 227 on 64. I went and looked yesterday in the car and it looks pretty good.

That would be just the other side of West Point towards no-mans-land. Good roads, but not much else.

Been up there once but I didn't go very far. Been about 150 miles already that day. I've been meaning to make a special trip out that way again to check it out.

There's a road up there not too far called "Devil 3 Jump Rd". Wonder what that's about??? It goes to a place called Dragonville??

righteous bro. I'm in for a Sat morning recon.


I'm thinkin take 30 at exit 227 to 14. Take 14 all the way to Richmond. I know 14 doesn't go all the way so we can meander up to the turnpike and onto mechanicsville over to 5, hit Poes and roll south to Williamsburg. I would guess a 3-4 hour ride.
