All the corporate desk jockeys at work are sooo amazed, get this, that anyone , ven GUYS, ride, much less a chick, , even more so a chick old enough to be their mothers (well, at least biologically)

I told them I am slow and not very good (but I have to admit it would be fun to see their faces when they see
I actually DO RIDE, not just "Play a Power Ranger on TV". ) but if they would come to T.W.O. and they would see it really isn't that much of an anomaly. That there, they would see women old enough to be MY mother.

Sometimes you just have to shake your head at those to afraid to think "outside the box".

as much as i'd love to, i'm gonna wait till i lose the brace. rode in the car yesterday and it was kinda painful. once the brace is off and i have some more mobility, i'm in!! GOTTA get pics when we do.

speaking of which, they are doin' x-rays on monday. might have the brace off by the end of next week!!

All right...
If I can figure out what to do with my dogs I will be able to make it up to the mountains this weekend.
A friend of mines parents live in Morgantown so I am hopefully going to take the family up for a visit.

I am a little concerned about the bike though.
She is running terrible and the last thing I need is for her to cough or stumble in a turn.

Well, dudes and dudettes...
I'm a lovin' this new(er) SV! Talk about smooooth and QUICK! Going from the Blast, that doesn't even have a tac, to this thing that has a digital 'erthing, is like, well, WOW.

Still want ya to get the geriatric SV running though Chuckster. I'm thinking we are going to put it on Ebay and that will be the down payment on the Lightening Low next fall, hopefully in time for Buell-tober-fest II.

Congrats on the new ride, Bambi.

Stealth, I'll have a laptop, but I don't have DirectLink. Maybe it's a bad throttle body or intake manifold gasket? Try spraying some TB cleaner around the base of the TB while the bike's idling and see if the revs jump. If all else fails, maybe you can ride Bambi's Blast. : )

well its official, race dot tires suck in the cold as well as the rain. this morning leaving work i rolled out gently onto the roadway and my back tire broke loose going over the yellow line. the result is a broken shifter and mirror and a little humility. anybody have a shifter for an xb cheap, as well as a left side mirror for an r?

Ecmspy is free to download. Then all you need to do is build a cable.
IRC the cable cost about $30 to make.

Let me know if you need more info, I can point you that way... or just google ecmspy.

I downloaded it, and looked at an example map.. it looks VERY useable and effective... did I mention it was FREE? No need to pay for a key for each ECM.

I hear that the TPS reset is quite easy to do with this as well... which is mainly why I was interested in it.. now I don't have to waste my time going to Rocket Harley for anything any longer!!! [beavis & butthead]They suck, more than anything has ever sucked before.[/beavis & butthead]

Stealth, I will bring a stock ecm to try out, I know it will be LEAN but for a short ride to get and Idea. Your bike will run fine for a few days after sitting for a week, then it runs like shit until it sits for another week...... I know you dont want to hear it but if you got the stock muffler we should give it a shot back to Bone stock and see how she does.

Sanchez, his motor is new!! With new intake gaskets that I put on before MBIV.

They also have a PDA version as well (this is a different download package, separate from the PC version). There is info for that version on the site as well. It also requires a different cable.
I don't have a pda, so I never looked into that version. I believe there is a decent writeup on the cable somewhere on that site, or at least a link to it.

I have not used it yet. In fact, I have not even purchased the parts for the cable yet.
There are some folks on buelletinboard who have though, and they all seem to be having a great time with it.
I think they have a couple of good knowlegable folks creating some maps and whatnot.
I was going to look into getting the Spec Ops tuned map from American Sportbike in the future once I get the cable built.

However, we I do have everything we need to check it out...just no laptop.
If my Mac had an Intel chip it would be a problem.
