Are the 1125R's going to be available for test rides only on the track and only for those who sign up for the track day?

Any idea if spectators will be allowed to watch? Or do you need to pay the full fee to gain access to the track grounds?

Mike,
The 1125R will only be for the Inside Pass Track Day on October 9th and yes, you have to sign up and pay for it. As far as spectators are concerned, I don't believe there is any reason that you can't bring a "significant other" with you but I don't believe that it's just open to anyone. This is a "private" event after all. With regard to my equipment needs that is for another event being held on October 7th & 8th for dealer staff only. For that event we are required to have leathers. The policies that you posted are for PTT's events and the Inside Pass events.
Thanks,
BudC

Thanks for the follow up. If you just happen to get a hold of an 1125R and just happen to get to ride it up to RA, I just happen to both live and work on reasonable routes going between Hal's and RA, and both locations just happen to have bathrooms, and I just happen to be willing to keep the bike running and the tires warm by riding the bike around the block while you make a pit stop.....
oh well, I know, guess I'll have to wait like everyone else who isn't going to the track days.

Hey, Steve!

I saw some of the info and photos of the Ulysses-Low-TT Sport Tourer that you built.

Very nice!

My first question is: Is the new seat height higher, lower or the same as the stock TT seat height?

My second question is: If higher or lower, how much higher or lower is it?

Inquiring wife wants to know!

Best regards,

Hey KARL!

It's LOWER. By at least an inch. It's the same height now as a standard lightning seat height. My wife can easily ride my 'ulybolt' now.

Thanks, Steve!

If the factory will not build the Ulysses Low, then perhaps you should get into the business!

You should have SEEN the attention it was getting by the Buell employees. I got a lot of 'atta' boys that day.

Steve, Outstanding job. What a cool bike, all the way around!

P.S. Were you in Genesee Depot recently? I thought I saw similar on 83.

I MAY have been. My in-laws live in Genesee Depot, right by the 'bend' on 83.

BTW, we have a "Dave" ride coming up in the southern Kettle on September 8th. Meet at Hals at 2:30, kickstands up at 3:00PM. End up at Gus's in East Troy around 5:00-5:30 for the Saturday night car show there. If any of you are interested, you're more than welcome.

Just a short notice heads-up, Hal's has some Buell items in their sidewalk sale including a nice looking X1 tank cover. Probably not enough notice to help anyone out though.

Hey, Steve!

Beautiful bike!

More questions. What do you think the problems would be in installing the Ulysses fly-screen and instrument pod on the front end?

For that matter, as far as seat height goes, would a "TT" fitted with a Ulysses Tail - Seat be lower than a Ulysses that is lowered with the after-market suspension setups?

The Ulysses is just too tall for my wife. The optimum bike will be a Ulysses with a seat height in the range of what you have just created.

I would hope that the suspension travel on such a bike would be no less than the travel on a "TT".

I know that Dave-S, when he was in Appleton, created some lowered Ulysses bikes with quality suspension mods. I do not know what the travel ended up at, or where the seat height ended up at.

Can a Ulysses simply have a "TT" fork and a "TT" rear shock installed on it?

Inquiring wife wants to know!

The easiest way to do it, is to buy a Uly and had ED do the suspension lowering work. OR buy the Uly and the TT suspension. It bolts right in place of the ULy pieces.

Contact BUD about getting a hold of Ed. They do a lot of work with him(He's Buell's Showa engineer). It'd probably be the easiest way to do it. And would be the same height(with the '07 low seat, like I have).

Sooooo.... If the "TT" forks and shock is a simple bolt in, WHY has the factory not yet offered a Ulysses "CG"???

The inseam challenged public has been clamoring for it. It seems silly to have to spend serious dollars, to buy all new factory suspension parts, for a new bike!

Thanks for the info, Steve!

I do not question your info. I am simply pondering out loud (Well, OK, typing on a Forum).

Anywhooooo... Two parts bin bikes seem to be called for here. A Ulysses CG and your splendid TT-Uly-Bolt.

Thanks again!

Sometimes what seems simple from an end user point of view isn't so simple from an inside the corporation point of view.

From a passenger seat: "just turn the damn plane around"

From the cockpit: "holy sheet, sure hope the passengers aren't looking out their windows right now"

Thanks to all who came to our "Dave" ride. And a double thank you for your patience with the technical difficulties. I guess that's what happens when you get 40K+ on a tuber : )

Like I told some of ya'll, we'll be doing one more Brew City ride this year. A Wisconsin Rustic Roads ride... I'll keep ya'll informed.

Thanks again!

Hey Brew city boys & girls,
It was a pleasure meeting you'al and riding with you. We had a great time! Thanks for letting a couple Illinois boys shoot the Wisconsin twisties with you. The shake I had a Gus' was one of the best I've had. I took some pics with coolice's camera. I'll post them as soon as I get hold of his camera.
Thanks again!

Thanks to everyone!

It is much more fun to have someone hop off of their bike and fix your problem than it is to sit there alone on the side of the road and try and figure out what to do. I am no girlie girl, but I am fairly mechanically challenged...

Mike,

No biggie, just the gear shift lever bolt popped off. Where were you this weekend, as Dave probably could have used your vodoo chicken foot to wave over his bike?

Voodoo chicken foot?????
(heading to a mirror to check my back for a voodoo chicken foot....)

Had indirect relative activities this weekend. Where ever you all went it was probably a good time of a ride.
