Would anyone that lives anywhere near Tacoma be interested in a brand new, never mounted, still in the wrapper, Bridgestone BT 020 170/60-17 tire for their Buell? I'd like to get $65 for it, as that would be 2/3 of what I paid.

I bought it for my dearly departed M2 just before it went on to that great twisty road in the sky.

Someone say Cliffhouse? Here's the view from there (had the big hog out that day):
Tacoma tideflat
Redondo Beach is nice, so is 3-Tree point and some quiet roads from Burien into W Seattle. Anybody want to accompany me on a "slow" ride?

Best rides I have are those with no particular destination and a willingness to end up at dead ends where some great views are usually hidden from us common folk.

Ferris, I can't seem to find the SuperSplash thread, but was wondering if your route up from California was firmed up yet.

yes, firm is always good

sorry so slow in reply, Shotgun.

we leave Monterey on Monday morning, and spend the night (basically) in Ft. Bragg, CA.

we spend Tuesday night in Ophir, OR.

we spend Wednesday night in MacKenzie Bridge, OR (that is, if i get off my ass and figure out a couple of logistical details...)

we spend Thursday night in (basically) Portland.

it's been awhile since i was on here, but i think all this info can still be found on the Quick Board on the SuperSPLASH thread.

a first for me yesterday: i was out on the VFR, minding my own business as i hummed up the north fork of the Kern River on an absolutely glorious spring afternoon, when a bored bimbette riding in the back of a pick-up truck pasted me with a water balloon.

much anger ensued, but the cool bath was actually kind of refreshing...

Ferris,

I wonder if she didn't like Honda's? Glad to hear you didn't get hurt!

Jim

PS-I got my first speeding ticket today. 60 MPH in a 40 MPH zone, dinged me $162.00, ouch! So much for having a clean driving record. This is my first ticket since 97 and I was on a Buell that time too! :)

Hello,
I am new to this Board. A member of another Board (Maximum Suzuki) suggested this board. A little history: My husband rides a 01 suzuki bandit 1200 and I ride a 96 bandit 600 (his old bike). We are looking for other sport bike enthusiasts to get together for rides North of Seattle. Hubby used to drive truck and knows lots of good roads.
If the weather holds, he is looking for a group to ride Sunday June 1 in the Everett, Mt vernon or farther north area. Anyone interested? I can't go unfortunately as we have two children and no babysitters.

Hi Girls, thought I better check in while I'm still alive. I recently bought a Gix 1K and have been having way too much fun.

I'm not sure whether the Devil or the Cops are gonna get me first, and I know I shouldn't be but I am.

Damn thing will rip a 4th gear wheelie at speeds faster than the top end of a stock Buell, and then rip your arms off in 5th and 6th.

I can't believe they let someone my age have one!

At the end of each ride I have to pound on the back of my head with a big hammer to get my eyeballs to pop back our where they belong!

Galen, its just going to be boring same old stuff. Live music, fast bikes, and pretty women. Or is that pretty bikes and fast women? I have trouble remembering things.

Come one down! We'll spend the day before the guys get here preparing for their arrival.

Loni, glad to know you're healing well. It seems like it's taking a long time but all's well that ends well I suppose.

Need a new tire for your bike?

Hello---- out there is anyone going to welcome the new chatter? OK I will Hello 911_girl!. I am sorry no one has taken the time to say hello and welcome you, it rocks that you ride we need more girls! My husband (mtrbkmike) Mike and I live south in Portland so won't be able to hook up to ride with you, but there is a pretty big ride coming up in a couple of months and it would be great if you could plan ahead and get the child care thing squared away and make it for that. There will be people from CA, Cananada, WA and OR, we are all a very easy going bunch and love to have new people join.

Would someone post the details about SPLASH and if you can maybe say hello to Miss 911 - someday she may be instrumental in saving your life so be nice. Maybe the riders further north could hook up and ride with 'em?

Ya, I do mean Erik, I hope he'll forgive me, I'll blame the codine for the spelling mistake.
Loni, glad to here the healings done. I might ride a bagger if I make SLPASH this year and ride tail.
Thanks everyone, you all are great friends and I'm honored to ride with such an awsome group.

Hey! I didn't get TWO speeding tickets over the long weekend!

The first time on Saturday morning near Olympia, and again on Monday morning just outside of Yakima. Both times I was going 72mph. First in a 60 and second in a 55 mph zone. Stern warning not to do that sort of foolishness again. Yes sir. Have a good day. Yes Sir. AMF. Zoooom!

Life is good. Traffic Officers are my friends. They're just trying to protect me from certain death or at least serious injury. God bless the traffic cop. I'm so sorry I ever said anything hurtful or negative about the Washington State Patrol. I did notice that both of these boys in blue had mustaches that were neatly trimmed to the edge of there mouth and no further. Very proper, I must say. Real sharp short hair cuts too. Life is very good.

One of you folk has just got to want a cheap tire.

Attention!

We will be moving the site to its own dedicated big bore server as well as implementing some significant BBS enhancements later this morning. The site will be offline starting between 8AM and 9AM. You may be able to continue to view the forum, but not post. If you are still getting the view-only forum by late afternoon, say 5PM, you might want to try refreshing your browser window and even shutting down and restarting your computer. If that doesn't work you might call your ISP, especially if it is a small local operation, and ask them to update their DNS (domain name server) files.

In the mean time I've asked the guys at SacBORG if they would be gracious enough to host a temporary surrogate BadWeB forum on their site. Just be forewarned that there are some very... uh... antagonistic Buell hating trolls there. Hopefully they'll leave well enough alone. If not, feel free to humiliate them with truth and grace. If you don't see a surrogate BadWeB topic there, assume it was not to be. I cannot imagine that since in truth, BadWeB is the Father of SacBORG, our illegitimate son. Kinda like the Darth/Luke scenario in reverse. LOL. Anyway, Chop and Eeeeek are great guys as are most of the others who hang there, so wish our sys-admin luck and I hope to see you back here tomorrow afternoon.
