Mike,
I must say that Poes is not on my favorite list of destinations. I prefer to stay as far from Richmond as possible, but there are good roads between here and there. Poes is not a bad stop coming from the south, but I will not go from poes into the city. Ambulances await.

Having said that, I rather prefer no destination. Mike's ride was perfect. Rode for the ride, had a great lunch, and my ass was sore as a mofo when I got home. Excellent. And no more Parkway!(sorry bout' that)

I somehow managed to skeeze my way off work thurs-Sun. Saturday I have a ride with a co-worker and could use a wingman. We are headed to a dealer on 9-mile road near Richmond, and then we are headed to Petersburg to Burcham's Cycles(I might buy a bike)

Any Takers?

I "hope" to be back by mid-afternoon , but if you want to go, no hard feelings for buggin' out if you gotta' go. We will be at least 1.5hrs from THE Tunnel on the slab. It's a long way from southside. I don't plan on using the slab. My co-worker will be on a "dirtbike". Just tryin to be honest. I've never ridden with the dude, and he's a talker.

I like Poe's just for the variety of bikes there. We always seem to be some sort of outsiders, i guess cause we're new to the Pub scene. That said rides are rides and as long as I have something to ride I'm up for it. Thanks for the props on last weekend's ride we did put some miles on some fun roads and found GOOD food. I'm getting the force pipe welded for the second time and only have half of the new exhaust now, but if the welds look good and survive a friday an possible thursday night shake down with out any further cracking the S1W should be up for saturday. Then again plan b may work also. just give me more of a defined start time and rally point.

Rt 30 is well past Williamsburg, almost New Kent. Next exit past Croaker/Norge.

I have looked at the maps until I can't stand it anymore. There is no good way to go from the place on Nine Mile Rd to the place in Petersburg, without SuperSlabin' down I95, or trekkin back down Rt5 across the bridge to Rt 10 and going through Hopewell. Neither is anywhere near what I call Fun.

I'll spare ya'll the torture. I'm going Solo to Petersburg tomorrow(Fri). Saturday we can haul up to Nine Mile(back roads), and find a good way back for everybody. Likely Rt 10 with excursions led by the GPS. Done it once, and it was pretty good.

I'll try to put up a map to Richmond tomorrow, but headed back will just be "heads-up".

Been looking at a Yammi TW200(dual sport), just for fun. But it appears they are somewhat difficult to come by. I looked at a "new" 06' Suzi DR200, but I think they liked it quite a bit more than I did. No deal.
