Author Message   M2epyonpilot Posted on Saturday, June 23, 2007 - 03:41 am:        I'm interested in going on the run myself, Bomber I really don't have a preference on days but I won't be able to go that first weekend to late 2nd week of August (eg Figure-8 Part II, and Cedar Point, and Ozzfest.) Vacation Time...Cha-Ching! July seems ok but I'll need the decided upon dates to take the time off work. A day to raise motorcycle awareness. www.ridetowork.org Maybe add the day to the calander. Most of us probally ride to work on nice days anyway but its cool to see an organized day. Unfortunately for me I'm off that day but well I'll still ride. Definitely looking forward to 2008 25th anniversary homecoming. Here are the photos I took while at Homecoming. On Sunday, the TT track was no longer a Buell demo location on Sunday and was being used for sanctioned racing. I watched a portion of the TT track races on Sunday. I did not see three riders go down, but was only there for 30 minutes. There were no Buells at the TT track as it was all 250cc and 400cc Supermoto bikes (KTM, Jap bikes, etc). To answer Wrong36's question: Troy was salivating over the Buell 1125R and was working the Buell dealers in the crowd trying to find a dealer who will sell him one of the first 1125R's made available. I'm sure he'll be riding one as soon as he can get his hands on one. I agree with Troy that the 1125R is a highly sexy, very capable bike. I personally will keep my Uly. I would not be able to attack rock strewn ATV trails with John if I traded in my Uly for an 1125R. I spent all of Sunday watching races, taking photos, and demo'ing BMWs (F800ST and R1200GS). I'll post the photos sometime this week. The BMW test rides were fun, and they are great bikes, but I'm sticking with Buell as the BMW's were no better than our Buells. The BMW just didn't say "flog me" like a Buell does. I ended up leaving RoadAmerica at 4pm and I headed out West through the countryside on HWY 67 with Charles (Lightning rider) who was also heading to the SW suburbs. I ended up making it home at 10pm Sunday night. I'm going to ride out the the Harley shop in Elkhart tomorrow and ask them if the Buells from the area can park near the Buell Stunt Team during the Stunt event...We'll see lastcyclone : If you were talking about the 3 guys going down during the Buell Track Demo's, that was Saturday and I was right behind them and watched it happen. I was almost involved myself! wolfridgerider was one of the three, forgot the other guy's name...But the Lead rider (from Buell) went down because his back tire washed out, I think it hit a tar spot...The others had nowhere to go so they laid them down, the 4th rider went through the grass, and I skidded to a stop right in front of a bike... I've already confirmed with Sam, so there will be NO MEETING on Thursday the 12th. We'll have the August meeting as planned.
