Tank - Thank you! That is an extremely generous offer and I may take you up on it in the future. Even though I have been riding continuously for 20 years, I have not owned a sport bike for almost 8 years (last one was an 88 Honda Hawk GT). Riding my brother-in-law's Monster and 749 gave me the bug again and I needed something to keep up with him. I've been riding Harley big twins so I just need to get comfortable on my bike first before I even think about getting on someone else's. Again I really appreciate the offer and hope to meet up with you and the group in the future.

man I had to deal with sick kids. I ended up, later today, taking the family in the suburban up route 5 and by Poe's.

Family first. Amen on that.

We left Poe's headed back down 5. Jumped the rivah' to rt 10, took a sketchy shortcut to 460, and took a left somewhere down the line toward Smithfield. I got gas and "set sail" for the ferry. Melvin and mike headed for the JRB.

Second Sunday. We could likely do it anytime but the second Sunday, and there would be less bike traffic, but I dunno about service. Poe's had a full home cooked breakfast buffet because it happens every month. Expensive, but it was real good food.

Mike, I still can't believe you rode that distance on that seat.

Nice to meet you guys. I tried to catch that BMW guy on Route 5, but I did 95mph for a few miles and still couldn't gain any ground. He was in my sight but I couldn't reel him in. That's beyond my usual riding speeds so I figured I'd better let up. Ah well, felt good to stretch the bike out a little!

Yes, I crossed the bridge and turned right toward home. I saw some bikes at the gas station, but didn't see the Uly.

Later that day, I went to the city and explored a bunch of old neighborhoods and parks and stuff. Nice change of pace. Then I went to the Roller Derby that evening. Great stuff!

Yeah i can't believe it either, but i now have an ostrich leather Corbin Gunfighter on it now. Less padding but a wider pan. It feels better around town, but have had an extended ride yet.

THIS JUST IN!!! Looks like a perfect opportunity to show off some Buells. Mine is still getting the 1000 mile service so I doubt that I'll be able to bring mine, but how cool would it be to have a group of 10 or 15 Buells there?

HAMPTON -- It's Motor Head Night this weekend in downtown Hampton.

Owners of Harleys and sport bikes are invited to show off their rides during downtown Hampton's Summer Street Fest 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday. The event takes place along Queensway.

"This is the first year to have bike night, so we are hoping individuals attending will bring their bikes to show," says Toni Williams, spokeswoman at the Virginia Air and Space Center in downtown Hampton.

I'm really lookin forward to ridin with ya'll. My only dilemma is church on sunday mornings(maybe I can skip out-I'll sweet-talk household-06). I can always meet ya'll somewhere on sunday if all else fails. If it's on saturday I'm good. The majority rules though. Whatever the consensus is I'll get with it someway.

The same rally points work for me, but I'll toss this out. Last time when we got there it was kinda at the end of the run. We saw a lot of bikes heading back east, is anyone up to maybe a half hour earlier start so we might have a chance to check out more of the event?
