Mike, Yup, the kid will wear a helmet,

But making anyone do it as a LAW is WRONG in my opinion. I dont care how many lives it saves, it is not for our govornment to protect us from ourselves.

Oh yeah, and I took a deep breath before I wrote this one.

Just be glad your not getting all the Government your paying for!!!!

The scariest thing you'll ever hear is: "I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help."

N12R, Thanks for taking a deep breath before posting.

I respect your opinion and I know we've had this conversation before. I'm glad that we're still able to 'voice' our opinions without gunfire, but don't push it.

Oh' my....I just remembered I still don't have my guns back from when the "THE MAN" came over to my house. I won't bring that all up again. LOL... Who's the 1%er now..LOL again!

By the way anyone that hasn't raised a child and wants to test their parenting skills can have Nic for a few hours. He'll be 2 in october...and is starting to show signs of pre-terrible twos....

Really he's a sweet pea and we're very lucky to have such a good child and thats so smart and also good looking. Of course he comes from good stock...

Have ya'll seen his tongue....its freaky long!

When the four wheeler sells. The SV proceeds go to finishing my kitchen remodel.

You think you can beat me in a wheelie contest?

I am a little rusty but I bet a cookie I can still go longer!

I wanted to get to that point on the Buell, ya know....one handed but as you know I have lost touch with the bike.

Why not combine the two contests? You can run my M2. The back wheel's just fine.

> Do you think you'll be ready for a track day in late fall or maybe for the New Years Day Jennings track day?

Definitely. If I don't have a track bike by then, I may just follow Chad's lead and get some lighter S/R wheels and throw some Pilot Powers on them.

Btw, I'm planning a road trip for the last week of July/first week of August (6/27 through 8/5). I'm riding out to Oklahoma to meet an old friend who swears he's going to fix up his father's old bike. We're either going to go see the Grand Canyon or maybe shoot up to Colorado and find some mountains. Any of y'all are welcome to join us.

Ga., SC. to crack down on speeders on Interstate 85

ATLANTA (AP) _ Georgia and South Carolina will join forces for a ``two-state speed crackdown'' on the Interstate 85 corridor.
The Governor's Office of Highway Safety says the crackdown will begin at noon June 29th. It's part of Georgia's plans to boost its summerlong traffic enforcement effort with a weekend focusing on I-85 before the July Fourth holiday.

Officials say the emphasis will shift from one location to another as authorities try to blanket the state with safer traffic.

The office says law enforcement officers throughout Georgia and other states hope to reduce the 25-hundred lives lost each year in the Southeast between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Officials are encouraging motorists to obey the speed limit, wear seat belts, buckle up their children and drive sober.

G' I was at the intersection of Old Norcross and Sugarloaf and you buzz'd by. Hard to miss you with that cool Buell bling jacket. 'Wish I had one'

I tried to ketch-up, but the under power'd Dodge just didn't have it in her. LOL...

Then I was at the red light at Steve/R and 85 and you were coming from the other direction so I beeped but you were getting on the ramp. I tried to follow but the Dodge was no match against the G' Master and his trusty sidekick.

I hate the morning traffic on 85 but at least I'm in a steel cage that weighs about 7200lbs

You must have nerves of steel on just really big b_lls. I don't want to know witch. LOL...

N12R, Good luck with the 4-wheeler

An elderly woman walked into the Bank of Can ada one morning with a purse full of money. She wanted to open a savings account and insisted on talking to the president of the Bank because, she said, she had a lot of money.

After many lengthy discussions (after all, the client is always right) an employee took the elderly woman to the president's office.

The president of the Bank asked her how much she wanted to deposit. She placed her purse on his desk and replied, "$165,000". The president was curious and asked her how she had been able to save so much money. The elderly woman replied that she made bets.

The president was surprised and asked, "What kind of bets?"

The elderly woman replied, "Well, I bet you $25,000 that your testicles are square."

The president started to laugh and told the woman that it was impossible to win a bet like that.

The woman never batted an eye. She just looked at the president and said, "Would you like to take my bet?"

"Certainly", replied the president. "I bet you $25,000 that my testicles are not square."

"Done", the elderly woman answered. "But given the amount of money involved, if you don't mind I would like to come back at 10 o' clock tomorrow morning with my lawyer as a witness." "No problem", said the president of the Bank confidently.

That night, the president became very nervous about the bet and spent a long time in front of the mirror examining his testicles, turning them this way and that, checking them over again and again until he was positive that no one could consider his testicles as square and reassuring himself that there was no way he could lose the bet.

The next morning at exactly 10 o'clock the elderly woman arrived at the president's office with her lawyer and acknowledged the $25,000 bet made the day before th at t he president's testicles were square.

The president confirmed that the bet was the same as the one made the day before. Then the elderly woman asked him to drop his pants etc. so that she and her lawyer could see clearly.

The president was happy to oblige.

The elderly woman came closer so she could see better and asked the president if she could touch them. "Of course", said the president. "Given the amount of money involved, you should be 100% sure."

The elderly woman did so with a little smile. Suddenly the president noticed that the lawyer was banging his head against the wall. He asked the elderly woman why he was doing that and she replied,
"Oh, it's probably because I bet him $100,000 that around10 o'clock in the morning I would be holding the balls of the President of the Bank of Canada !"

I'd like to take a quick moment to critique the new Transformers toys. Ok, maybe a really long moment. The Transformers have gone through several phases:

Generation 1: The best generation. The characters had great names, they transformed into realistic vehicles, and they were simple to operate. During the latter half of the first generation, we got a great movie where people died, and one character said the word "damn." That was a heroic step forward for a 10-year-old viewer who'd gotten really tired of seeing all the shooting in GI Joe with no one ever getting hit and even tank drivers managing to jump out of the cockpit before their rides blew up.

Beast Wars: The Unimaginative Years. What the hell happened to creativity? Gone were the great names. In the old days, you got cool handles like "Prowl," "Ironhide," "Sideswipe," "Mirage," and all the others. During the long dry spell of Beast Wars, they must've let the CEO's water head son name the robots. The guy who transformed into a cheetah got named "Cheetor." Someone thought "Tankor" would be clever name for the dude who turned into a tank. I guess it was OK that the ape's name was "Optimus Primal," but let's face it, they were just copying a Gen 1 name. Could they get any less original?

Everything between Beast Wars and 2007: the I Didn't Care So I Didn't Really Keep Up With Them years. The Transformers got back on track with their names (mostly resurrecting old ones), but went way out into left field on the robots. I guess they thought kids wanted something really whiz bang, so they got really colorful and had lots of pointy crap sticking out everywhere. They were futuristic, but they looked nothing like real vehicles.

This was also the birth of the legal disclaimer in the television ads: "Actual transformation time will vary." More on this later.

2007: Gen 1, GM style. We're getting closer. All the old names are back. The robots look completely different than they did in Gen 1, and many of them transform into different vehicles than before due to corporate sponsorship whoring. Bumblebee, for instance, is a Camaro instead of a VW. At least they look like real cars, though, and not something an epileptic playdough addict crapped out after a five can bender. Now we're left with one problem: it takes a freaking PHD to transform them. I literally spent 20 minutes sitting down with Starscream and the instructions trying to figure out the diagrams. How the hell do they expect kids to play with these things? I don't have the patience for it, and I'm pretty sure my attention span is a great deal longer than your average 7-year-old's.

Now I understand why they're afraid of being sued. Some kid's going to spend two minutes trying to turn Optimus Prime into a robot then freak out in frustration, break the legs off, and shove them in his ears.

They're on the right track, and they're better than they've been in years, but nothing will ever be as cool as the first ones.
