I was ridding with a friend, we came flying around a corner and a garbage truck pulled out in front of us. i was in the lead, barely got it stopped in time. My friend wasnt so lucky, he high sided into a yard. Fortunately he was fine and only cosmetic damage to his bike. Too much drama   Jolfvr666 Posted on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 - 10:40 am:        man, i had a close one last night. i was pulling into the CVS on roswell rd and this lady in an acura TL comes flying through the parking lot out of no where and doesnt see me until the last second and stops dead right in front of me, running a stop sign. i tried to swerve out of the way but i had all my weight and bike over on the right side still, and trying to get left, well that was alittle harder than it sounded at the time, so i had to lay her down someone called the cops and they LET THE LADY GO without a ticket or anything, the cop said "what can i site her with? almost causing an accendt?" im ok, my back hurts alittle from picking betty back up, but she wasnt so lucky, handle bars are tweeked, foot peg broke and the clutch lever is bent. it just shows to go ya that old women shouldnt be driving and that cops dont really care, atlest im ok and still in one piece. i told that lady that she could have killed me and that she really needs to A. OBEY TRAFFIC LAWS AND SIGNS and B. watch out for bikes, cause the next time she could have a manslaughter charge on her ass. baaaa! anyway, i picked up some parts from smhd last night just need to pop them on and i'll be ridin again. i may need some help with the bars, im thinkin im goin to order clip ons, anyone know a place i can get them for a decent price? i looked at the ones that smhd could order and the cheapest ones were 175, little more than i wanted to spend. if anyone has a set for sale i'll buy them. or has a set of lightning bars for cheap, i'll pick those up from ya. i may need some help with the install, im just not real sure about how the throttle comes off and what not. /chris/ (Message edited by jolfvr666 on April 18, 2007)   Bambi Posted on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 - 10:46 am:        Chi-Stud, glad you're OK. Don't ever fly US Airways. That's all I've got to say about that. No one will pass a cop car on the highway. Ever. I have pretty much proven that. I have a few things to do to the car before the kid gets it, but besides normal Maintenance stuff(Brakes & Belts) it's ready to rock and roll. As for the Dodge bashing...I've had so many cars in my lifetime that I can say disparaging things about every make or model that there is. But I can also find something good to say about them too. I feel your pain Chuck. Been there, done that, came close to blows. Lemme know if you need backup. That's cop talk...Omigod...It's started. Y'all be careful out there. Chihuahua stud - Use a lubricant to get that seat out.
