But I'm cool with it, because look at the group of people who will be teaching them how to ride. Kdan has a daughter who wants to ride and I believe her mother's attitude is the type, "Not until you are 18. Then you can do what you want" (which is odd to me. Is there some magic switch that gets flipped on the 18th Birthday that fills teenagers with experience and wisdom??? If so, Damn I missed it!)I keep telling him (along with a guy here at work who's son is the same way) wouldn't you rather teach them about gear and safety and CAUTION, over COOL NOW, while you still have a little bit of control and influence over them than when the do turn 18 and get out there and have some know-it-all, I'm immortal, I'm the best, T-shirt, Flip-Flop wearing Squid say, "Hey, I'll teach ya, nothing to it!" do it behind your back later? Especially if your child is the type that is going to do it anyway? And so far, She appears to be her father's daughter so I'm thinking it's inevitable. YEE HAA... looking forward to MBIV... and was talking to a guy in the doctors office yesterday who said something about rolling road blocks this summer on 60, 180, 129, richard russell... the main rocket roads... He heard it somewhere but not sure where... maybe its already be discussed but thought I would inform yall if not... Ms Glitch... great approach... Glitch is a lucky guy... My X girlfriend hated me riding... and you are correct about the power struggle... first the motorcycle... then the computer time... then garage time... then the money... yea it keeps going... my new girlfriend loves to ride, her dad was a biker, and she understands the dangers... but most of all she understands the rewards... she begs me to go riding... I went down about a little over a year ago, an broke my femur, fibula,an ankle. It sucked yes, but i was told by some wise bikers in this group. " There are two types of riders those who have been down an those who are going to go down at sometime." Not saying it will happen,but just like you have heard already you will go when it is your time. I am always worried when charlie or any of my 3%r's head out to ride. I can't really remember how many times charlie has crashed, but he definetly learns from his mistakes, well I pray he does!!( you reading this dear!) love u my crazy hooligan! If riding is something you truly have passion for than go for it! We only live once anyway. This group of guys are the greatest an out of an bikers i've ever known i'd say by far they are great,an very safety conscious. I remember people telling my I had balls to ride with new12r! I would have taken my truck but I had to fight 5 oclock traffic on tuesday so I figured the fastest way through traffic is on a Buell... I was happy to see it was still there and also that no one hit it... Details of my move: Dallas Texas Bound first week in april... gotta stay for MBIV No Job, just unemployment... but ask me at the barn about what I will be doing... Living with Mommy and Step-daddy for a while maybe finding some time this summer to devote to my website and open track days... Glad to be heading home... but I will miss the 3%ers... what a group of riders... never met anyone like them... I will always be a 3%er at Heart... infact, if I end up with a trailer I will be having a HUGE 3%er logo on the back ramp... Time for everyone to Uly up. The Flying Nugget is nearing completion with the addition of new handlebars tonight. Also If anyone is interested my friend is selling ladies Icon leather jacket never used along with a lady's scorpion helmet also new never used. He bought it for his girl just before he found out she was a hore that had blown half of Kennesaw while they where together. If interested let me know and I will post some pics.
