My ride to Oklahoma City was very,very wet to say the least.The really only thing wet on me was hands and feet ,the rest of my body was under a rainsuit.I would say out of a 360 mile ride 40 of it wasn't in the rain but I still made good time as with rain there were no cops out with radar so I was able to cruise along at 75-85 almost the whole way.The ride back was a lot different was sunny and warm and the long arm of the law was shooting radar and laser like crazy.Rich and I still cruised at around 75 most of the time.My sportie used an unmeasurable amount of oil leaked -0- amount anywhere BUT my new Force exhaust pipe broke,I noticed the last 50 miles or so it seemed down on power and had a funny huffing sound little did I know that is because the pipe was broken partially off at the collector where the two pipes go into it.I guess about 5 miles from home the thing quit huffing I imagine thats when it broke all the way through.Hell the exhaust broke in less than a month and my drag pipes have not broken in 4 years of use makes me wonder if the Force exhaust are 600$$ worth of junk.....I personally expect the Force pipe to last for years as long as the bike doesn't go down and mangle it....I still have my old 650 yamaha twin with a two into one I put on it 20 years ago and it still in good shape thousands of miles later...... | ||

Well,changed my oil tonight,had the bike running to get it warm and noticed a different noise.Found out what it was,my New Force Exhaust has a broke front mount!I guess the trip to Oklahoma was to much for the Force exhaust to take!Maybe they will work on the track or strip,but may not hold up on a decent road ride! | ||

Greetings... I met Sam, KC Bill and a couple others from this group last week at KCIR and at the kawasaki demo ride... I am Dennis... with a mostly yellow XB9S. I was thinking about meeting the MOB at the Thursday thing at O'Quigley's... to say a quick hello... since those I met invited me to meet the MOB. I work unpredictable hours and it seems almost impossible to plan on week night outings... I mostly ride alone... always have... started riding in the late 60s... pushing 50 REAL hard... and it is sometimes a turn off that I am a Deputy US Marshal. But that is just my job... not my whole life... almost 28 years in law enforcement, 8 years as a Indep, MO cop... NONE as a traffic officer LOL. Anyway... was wondering where you all would collect in Patty Os to try and find the MOB... and if my job is a problem... I understand... not everyone like cop types... and I respect that... anyway, did not want to show up if I would not be welcome or fit in... no biggie... anyway greetings. | ||

Dennis ... welcome aboard the BADWEB, you should fit in just fine!! You'll have to tell your co-workers you are thinking about joining the KC MOB!! Hee Hee We have a very diverse group to ride with, some have no opinion and the others have nothing but opinion. We seem to always have a great time together, please make it out Thursday night. I think in the past they have been meeting between 6:30-7pm, usually eat, bullshit & ride a little. | ||

Glad to meet you Dennis  We don't care what you do for a living as long as you come out and play every once in a while  We'll be glad to have ya! We decided to leave sunday morning 8ish' (depending on  the night before) so we can try to get there at about the same time as Hippie Dave and his motley crue Whooooooooo's comin with us? Anyone feel like driving the soccer mom van up there? I'll prolly ride to free up a rail on the trailer.... Side job is almost complete, so count me in for thursday (I'll prolly make a fashionably late appearance so I can "miss" all the bikes and the jackasses...) | ||

Talked to Force today,seems they have redone,the redone front mount on their exhaust.Told her mine broke and she said she would sent me the new one right away  Am planning on trying to be at Patt'os in Lees Summit around 6 or so to get a table for us,see WHOEVER there! | ||

I can understand the harleys, hell maybe even an italian bike, but a jap bike??  just kidding. Me neither... It must have been my twin brother who touched 120 (riding two up with hard bags and windshield... passing a big rig) the first weekend I had my BMW R1100R. Oops... it was something like this... "Whoa honey... I got this really going fast sensation and looked down to see 115 on the speedo." "Sweety... you let off before you looked at the speedo... you touched 120... do it again... do it again!!!" allegedy...said!!! |
