Yeah, bring the O2 socket, please. I'm not sure if I have one or not. I'm pretty sure we won't need a torque wrench tonight. The likely hood of putting anything back together is pretty slim. : )

As bad as I hate to admit it, Kdan is right. I have night blindness so riding in the dark is not a good thing even when it's warm.

I hope you are though. I want to lust after your Cherry Bomb!

Thanks everyone for stopping by tonight. Everybody really came together, and we had 15 people hanging out in my garage wrenching, drinking beer, and just shooting the shit. Will, you need to break your bike more often so we can get together to work on it.

Here are some pics:

Will's drain plug with only 61 miles since it was last cleaned:

The metal shavings we wiped off the plug:

Glitch and Mrs. Glitch show off their tattoos:

Will, put your shirt back on!

Duc_htr badtouches Will's bike:

Will molests his own bike:

Q: How many 3%ers does it take to lift the frame off an XB9?
A: 7

Bobby's hot new chopper:

The rod bearings are fused:

Uh oh, Will, you left the key in the ignition!

We had a good time last night.
I'm so glad what turned out to be wrong wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I was thinking it had eaten a valve or something.
I'm with y'all, lets get together again real soon, lets no wait until the rebuild ok?
One other thing about last night, did y'all notice that even with all us that wanted to help, there wasn't the case of "too many cooks in the kitchen"? We really do work well together.
A true sign of real friendship.

3%ers ROCK!

We had a blast last night.

No, Honey...It's a Lightning. And it looks like only Duc_htr "had" it.

I had a great time last night. Sorry about the bike Sunshiny, but if my memory serves, an assembled crank is around $525. For the assembly, I'll bring Cheetos. The magic orange finger coating lubricates as well as protects.

So the new quest will be to "Find Young Will a new 1203"!!

Wish I could have made it over....Good thing I didn't.

Nic and I are both sick. I wouldn't want anyone to have the funk we have.

Worked on the Duc yesterday....I'd rather turn wrenches on the Buell any day of the week. Couldn't afford the AK's for the forks right now so I went with springs and fluid and new seals. The stock forks suck azz..

First of all.....Thanks guys/gals for the support. Ya'll are true friends.

I have decided what I'm gonna do. The bike will be for sale. Before ya'll
freak...let me explain:

The bike is the last thing on my priority list at this time.(Baby, Car,
house....etc). I just can't justify spend "any" amount of money to fix her. I
will take care of my family first an foremost. Also, I would be lying if I said
that I'm not a little bit upset that the fact that the bike is only 3 years old
w/15K on it and this happens. It's not like I abused (we'll maybe a little) it
or didn't take care of it. All service was done and oil changes at 2500 miles.
I just have a little bad taste in my mouth. In the back of my mind I wonder if
I did fix it then what would break next? If anything.

Bottom Line is: I have got to keep my priorities in check and take care of my
family first.

Black_sunshine might be down for the count but don't count me out. My love of
motorcycles is fire that burns in me that will never go out. There WILL be
another bike...preferably another Buell but just not right now. Don't kick me out of the club 'cause I don't have a Buell or bike for that matter. I still can live vicariously through you until a get another.

Here is my offer for 3%ers first:

$3000.00 to buy the bike in its current state (track, donor or personal bike to
fix)

If not takers then I will part it out here on the BadWeb….3%ers get first dibs
on coveted parts.

Who knows…maybe I’ll be kicking your asses in the hills on a motard after things
get settled down.

Side note: Please keep Chrissy and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Her Grandmother passed away last night from a long battle with cancer. We will be heading up north in the snow. Thanks.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Don't hesitate to call on Ann or myself for anything.

As far as the bike goes...
Have you thought of getting in touch with Court?
There's lots of documentation of how well you took care of your bike.
Could come under the heading of one of Buell's warranty after the fact, seeing as how the bike was well taken care of and relatively young age.
I thinks it's worth a shot, the very worst thing that could happen is having to hear the word "no"

B_S...you're not fooling me. You're just selling it 'cause you saw how dirty it was once you got it apart and can't bring yourself to sit on it again. (Just kidding!)

Seriously, though, not one of your friends would ever fault you for taking care of your family priorities first. You'll always be on our invite list for anything going on. After all, we don't just love you for your bike! And I bet you anyone would be more than happy to let you ride biotch anytime you want. Right JackMaster?

My heart goes out to Chrissy. I've lost both of my grandparents...my grandmother, very suddenly from a stroke, my grandfather from Alzheimer's and related problems. I haven't decided which is worse...a sudden loss, or watching the slow, steady progression toward the end. If there is truly a heaven, I like to think that you get to do the things that brought you the most joy here on earth for ever and ever. So, whenever I start missing them, I just imagine a house full of babies and animals that need tending to and a garage full of endless things that need tinkering on. It helps with the hurt and makes me smile.

Ok, that was pretty heavy, so I'll stop now. You guys be careful & safe trudging through the snow. We'll be thinking 'bout y'all.
