It's funny to see the last newsletter was back in 2005. Which mean there are no bylaw and pretty know structure. It just a owners group we will still meet same time and same space.We don't even have the hog group structure. So all in all we just well be getting together and meet for fun and shoot the sh@#T. We still have the dealer support which is nice we are true step children harley guess. Not sure were to go from here any suggestion would be great. My self I will still attend the meeting, but it will be a open forum meeting. Think of thing you would like to do next season.I do recommend people take time to attend the hog groups meetings. I will be match shooting lot this coming season on Marine Corp league pistol and rifle team. First thing is first, if i wanted to join HOG, i would have a long time ago. Nothing against them, i even own an HD, however its not what i am into, so if this is the direction the club is going than we either need a new president, or maybe I should consider leaving all together. I would like to hear what some of the other members think. If they would like to hold elections, get new bylaws together, and maybe even consider doing some other things Again i would like a little more input before i make any decisions WRT what I would like to do, or even how to go about doing it but i am no HOG member, nor will i be but thats me R   Max Posted on Saturday, December 23, 2006 - 10:52 am:        Roger that well spoke,but your point is little off. Direction of the club had a direction to ride and have fun. Which is basic the what the hog and any motorcycle group. The suggest to attend Hog meeting was invite from the hog president,When I attend the christmas. I have ask number time to the memebers for suggestion. I believe you were at one those meetings. Roger I would step back ask yourself how much time have you donated to the chapter. Have I given my input to make it a better chapter. You ask for new president I would step down to give anyone a chance to see if they may have better direction then me. I will not be unhappy if that happens. I would still come to meetings. My cost gone up so the bike is not option right now for me. I may have the bike after the first of the year. Right now there is no bylaw in place that says we have do thinks this way. If you have some kind of new way or suggestion attend meetings for change. I live same distance away I'm there. I come from work in Vernon hills,but make there for meeting. Roger you have not even been to not even handful of meeting. I didn't not asking anyone join Hog. I was ask why we hadn't stop in to there meetings. At the christmas party I beleive I wanted attend one know one want to go. So Roger with that thread you put up I will see you at jan meeting right? Lets see, i have been a member since 2000 or early 2001, i think, i set up rides to deals gap, New Foundland, Kettle Moraine, Slimy Crud Run and numerous other events including the Peoria TT, and the springfield mile(with the Help of Bomber who deserves most of the credit) 1 3rd of the pictures on the web site in the photo section are from me. I served as secretary for 2 years, where i orginized and put together the secratary envelope and CD that has everyones name email and adress, i belive its still being used 3 years later And when the highland house was around i was a fixture there most weekends Now lets get one thing straight, i never expected nor felt i deserved any kind of pat on the back for my contribution. However i also dont feel i deserve to be questioned about my time or how much of it i have put in, especially by someone who hasnt even been a member of the club for more than a few years So since its my turn i would like to hear a year in review from our president and what was done, what rides were planned, and what is planned for next year. I think its only fair since i posted up what i have done. I would also like to know since i havent been to very many meetings this leads me to Roger you have not even been to not even handful of meeting. Another low blow, but its what i expect I had a child this year, i moved away from chicago to suburbia, i gut rehabed a house, i sold a condo on the northside,plus the normal job/doctor/repair work on the cars/house/body SOOOooooo meetings have been on the back burner, it wasnt a priority this year for what should be obvious reasons, but if you like i can explain it again. Don't start something not finish all ask of you Roger. How about " i will not start something i can not finish " and i never do nor will i ever but lets start with: I would like to hear what some of the other members think. Because in reality i think its best that the membership decide, not an individual So Roger with that thread you put up I will see you at jan meeting right? No, i will be on a plane to visit my sister, it will be the first time she has seen my new child, and thats a lot more important than any meeting So it will have to wait until febuary unless you decide to move the meeting back to the 11th. If the meeting is moved than i would be happy to show up(as long as its not snowing) Please consider the club belongs to no one, it belongs to each and everyone, and everyone should be allowed to decide the direction of the club, and what they want. So boys lets hear your side, now is not the time to shut up R   Bomber Posted on Saturday, December 23, 2006 - 02:38 pm:        wow -- merry christmas guys -- me, I'm also not particularly interested in joining HOG, but bear no ill will to those that do -- my view is that I'd like to ride and hang out with like-minded riders, with the emphasis on riding . . . I'm going to be in NJ picking up a motorcycle I bought on Ebay. Moving the meeting to Thurs Jan 11 works for me. I talked to Sam and the dealership is good with it too, I just need to let him know either way as soon as we make it official. Opinions? (Message edited by johnnyvince on December 23, 2006)
