Hey everybody!! Im doing well, no broken bones just hurt my knee and bruised my lower back. Im on crutches an in a knee brace for now but I dont think for very long. I dont know about my bike. I didnt see it, but the techs say it may be totaled. A woman ran a red light at Lilburn Stone Mountain and Rockbridge. We had just been stopped at that red light and were just starting through the intersection. I hadnt even shifted to second so we were only going about 5-10 mph. She was doing about 45. The woman that hit me had taken out a mailbox about 1/4 mile before she hit me. After she hit me she leaned over me while I was lying in the street and told me I should just get up. She was drunk as hell. Blew a 2.1 and had an open container and plenty of emptys in her Mustang. Even the firefighters said they had been on another call earlier and had a road blocked and she ran thru that! They said they had to jump out of the street to get out of her way. She was arrested. Anyway, I had a nice ambulance ride and lots of xrays and then they told me I should be ok in a week or two. This happened at 7:15pm and we were home by 11:30 . Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! viki6

Wow, Vicki...Like, just....Wow...We are glad to know you're ok. KDan said to call his lawyer, the guy is a snake, which is exactly what you want in a lawyer. I'm sure you already know one, but if not, he highly recommends him.

Hi folks. Thought I'd chime in about the BMW HP2 shown above. It's not really a motard, but a big bore desert racer with the street wheels installed. I've got one and it's an awesome bike. I usually keep the 21"/17" dual sport wheels on it because I just can't resist any opportunity to go off road anymore. It came with the second wheel set which are 17"'s. It rocks on and off road. Dry weight is 388lbs. 10.5" of suspension travel. It's a handmade concept bike that they decided to produce in limited quanities and race. There are not too many race/dirt bikes with a full 3 year warranty and road/trailside assist. I hope I never need it. I was lucky to pick up mine for a big discount. I have discovered that this thing really attracts blue lights. I hope to see you at March Badness. Mike.

$20k for a dirt bike...Not happening to me. I like the concept though. But for my beater, I'm probably more in the $5-$6k neighborhood. DRZ400-SM. One day.

Kdan, granted it's over the top, but it is also very competent on the road. Comfortable, fast, and handles very well. I will be throwing the street wheels on for track days. It's proved itself to versitle enough to be my only bike now. The specs. posted above have some errors.

BTW, I don't think I've met Vicki, but Thanks God your're o.k.!!! That must have been really close. Hope you are back riding soon.

Glad to hear you are doing good.
It sounds like you guys are lucky she even stopped.
She actually came over and told you to get up?? Sounds like she should have been dragged off into the woods over there and beaten, she probably would not have remembered it anyway.

Just make your trip to work your joyride! I leave a little bit earlier on nice days to take TJ around to the shop. Plus it keeps my battery charged and oil moving around. It doesn't save on tires though! I'm sporting a new to me set of Pilot Race and let me tell you they are some sticky SOB's. For $150 a set they are Phenomenal!

Also for those interested we have the new Diablo T's in stock front and rear. $240.10 a set. And yes I know that's not installed! But I figured you guys would just go to cyclegear anyway. Phone lines are open for anything ya'll need. Hell, just call me to say hey and make my day go by!

Pilot Race Dot's? Sweet.... Just remember those aren't normal street tires. They take longer to warm up, so be careful the first couple of miles.

Shred, I'm all too familiar with the warm up now. They are great for rolling burnouts though! They get sticky after about 10 min of pretty high speed warm up. They seem to be the soft compound too. After I get done riding I can almost leave a thumb print on them they are sop sticky! I wouldn't ever pay retail for em though, too expensive for my blood. I figured for the price I'd try a set. Seem to be an excellent track day or mountain run set. I'm waiting to try the Pirelli's next.

Why? What are you doing to do about it?

I'd like to see a Black XB12R and Blue XB 12R with riders that have heated gear on sunday in the mountains.

Are you in? The Blue beast needs a rear tire....I might have to ride local back roads if I don't do a tire change.
