Hey guys...I would like to ask your help in the choice of a route from Spokane to Kettle Falls...Six of us will be over-nighting the evening of June 19 in Spokane...We want to pick up WA 20 in Kettle Falls and take it west to WA 9 and then north into BC...My specific question is to which road, US 395 or WA 25, would be the better ride?...If 25 to connect to it I was looking at WA 291, then N on WA 231 and then W on Ford Wellpinit, McCoy Lake, W End and Midget Lake roads...Or should I just stay N on WA 231 and take the Springdale-Hunters road over to WA 25?...I noticed that the first route in thru the reservation and wondered if that is a problem or not?...

Thanks,

Bob

I'm in Ravensdale.

If your interested in getting together and riding, I've had better luck looking here:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f= 48

Look for me there. (Debueller)

The inmates at advrider seem to be more focused on riding. However, BadWeB is THE place for Buell tech info and great sources for parts and accessories. (see big bad & dirty and the sponsors topic).

I am in the Renton area. Pretty close to Kent. I'd like to connect with more local Buellers as well.

I'm in Tacoma. Kent is not far to meet Buell riders.

I'd like to find some good routes to ride in the area in preparation for my dad coming up from California later this month.
He's got an old Sportster (pre rubber mounts) and I'm going to spoil him by renting a newer bike for him to ride.

Hi Heysoos, Manofdesign, and Chameleon,

I recently picked up an 1125R and just wanted to say "hey". If you guys decide to get together at all, give me a shout and we'll find an excuse to take the long way to lunch. : ) Keep it sane my fellow Buellers.....

Hi to you too Mizilus & Debueller,

I guess I missed you two on the first go.... Sorry about that.

Signed, apparently alone down here near Olympia! : )

Wow, been a while since I posted in this thread.

When I get my 1125R back from the shop (if it's repaired), I'd be interested in riding together.

I now know many good routes.

Hey Chameleon,

Sounds good. I'd like to get together whenever the schedule works out for both of us. I'm pretty sane on mine, so if you're looking for thrills and SPILLS, I'm probably NOT the one to tell your kids about...... I don't ride like my hair is on fire, that's for sure.

I think most people assume that if you buy a bike like ours, it's because you only know one speed- FULL THROTTLE!

I like to avoid what just happened to our fellow Bueller (1125R) out in Wisconsin last week! Boy, did that one sure turn out ugly. : ( I still don't know what happened to the female passenger in that accident, but it couldn't have turned out well!!! The cops thought: "speed might have been involved". Ya think???????????

Stay safe out there.

Tracy

I'm not looking for any more SPILLS... I've had enough.

Too bad about the fatality, but stupid hurts.

Hey Chameleon,

Ya know, I read a bunch of posts on that 1125R accident, and it sure seems that the gang was pretty tough on our now dearly deceased!

Yeah, it's likely he was going too fast, and yeah, alcohol MAY have played a part, and a dose of bad judgement likely played in there too. So what's my point?

Haven't we all done some pretty stupid things in our lives at some point or another? I'm sure grateful that I got away with it a time or two....... (if you know what I mean?) Some of us just get more chances than others to make it right before we end up in the same place he did.

Stay safe and let's hook up. We need to get Heysoos,Debueller, and Manofdesign to join up too. If you guys are out there, what do ya say??????

Hey Jotrevza...
Ya, I'm here! Just kind of laying low lately...My days off are kind of screwing right now. I have Tue/Wed off, so I'm not sure when I would be able to hook up. Sucks- I know!

I'll keep you guys posted when they get changed again...

Splatsc300 & Sparropie are also locals who ride Buells.

Matt (Splatsc300) has a beautiful blue XB9R.
Galen (Sparropie) has a unique black S3+.

Yeah, lots of rain. I rode in it last night.

I have decided that I don't care for the Michelin Pilot Road 2s on my bike... They simply do not provide the confidence-inspiring traction that the Metzeler Z6s did.

Will do Paul.
I have to call them today.
Got to thinking I better make sure my ECM has latest software, and whatever updates are needed. Need to get the service manual too.

What dealer service dept in Puget Sound area does everyone like?
Are there any independent service shops anyone uses?

I've been taking my bike to Faron @ GixxerTek.com lately. He's really close to my house (2 miles), does very good work, and is CHEAP!
