No big deal, LOL

I am just glad to hear that all went well and no major problems other then Sam tearing up his bike, but that is par for the course.

That was the biggest organized ride I have ever seen. Bikes as far as you can see in either direction. It seemed like there was no end; just a continuous line from start to finish.

I could not go this year, hated to miss it, but needed to stay home for family stuff. I hope it all was safe and no riders went down or anything.
Sam's exhaust trying to make an escape is understandable.

Dude, you and Beverly are welcome anytime! I hope we didn't make too bad an impression.

Matt, you missed a good one! hell, even Mr. Cobb prairie dogged it.

Rusty, I had an eye out for you. I hope what kept you away wasn't serious.

Teufel,

Next time hook up with us here before the ride. Don't be shy about hanging out with us afterwards either. If you had stuck around after the ride y'all would have heard how a person's fists can be far more threatening to an airliner than nail clippers.
Seriously, it was great having you guys along. Looking forward to the next one.

Sam,

I am adding a small roll of safety wire, some speed tape, and a pair of binoculars to my SRK.

Inspector Gadget....are the binoculars for seeing into the depths of the balloon knot?

I couldn't tell if those shorts were really tight or if she caught a FIST to the dirty balloon knot...

Link to some pics from Eric's excellent adventure, track day at Heartland Park. Also showing Darby and Adam. Didn't get Courtney - she'll have my ass for that (could be a good thing, eh?). I'll let Eric tell you about his agricultural experiment. I was only there a couple of hours and got called back to K.C.

The binocs are for locating the shit that falls off your bike.

I think the 'balloon knot' was caused by repeated light blunt force trauma to the subcutaneous tissue in the suspect area. Of course, I would need closer inspection to be sure.

Ain't no way we got enough room on our bikes for an SRK!! I might be able to fit a floor jack on my bike before an SRK...

They will be looking at a friend of mine that day, Cody Kitchens. I am going to TRY to be there also. It depends on whether or not I get some new tires. If I get tires, I may try to run, if I don't, I will just probably watch. Oh yeah, Josh will also be at my house a few times for Bikes, Blues and BBQ. I am hoping they will bring the Race bike to my house for some photo-ops. *crosses fingers*

Hey guys
Sorry I missed out last night but as you can tell from my lack of attendance at Fuell, all did not go well last night. I was giving the bike a quick bath before heading and felt the exhaust was a lil loose. As I went to tighten it back up, I snapped a bolt off of it. After I threw some tools around I got into fixing it after pulling the exhaust all the way off, I had to use an easy-out to get the the rest of it out. After a long night it is all back together and running fine, but as you can see from the time of the post. I figured it was to late to head and met you all. LOL
Time for a beer and some sleep.
Sam and Duff,
Sorry I missed the calls.

All I know is whoever put this POS together did a real HalfA$$ job. LOL

I know what you mean. I'm going to Hastings this weekend. On the 7th, I have to choose between the Reece Good Poker Run and the Ralph Waynes thingamabob. I had a blast last year when we all went to that.

I bought a set of the new Conti Sport Attacks for the bike. Larry if you've got some time once they come in I think it is finally time to get my wheels powdercoated, so I need you to go with me to Central so I don't get F'd in the A with charges for the swap. I figure that since I'm going to have both wheels off and I've already got a set of bearings I might as well get the powdercoating done. Let me know. Later.

There's gonna be some hella bikes out that weekend. I gotta decide between Dan Jackson's Circle the City ride, Ill Conduct/HarleyStunts in Dallas, and Ralph Waynes.

James, how long's it been dude? You'll be ready to ride just in time for winter!! That's ok, we'll have to get together sometime soon. I almost bought a new buell a few weeks ago from a guy in grain valley. I wish I would have. Now one of my fork seals are leaking, and I'm gonna have to put money in it to sell!!

Yeah, I just got my new belt put on about two weeks ago, and now I need new tires. I have barely put any miles on the bike this summer. I think I had around 10 or so thousand miles on the bike at the start of the season and I'm just shy of 13 right now. What weekend is all of the stuff going on? If the tires come in late this week or early next week and I get the stuff to the powdercoater right away I should be ready to ride the weekend after next. Doubtfull, but possible. Later.

So I just pulled my bike around the front of the building at work and now the powdercoating will have to go on hold. Another Jardine bites the dust! This time the rivets on the back are pulling through. I guess maybe it is time to invest in a better exhaust for it. I think I'll just wait till the rivets are almost all the way through and pull the back off. I will probably run it that way till it gets put away for winter and then try to buy something a little more sturdy.

Yeah no kiddin, mine has lasted me 2 years now, and repacking it helped out a lot! I wouldn't think those rivets would come out if there was still packing in there...although my midpipe broke in half the other day comin down from a wheelie (imagine that!)
