Bambi......Thanks.....and I have very thick skin and I will never get bent out of shape from a little teasing. I dish out my fare share a a little joshing as well. I'm easy like Sunday morning.....so to speak.

What happened??

We were blocked in and I went to move the bike to an opening as soon as it came available cause we were trying to leave. Turned the front of the bike a little tight and it tipped but it didn't go down but it made me a little nervous so I let the clutch out a bit faster than I should and it lunged forward. Didn't really go anywhere cause I had my hand on the brake. It musta looked really bad from behind me cause of the reaction from the crowd but that didn't scare me as much as it tipping did.

But I heard Charlie behind me say something like, "Relax guys, she's got it". Him backing me like that made me not feel so much like a jerk.

Bambi, don't feel bad. You're not alone. : ) The first time I went out to the V, I nearly bit it leaving the parking lot. The pavement was cold, and I gave it too much gas. I broke the back tire loose and had to put my foot down to save it. I felt totally cool, let me tell you!

It never seems to fail that the more people that are standing around watching the worse you feel about something that at a time with no one around you would of blown off... We all do it but not every one admits it.....

What a pleasant suprise I had this past week when I went to visit Rocket Harley here in huntsville.
As I am pulling into the parking lot, I noticed one buell of each flavor on display outside. I said to myself "SELF.. look, they have some buells out here... hmmm. Interesting"
I walk in, and to my suprise and astonishment, they have setup a Buell area RIGHT IN THE FRONT OF THE SHOWROOM!!!. They had 4 Ulys, an XB9R, 12R, CityX, and a 12S. I could not believe my eyes. I just wanted to go up and hug someone.
Way to go Rocket HD!! I hope you guys keep this up!

Rat man, While we were in AZ, we past a HD dealer on the way back to Vegas that had a Buell Logo on the sign so we decided to stop in. Once in side there was NOTHING! Kdan asked the dealer and he said, " HD bought Buell out but then decided to stop selling the Buells".
I was so proud of Kdan. He just smiled, shook his head rather that correcting such an obviously misinformed salesman. Once we were outside I asked him why he didn't say anything. He said it was like dealing with bigots, why waste your breath.

Sunday was a sweet day to ride. We finished the day off by grilling out steaks, I think I gained another 3Lbs.

Thanks for the riding invite.....I see how it is....

I called Leon last night and left a message asking what hotel are we staying at.

I'll post later when he calls. If he doesn't call look on the www.Barbermotorsports.com web site it list a couple hotels that very close.

I did invite everyone to the hills, I posted it on TWO websites jerk!

Well I have not had much time to post but I was working on some technique's while in the hills and coming down alt. 75 in one of the 15mph 180 deg. turns I left a black mark from the apex to the exit!!! I was trying to ride smooth and controlled and the result was sliding, I did it a bunch but that corner stands out because I really felt the slide, just kept rolling on and it felt great.

Bambi, that almost sounds like it would be worth a letter to that particular shop owner. That is just sad.

Well, it looks like I am not going to make it to the barber track day. Melissa and I are trying to get started on our adoption process and we need to save all the money that we can, so I decided that the money would be better spent (or saved) for that.
I had been thinking about setting up an account to put $20 or so in each pay just for track days/bike stuff so I can be ready for future track days.
I may just take a ride down to the track to watch and hang out though!

I'm beginning to get annoyed. NRHS says it might take "weeks" to get my cams, and I still need to sell my Cobra so I can buy a truck, or I won't have any way to get the bike to the track and back.

I put the car up on eBay yesterday, so hopefully it will be sold 6 days from now.

For anyone interested, Wild Wing Cafe in Suwanee is having a bike night this Thursday night. The band that's playing is really good; the Mike Veal Band. Bike parking will be roped off in front of Wild Wing and Dangerous Curves motorcycle club will be giving away a "bike of the week" trophy. Just thought I would let you guys know in case you are interested in trying somewhere different this week.
