Ok, role call for anyone wanting to ride up to Pacific Junction "MAM" next Thursday morning. I plan on leaving around 7ish from Lees Summit, plan on watching the Boyz play on the track, return that evening..... Jason , you in? Get some trip miles on that new XB!! Jeff | ||

Took the M3 out today to try out the Force exhaust.Rode about 60 miles,the only thing I have to say about how the bike feels and sounds is  BIGMe likes it! | ||

I figured I'd tell them about the fuse at the track. On a Firebolt you have to unplug the wires to the headlights, the fuse runs other stuff that you need. We plan on being at the track at 8am or sooner. Leaving Waterloo at 3am. It's not too late to do the track day, it will just cost you a little more. Still well worth the money. I plan on taking it kind of easy, new bike,new leathers,new helmet. I haven't been on the track since last Sept. Of course this thought will last until I get passed a few times and then ??? I plan on staying in the intermediate group. I'll go into the racer group next time out. Any of you guys have a good stopwatch? I'd like to see how much winter slowed me down. My hope is to take another 4-5 seconds off my lap times this year. Ride to the edge! Dave | ||

Dave, thanks for the tips. I am bringing a belt for the XB, So if one of us needs one.... Richie, It depends on what time Frank and I can get everything finished/loaded. we'll be leaving from Franks house.....unless Frank wants to do dinner and then pack-up and leave. However I think we will have plenty going on, on Wed night to really be goofing off with you guys..... I am taking the van, trailering two bikes, so far just Frank and myself and Richie if he decides not to ride. (I would ride up thurs if I were him, with jeff and Jason) | ||

I guess I better report as well, heehee... Got tires this week...of course the bastards sent a 208 front, and a 220 rear! So I ordered ANOTHER tire (208) real quick in hopes that it will be here monday or tuesday Shock is on its way..should receive it monday or tuesday (crossing fingers) leathers...check boots...check gloves...check pretty blue helmet...check duct tape...check scheduling brain surgery for Sam to get the stupid removed for having me tear into his XB a week prior to track day...CHECK Richie, Did you come out ok on installing that primary gasket? Did ya use a in# torque wrench on the bolts set at 90-120? Did it appear to be doing what we talked about (shearing the gasket, and creating a channel to the bolt)? I'm wondering if filing down the sharp edge in that area would help any....hmmmmm might have to experiment if mine ever comes down with the dreaded harley-leaking-disease.... On a side note, Todd Kennedy (the man that makes everyone feel like a dwarf) is crossing back over here to the dark side MUHAHAHAHAHA. He was in the process of buying one of our techs' M2L (yes, its an "L" as I left early on Sat. WOOHOO WELCOME BACK, TODD!! Glad you came back to your senses, heehee Ok..guess I better get to work on the XB, so Sam has something to ride on Thursday, hehe.  AAAAAwwww maaaan....Do I really have to "wash" my bike??.....hehe | ||

Oh, and Thunder... We'll prolly leave either my house or the shop right after work (6p.m.) on Wed. night, so we don't have to get up as early as the Waterloo fellas And we're planning on coming back Thursday evening.(the boss man is already giving me the evil eye for taking a day off during busy season....) | ||

Frank,the primary gasket was tore at the top where the bolt came out.I bought a torque wrench and replaced the gasket,buttoned it all back up.Put about 60 or so miles on it,everything seems aok. | ||

Hey all, like Frank said, I did come back to my senses...Bought the M2 on Sat. and immediately put on some miles. Even though it is a M2 "L", it really feels comfortable for me. The bike is a blast to ride and has some really nice upgrades, so I am looking forward to riding with you all. It feels great to be back in the ranks among you crazy cats. I think I will have Frank hook me up with a special tuned shock for my big size...Oh, and by the way, I have a old school chopper now for sale(What was I thinking????). Later guys, Todd | ||

Got my shock today WOOHOO! man, what a nice piece  I am pleased! Haven't seen the tire come in yet..if worse comes to worse, I'll swipe the last 208 we have at the shop, and replace it when I get mine. So no need for "spooning" at the track, Hippie Dave Well, it's crunch time so I better get downstairs and finnish the XB, so I can get "my" ride ready...
