Outtie, no problem.
The wife and I will be in Appleton Friday night, but be commuting back to Waukesha after the festivities.
My mother always taught me to respect my elders, so I'll resist any elderly alzheimers comments  |

It's "Old Timer's" often confused with "Ocular Rectalitis" not "Alzheimer's". Well, at least not yet.
I know you have kids at home to care for, but that commute is going to get tiring. So take it easy and watch out for the wild life (read: deer and other four legged critters, not Spidey and the Gang). |

The commute will be fine for me. It's the wife that it may be rough on. She's not used to it.
But we'll have a whole entourage. Diablobrian, his son, no_rice(I think), Dora(Buellgirlie), And probably a couple other Brew City members. |

That sounds great. The more the merrier and safer too.
What route are you taking? I just might tag along with your group and save the hotel cost on Saturday.
Dumb Question of the Week: Why does RA and RiverSplash always fall on the same weekend. Might be a nice stop on Saturday Evening. RiverSplash is always a wild time on Water Street. |

Friday festivities? Are you talking at Appleton or the track or elsewhere? What ballpark timeframe will you be heading southward? Not sure what time I'll be heading northward, nor what route I'll take back southeastward. I might zip around the lake (Lake Winnebago, not Lake Michigan), haven't decided yet. |

For those of you that are maybe staying in Elkhart Lake for the weekend there is Dirt Track Racing at the Sheboygan County Fair Grounds. Sponsored by are very own Revolution Performance.Its only a hop skip and a jump from Elkhart Lake. Anyone interested???

Steve...Don't sweat the small stuff. Between Wisconsin HD, their parent company Hal's HD/BMC and the other local stores supporting the Breast Cancer Foundation you can get a pink hat almost everywhere. It just won't say Buell and you can always sew/glue a patch on.
Then, I found no mentioned on the BWB where the proceeds were going to the Breast Cancer Foundation, so perhaps you would save some by hitting the women's department in the local sporting goods stores and golf shops.

I don't think the Buell pink hats are BCF related, they're just pink. I could be wrong though. |

AH, I can see it now...
A large group of bikers on loud-assed, revving motorcycles, pull into the parking lot as a small boy and his mom are making way to their minivan. They park their bikes en masse out in the lot and don their rugged biker gear, composed of black chaps, leather vests and er, ah, hats. They are making their way into Walmart when:
The small boy asks his mom, "Mommy, why are all of those old guys wearing those pink hats?"
The Mom replies, as she gets her body physically between the group of bikers and her little precious, "That's because they are gay honey...they must be having a gay pride convention around here somewhere. Now, stop staring and them, they may come over here!"
"Mommy, what does "gay" mean?"
End of story.

don't throw things I was asked that twice today despite Buell gear head to toe, buell racing on the fairing etc.

I think that the question is a left handed complement really. They could have asked if the Buell was a Kawasaki! There are worse bikes to be compared to or confused with.
Now, if you had had one of those pink hats on, no telling what they may have thought your bike was.
