As much as I hate to, I'd recommend driving up. It isn't going to be that warm here this Sat.

Hey guys, don't ask how I came by this but here it is...Cristina Guardado, 913.772.8291, is trying to organize a charity ride for a two year old to pay for medical expenses...I don't even know if this is legit so if you decide to do something with this you would need to check that our very carefully...Don't really understand why she was contacting us in STL and she did understand that we were in STL...I don't know if she felt she'd exhausted the possibilities in KC or what...If it checks out and you do something let us know and we'll see if we can help...

See Ya!

Hey guys, I guess there is going to be an AMA flattrack race in Quincy during the Harley rally. This was in our local paper yesterday.

Quincy tourism calendar has several new events

"Other new events for Quincy include the Illinois State Harley Owners Group Convention June 6-8, the AMA Flat Track Motorcycle races on June 6,"

Anyone interested in coming over for this event, let me know

Keith

Aye, we appreciated your hospitality ;) You'll be seeing us more often, I'm sure...

Well, I FINALLY got my frame and cylinders back. Got the motor back together last night, and the frame is resting on it. Could of done more, if I wouldn't of forgot the rear iso tool at work DOH!
It should be back together thursday or friday depending on how many parts I "misplaced" and how good my long-term memory is ;)

p.s. Hey Bob..did you make it up to Waterloo?

Sorry I couldn't make it...I had two conflicts as it turned out...Last night we had a combined "birthday party" for a good friend, his two twin daughters, my wife, and just about anyone else who had a birthday sometime within the past six months...Yesterday afternoon John and I attended a HSTA "tire mounting" party at Dr James house...I guess they mounted and balanced about eight wheels...It was very interesting as Dr James has a Coats machine and balancer...A rear Metzler had everyone scratching their heads as it was so stiff that repeated efforts with the machine could not get the top bead on the wheel...Finally when the dust had settled John simply took the hand irons and slipped the tire on to everyones amazement...That was probably the biggest lesson learned in that small grasps with the hand irons worked better than all the brute force of man and machine...

From Dave's post above I take it you guys rode the scooters up...That's cool!...How as the chili and who was the cook?...

See Ya!

Bob
