Add to that some marble to ping-pong ball sized hail. So far we are good, but there are several storms still on the way. As y'all know I lost a strap yesterday. First up to the plate is Odie. Home Run! Then later on after Buell666 logs on and reads the board, he gives me a call, he's got two straps! Another Home Run! After talking to B666, I give Shred a call to see if he can give me a little help getting to B666's house (I've not been there before), Shred says "I've not been on the board today, or I'd have given you the one I have in the garage." Yet another Home Run!!! I drove to Shred's (he's only two minutes away) to pick up the strap, and hung out with him Nat and Nick for a while. I feel ya, brother! The siren is conveniently located 2 blocks behind my condo. 3 AM, wwwhhhhiiIIIIIIII! Jumped outta bed, grabbed my pillow and comforter, ran into the wall, stumbled into the bathroom, heart pounding in my head and realized I had no pants on. Huh, prolly not a good condition to get blown away in. As soon as I got dressed, siren goes off. Go back to bed, re-cocoon myself (with clothes on this time) and drift back off into Never-Never land. In just enough time to get that good, deep, lip twitching sleep, WwwhhhhhiiirrRRRRRRRR AGAIN, accompanied by Most Excellent Boyfriend’s ring on the cell (which I was told to place beside my head since this is a service provided to nightshift IBM employees’ significant others). Grabbing, grabbing, stumbling, dropping phone, ah! Made it! …just in time for the siren to go off again. Heart still pounding in head so loud can barely hear M.E.B. on phone, saying, “Wait…Wait…Wait… (I begin to snore) OK, the storms have passed; you can go back to bed.” Wipe the drool from the phone where I went to sleep in the hall and returned to what I thought would finally be a peaceful slumber. Listening to the rain, wishing I had a tin roof, being lulled back to sleep by the gentle rhythm…. BOOM! BANG! The walls begin to shake! The Roof begins to rattle as one of those 15 minute thunder claps rolls through the neighbor hood like one of the Freight carrier airplanes from Dobbins is landing on my roof. I jump out of my bed, Horizontally, 2 feet, wet myself, hang in mid air for a moment and fall back into the puddle. Needless to say, I decided to sleep in this morning! I hate the pics themselves aren't better but I was a bit far away and after copping them down enough to see you guys rather than the full layout of TWO, they were a bit fuzzy. But I think for the show they were OK. I really wanted to put it to the music of the "Crazy Frog" video but after the time I spent on the first one, not to get to use it, I thought better of it and just gave in to having to use the music chosen by "The Man". Still kinda cute. Hope you guys enjoy it.
