New12r- thanks much!!!! Yes, I agree, your priorities are in the correct order. I have a friend (believe it or not) at work that is getting ready to have their first. He's a go hunting constantly, go to all the NASCAR races within 500 miles, party on the weekend kind of guy and he doesn't really realize how drastic the change will be with a child!!!

I agree Odie, and I wouldn't give up my youn'uns for nuthin.
No one, and I mean no one knows what a dynamic change a child makes, until they have a child.
Every part of your life is changed, every part changed.

hello to my fine feathered buell-friends,
i had an awesome time at the show, although i wish the weather allowed us to ride.
WOW...lots and lots of baby talk! i think it's great when two people can agree upon something so life-changing and time consuming as creating a child together. especially if you don't allow yourself to be lost along the way...i congratulate those of you for that...that's courage.
as for me, i have four children. two are furry and are known to humans as feline. they offer insight to me, specifically being...not to take life so seriously and that it's alright to just chill out and take a nap sometimes.
the other two are most likely not seen as valid offspring, but as mere machines...but i'll tell you,
i have bonded and learned much from my two, two-wheeled girls. they have taken me places, (mentally, physically and spiritually), where i never thought i could go.
hey...B_S...get your mind out of the gutter!!!ha!ha!
this weather sux....
better now, than april 1st and 2nd!
i will be performing my anti rain dance in reverence to march badness!!!!

I hate babies. They're totally useless until they're about 2. Then it's fun to f*ck with 'em. Congrats new parents. May the force be with you. Can I have your bikes? You're not gonna need 'em!

I'm with Kdan, I could use a few new rides!

For yall that did not go to the show....Stone Mountain HD will be sponsoring a track day at Barber Motorsports Park!!!!

Date: July 8 (Sat) and July 9 (Sun).

Bike and Rider prep
(From private track time):

* Track day event will run from 7:30am-5:00pm. Rider meeting at 8:30am. Riders take track at 9:00am.
* Advanced riders only remove antifreeze.
* Make sure all bolts are tight; especially the oil drain bolt. Safety wire if possible.
* Must have new or very good tires.
* Remove or tape over mirrors, turn signals, headlight, and tail light.
(Use painters tape from a local hardware store; its easier to remove!)
* Advanced riders must have a leather, Kevlar, Aerostich type suit or two piece riding suit. Leather gloves, boots (over the ankle), and a Snell/DOT-approved full face helmet are required.
* Novices should have a good quality riding jacket and riding pants reinforced with synthetic material or leather(Two pair of jeans acceptable). Leather gloves, boots (over the ankle), and a Snell/DOT-approved full face helmet are required.
* You can buy extra gas at the track or you may choose to bring your own. Riders should average more than 100 miles.

I know I promised pics. but I left my camera at LightningDaves while puttin' on his air bags. Got most of the way done but still more drilling!

Ok, I'll bite. Where exactly are you putting Lighting Dave's airbags?
I mean, what kind of airbags are we talking about here?

Helper springs on the back of his truck. It has a 6" lowering kit and will not haul much.
Yesterday I raised the back end a couple inches and started drilling the frame to mount the brackets.

Buella,
I have...
3 cats,
Yominy (Russian for ) 12 years old,
Semi (short for semi-long-hair, kinda like me) he's around 5.
And Timmy, he's a little over 1.
3 boys,
Jonathan, 17,
Colin 15 in 5 days,
and, Cody, he'll be 12 in Sept.
These guys have changed my life and my way of thinking way more than I ever thought possible.
I'm very proud of my 6 boys!
Poor Ann, she ain't got a chance livin' with all these men!

Yeah, cats have worked out better for me as well. At least with them you don't have to eat them before they become teenagers. When I was married, my rent-a-kid was enough to help me finally consider that option.

Besides, my friends have always been male. That took care of about all the "motherly instinct" I could/can muster.

Yep kids are cool. And contrary to popular believe your life is not over when they arrive. For me they bring balance. I tend to go extremely in one direction or the other and my kids and family keep me focused on the fact that I am not the only one on the planet. Not a bad thing. What really makes it work for me is the fact that my wife is awesome. She understands that If I don't get some seat time on my bike or my bicycles that I am hell to live with.... She is awesome.

Drift, I know exactly what you're saying.
I've been with Ann now for about 16 years.
We wouldn'd be so successful if we didn't enjoy our children, each other, and our personal freedom.
It's what's kept us close.
It's ain't easy, but it's worth it!

People I am back at home. In a lot of pain but home. It will be about 6 weeks before I can do anything. It hurts just to type this. In two weeks I have to go back and get my liver checked out and the biggest thing I want from all my friends is to pray that there is nothing bad wrong with me. I want to thank everyone of you for your kindness. Betty said to pray for her because she was going to need a lot of patience to put up with me.
