Will do Loni, I have to do a short recon up to Toledo here in the next few weeks to dial in the meeting place.

Once that is figured out, I will post the location and the meeting time.

The 2006 Daytona 200 is going to be fantastic -- Watch as the Canadian race team kicks ass on a XBRR motorcycle! Here is a press release:

XBRR TEAM CANADA

Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada has a historic tradition of motorcycle racing that traces back to the late Trevor Deeley who raced for Harley-Davidson at Daytona in the 1950s, as well as numerous Canadian venues. When the company was a distributor for Yamaha in the 1960s and 1970s, the Deeley organization fielded as many as 12 road race motorcycles in the Daytona 200 with riders including Yvon Duhamel, Barry Sheen, Jim Dunn, Peter Kellond, Mike Duff and Steve Baker, the first American to win a 750cc world championship.

This tradition of racing continues today with Canadian Thunder Champion Darren James, sponsored by Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada. The battle for the Canadian Thunder Championship began in 2002 and James has won the Championship for four consecutive years including last year’s 2005 National Thunder Championship. James also won the CCS Thunderbike National Championship at the 2004 Daytona Race of Champions.

It has been the ongoing relationship between Darren James and Pascal Picotte that now continues the racing tradition with the new Buell XBRR}}. Their collaboration, such as James riding a 600cc Yamaha prepared by Picotte Racing in the 600cc expert class in the Parts Canada Superbike Series, has laid the groundwork for Picotte Racing and the first Canadian XBRR rider, Steve Crevier, to compete on the XBRR in the AMA Formula Extreme series for the 2006 season in the United States.

Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada, in conjunction with Picotte Racing, will bring championship team experience to the XBRR Team Canada introductory season. Picotte Racing, under the guidance of Pascal Picotte, will be providing the at-track support and management that will provide the competitive advantage for Team Canada. His credits include being Superbike Champion in 2003 and 2004, Supersport Champion in 2003 and 2004, and having the top 5 finishes in AMA Superbike and Supersport. In addition to his racing experience, he brings research and development experience dating back to his involvement with the Harley-Davidson® VR project in the early 1990s. Also, a key member of his team is Paul Fournier, a three-time Tuner of the Year as rated by Inside Motorcycles.

Steve Crevier, a Canadian legend, has the most wins in Canadian history. He has competitively raced nearly all major motorcycle brands and has been the 2005 Supersport Champion, 2003 runner-up to Superbike Champion Picotte, and is the holder of 15 Championship titles; a phenomenal achievement in Canada.

Their 17 year relationship and wealth of experience will be instrumental in advancing and developing the success of the XBRR. The launch of the Buell XBRR will be a multi-national effort with riders fielded by the United States (Mike Cicotto for Hal’s), Canada (Steve Crevier for Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada), Great Britain (Jeremy McWilliams for Warr’s) and Germany (Rico Penzkofer for Hannover).

I fully understand that nobody really cares, but........

I'm still here!

Bob: You're picture of the Superbowl ref was great! And if you don't mind my saying so, every now and then I also think about eating Deb's eggs and bacon. Home cookin' is always so much better than restaurant food.

My first ride on two motorized wheels was on the back of a friends Vespa Motor Scooter. I was so impressed that I got a little part time job after high school and bought a 1962 (maybe 1961?) Lambretta 2 stroke 125cc scooter of my very own. I was so jealous of the Japanese bikes that didn't have to mix oil and gas but Italian style is worth something, right? Then it was on to a very "POC" used Ducati 250cc 4 stroke single (from, like, 1947 or something). I sold it to buy a Honda 305 Scrambler and am still glad I did. The last time I saw that Duc, it was parked in front of a Tavern someplace on Beacon Hill in Seattle. If I had still owned it, I would have been drinking beer in a Tavern too. Why was it a POC? Let me count the ways - electrical, mechanical, basic design, build quality, deferred maintaince,............. The Honda was SOOooooo much a better bike.

Then I spent four years in the Air Force, got out, got married, had kids, bought a M-2, and now own a Triumph Sprint-RS. Life is good.

BRAG meetings are the third Tuesday of the month, February 21st. Coming? We miss you, and Chris too!

I start working at Paradise Buell/HD tomorrow. My position is warranty clerk. I expect this to do wonders for the BRAG club. If I remember correctly, I may not as my brain was already pretty full by the time I heard this, the dealership is receiving 70 new Buells for this summer.

Roc, I really wanted to come this month but will have to wait until next month. I have it on my calender. Chris might make it with me, he is still doing school. I really miss seeing everyone. Congrats on the job at Paradise. Let me know if you have any rides planned, might get away to do that.

Bob,
Just got back from Peru and am suffering from a major case of Montezuma's revenge which is insignificate compared to the bomb shell I just read about you. Buddy, you are the glue that holds this group together and I am sure that I speak for us all when I say that our thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything, and I mean anything I can do for you, please ask. You have done so much for all of us, we owe. Just ask.
Take care my brother...
