Richie and I rode to meet Frank and Bill last night, Richie just got his Widder stuff and wanted to test it.

When we arrived at the SmokeHouse BBQ, Richie looked like he had just stepped out of the Sauna!

Me thinks he had it adjusted to high....

The Mummy riding costume had been retired!!

:)

Racerboy, give me an E-mail with your phone number. Sometimes I get the urge to do one of your weekend rides. I need a way to get a hold of you.

I just learned that the thermostat control knob on the Widder cold weather gear may be turned, without rider knowledge, while in route!Gets real hot real quick! But after being real cold, long time, its a NICE THING!

Kevin...Thanks for looking out for Gwen today...Not many would have done what you did...Garth came up to me earlier at the Loutre Market and said he was falling asleep trying to stay with her, begging to get up front...I don't know what was going on with her as I've seen her ride much faster before...I'll speak with her during the week and try to find out if she's had a bad experience recently that we don't know about or if it was just the layoff...Again, THANKS!

See Ya!

I just received my copy of this and it's pretty good...And "The
Arkansas Gap" is only his number 2 road...Found it interesting that
in the "accomodations" section for Eureka Springs he makes no mention
of Iron Horse Stables...Makes you wonder if the businesses had to
pay to be mentioned...Otherwise I don't know how he could have
overlooked a motorcycle only motel and campground...

Bob, I got my custom ear plugs this week. Killer!! They have the inner ear speakers like the Joba things. They are different than yours. These are soft. They look like they are clear silicone with wires. They seal tight. They are from a company called Ear Defenders in calif. I don't think they are the same co. you and John got yours from, are they? I see they are called the W.K. Baker Co. out of Calif. I remember you weren't real happy with yours. Are these the same people? Jeff got some with out speakers and is really liking his. Come on SUMMER!

Bill...How did you acquire them?...What was the order process?...Were you fitted locally in KC?...Have you tested them out at 80 mph yet?...Ours are Ok, just not as quiet as the over the counter foam ones...That's why John doesn't use his...But they are very comfy...

See Ya!

Bob... I got them at the St. Louis bike show. They are as quiet as the foam ones put in tight and correct. I figure 120 mph and no wind came in them. Just the rumble you would expect to here with any properly fitting ear plugs. Plus I can turn my walk man on low volume. IT is great. You can call them in Santa Margarita Ca. at (805)438-5249. I am having them make me a pair with out speakers off the mold they already have. You may ask them if you sent your ear plugs if they could make some up for you. She said different kinds of silicone can be used. They don't offer a in home kit because if not done correct the quality will not be there. They can't control the quality. They will be back next year for the bike show. Let me clarify my statement about them being like the Jaba. They don't have the inner ear mike. The speakers are really good stereo sound. I'm pleased. I wanted something like this due to wind noise and if you have a communicator on you can't here the other person very well. Then you have to ride with out ear plugs out to hear. You know the deal.

I just arrived home from visiting family near Louisville Ky. I saw 12 road strikes on I64 in Indiana alone. 9 dear, 2 cayote, and 1 dog. There were 2 more dead dear just west of the Wabash river in Ill. and another, half way between Mt. Vernon and St. Louis. Be careful.
