I know it has been cold in these here parts lately but there is always next season. Lets talk about next years rides. Oregon 250 the first Sunday in April. Sonomafest 2003 is set for April 25- May 4. AMA superbike is on May 2-4. Splash 3rd weekend in July? World of Speed at the salt flats September 19-22. Donner? Lets get some more input from the rest of you. It's late off to bed. Mike

Mike, don't forget the OR500, second Saturday in May, I think - and maybe an Eastern Oregon ride for 2003. Let me know when you will be back in Bend... MG

I would love to start talking about next summers rides that are planned. I know all about SPLASH back from the old days, don't know anything about Oregon 250, OR500 and would love to know more!

A ride down through Shaniko should be on the agenda too! Just did that a couple of weekends ago from Vancouver, wish it would have been warmer!

Here are a few pics from the ride we took a couple of weeks ago to a little town in Oregon called Shaniko. Last time I was here back in 1997, the infamous Ferris Bueller was leading the way, back in the days when PAC/BOG was in its prime!

Jim: Great pix. Looks like you had a good time. The weather has been great this summer and fall, as your pictures show.

Did anybody go to see the Rolling Stones at the Tacoma Dome last night? My boy went and I haven't heard from him since. It must have been a pretty good show, he’s usually here for dinner.

Anyone have anything powder coated in the PDX area? I'm thinking about doing some wheels. Thanks - Rocky

No I haven't. Figure on about $75 per wheel plus new bearings plus labor to remove and install the new bearings. And the new tires, of course.

If the wheels are already powder coated you might want to just paint them with a two part epoxy paint such as Dupont Imron. The old powder coat will protect the wheels and the new paint is cheaper, easier to apply and easier to color match whatever else you might already have on the bike.

Lyle showed up today, he said the Stones were great!

He put a new Two Brothers Racing muffler on his 2002 Speed Triple today. Tomorrow he'll get the ECM re-mapped and he will be seriously FAST! If you see a black and silver blur going by at something near the speed of sound with a high mount TBR titanium muffler, it's him. I'm warning you, don't get in his way. He's either a man on a mission or a rebel without a clue. Depends on who you ask, him or me.

Anybody catch the FMX this weekend at Memorial(PDX)? It was wicked cool!! They didn't have much room in there to work with. They had two 9-10' kickers on both sides of a landing pad with about a 40' gap between launch and landing.

Those boys are something else!!
