Has anyone been to the new Lake Shore Harley and Buell?

Don't waste your time, it's no better than Woodstock. No Marquee, No Clothing, and all of the buells are not even in the show room, but way in the back behind the dicount/clearence racks. The only bikes they have are 1 Demo FB, 3 used Blasts'.

The place sucks. How can they keep their dealership?

I just got into one of my pissed off moods and called Buell Customer Service at 414-343-8400 and logged a complaint about Lake-Shore and Woodstock. I, of course, said nice things about IL-HD/B and states that the two former stores should model themselves after them. If it's a demographic thing where there are too many Buell dealerships in northern IL, then they should just back out.

they keep their dealership cuz they sell a bike or two a year by mistake (like my M2) . . . . .

I like that they are there, cuz it's a quick trip for Sportster parts (intake seals, exhaust gaskets, blinker fluid)

doesn't even say Buell on the building

It's all about the demographic!!! They just want to sell a ton o' chrome to the posers. I bought my bike at Woodstock but only by mistake (okay, no jokes about buying a Buell and mistakes). I was actually on my way to buy a Triumph but a friend told me about the Buells. I thought I'd stop at Woodstock. They were so willing to get them out of their showroom that they sold my a new S3T (this was a '98 bike bought in spring of '99) for $9800. That included the three year extended warrenty! I tried getting it serviced there but it was a lossing battle. Last year I received a gift certificate from a client to be used at Woodstock. They had ONE Buell on the showroom floor. No merchandise or parts!!!!!

Time to get off my soap box.

So nobody is getting together for the game or what?

And I bought my Dyna from Rich at Lakeshore, but I sure as hell wouldnt buy a Buell from them. Of course right now I wouldnt buya Buell from anyone, but back to the topic, I went there to get a rear tire for the X1 & honest to god it took 20 minutes for them to find the right one in the parts manual. And their new location is HORRIBLE!! No ez way in or out, Rockland rd sux, too much traffic, etc..

As for Woodstock....Buuuuwwwaaahhhhhaaaaa hehehe LOL for anyone buying anything from there. Whats with the northern Il dealers? Outside of Berwyn the rest suck. Villa park? Puts the bikes behind velvet ropes & prices everything thru the roof, suburban in Palatine? Went on a poker run with them & holy shit talk about a bunch of stuck up snobs, cant really say anything about that dealership, just the clientel that shops there.

Gee John picking on me huh?? does this feel like forgiveness and mean we can ride together again?I promise not to accept the lead..easier not to be responsible right? Enough of the Hebrew stuff..My daughers life as a Hebrew is her own, and I love her more than anyone can understand,she is in the army and attends school also and at this time she goes to school in Israel?So you must misunderstood me about my comment that day you left me alone in the middle of cheeseland.I just hope she quits bakpacking into gaza and the west bank trying to make peace..but then again not as hard as making peace with a bomber? As far a great service the people at Berwynn are all family to me..gee they dont even ask me how much money I want to spend.I recieved a new replacement shock for nocharge from Chris.I may have damaged it with all the hard riding when it was not properly dialed in.The bike feels almost fine now.I have a set of isolator mounts from Pingle (where the real Spiderman is)ready to get installed this winter at berwynn and look forward to being as rigid as possible.I missed road America because someone told me that it was a hole so look for me there next opportunity.I am looking forward to keeping up with Chris with his Bagger.
