Josh,

Thanks, just let me know and I'll get it out to you.

Tripper,

I noticed your post in the Deals Gap section wondering about Sam. I last saw him and Frank heading out into the rain with Racerboy on Saturday morning. His bike and him were still in one piece at that point as compared to most of the other firebolts down there. Upon arriving, we were teasing him that there was not a piece of a firebolt on the "tree of shame" yet. He got off the hook when about 4 firebolts went down sometime thursday and friday. At the point in which we left there were 4 bolts down (one seriously injured) and one S3 I believe. Everyone from our contigent had kept the rubberside down at that point and was in good shape.

Tripper,

I actually replaced the front tire about a week after our trip to the Ozarks. Just didn't tell anyone because I wanted to keep Frank all stirred up!! LOL You should have seen his face when we arrived at the Gap and I told him I had that tire for him in the back of the the truck! I didn't but it was worth the look on his face! :)

ED,
It was great meeting a crazy Hillbilly like you. Spoke with Brentx1 after your Friday ride and he said it was awesome! Hope to see you at another event soon so we can have a few drinks and hear some of your hilarious stories again!! :)

Hey, Hey everybody :D
Sam and I made it..got to Mt. Vernon, and set up camp. Rode through rain from St. Louis to Columbia today. Just wanted to thank everyone for their hospitality (nice steaks, bob ;) ) and their kindness.

Racerboy,
Wish you coulda rode with us to Ed'd place...He's got some AWESOME scenery and roads down there :D If you wanna check out a really cool nature park (closed down in '72, I think) do some research on "Broken leg" falls around where hillbilly lives (forgot the county). It's kinda like the road to nowhere, cept add a jurassic park aura.
Thank you for leading the sheep through the valley of darkness, BTW ;) It was a blast!

Ed,
It was a pleasure meeting you, and we really appreciate ya showing us around :D We'll be over in that neck of the woods next year for sure.

Looks like the KC plant tour is on Sept. 20+21. Let's get together again fellas ;)

p.s. Oh Keith...will the "wife" let you go play with the boys this time? heehee

Seeing DAve and meeting your group made the trip worth while.
Keith, Sounds like we left the party too soon. But you know as well as I, that if we stayed it would have rained all weekend.
Got back Sun. morning and took the bike apart. I just can't seem to stop tinkering with it. I am going to talk with some of the guys up here and see if there is any interest in riding down to your neck of the woods next spring.

Tripper? what's up?

just found your post.....

By the way my firebolt made it back with only two minor changes to it's appearance. It got tattoo'd with a pair of dragon stickers.

John,

Heather and I hope everything is ok. You guys are in our thoughts.

Sam and Frank,

I will be unable to make it over to the openhouse this weekend. I have my daughter this weekend, also on Saturday there is a benefit poker run for the daughters of a Bueller that died lastyear in an accident just outside of Quincy.

Keith

Frank!!!!!!

Hey!!!! He can go and play with the boys anytime he wants!!! It just better not be next September!!!!!!! LOL :) You guys just might have to cancel your trip to the Dragon for one year and come up this way in September! ;)

Frank & Sam are you planning on attending the HD factory open house this Saturday? I didn't make it to OP bike night this evening,so I wanted to make sure you knew what Bill, Rich & I were planning.

To ride the VROD or Buell ( I hope they bring the Demo fleet) you'll need to get there early. We plan on arriving around 6:30-6:45 to get our place in line, VROD's & BUELL's by appointment only...

hope to see you there

I'm gonna go with Sam on this one...What the hell are you guys thinking??? Damn..anything before 11 a.m. is fookin early for a Saturday :P I ride the shit all the time, so I'm going for the tour mainly..But " I guess " I'll try to make it up there around 7 or 7:30..I don't think they'll even let you start signing up until 9 a.m. Thats how it was last year..8:30 or 9...I got a friend that's going up tomorrow...will hit him up for info on the whole deal...

Racerboy,
You guys gonna try to make it ?

Gravedigger,
We understand, bro ;) No problem

Heather, (LOL)
Sounded to me like you have the leash tied tight around Keith's neck, hehe. Figured I better "ask", since we all know who wears the pants in that family, heeheeheehee.
I think I speak for all of us, when I say that we would be more than happy to come up, and watch the ball and chain err...I mean watch you guys tie the knot...but give up the dragon???? NEVER!!! :D Oh, I know...HONEYMOON ON THE BIKE!!!! woot woot! Now thats an idea ;)

John,
Super glad to hear your mom is doing ok :D I'll be trying to hunt up that V.O.E.S. switch for ya. Guy at work is on vacation, but I'll come up with somethin. Hell if its cheap enough at my cost I'll just buy it, and you can get me a porkchop next time, hehe.

Thunder,
I think Sam and I are gonna leave leavenworth "somewhat" early in the morning..We'll meet you guys there regardless ;)

Richie,
I resent that :P Donuts are the breakfast of champions :D

Ok, I'm out....

Hey all! I'm back and managed a dry ride yesterday from Cooksville, TN staying off the interstate till I hit IL.

Wed was rain rain and more rain as I rode back from Sumter, SC. I took the Cherohala again even in the rain. I didn't see any other cyclers on it or the area.

Pictures to follow today sometime.

The only prob I had was loosing the low beam at night in the rain ... I thought it was just getting damn hard to see! hahaha Napa had a super-watt bulb for me.

Glad you made it back DAve even though you were the only moron out on a bike, in the rain...wait a minute....we did that 2 days straight...hmmm...my bad ;)

I got rear-ended yesterday on the M2. I'm ok, and the bike only suffered some minor cracking under the seat where it was shoved up by the ladies bumper. Had to start it up, put it in gear and give her hell, so I could get it "un-wedged." Not overly concerned about the damage, will probably epoxy it, unless anyone has a lead on a cheap, cheap tail section, wink wink ;)

John,
I bought a switch for like 29 bucks my cost. If you need it right away, give me an addy, and it'll be in the mail Monday morning..if you got a lil time I'll prolly get one from Ken when he gets off vacation. Either way we can settle up next time ;)

Sam and I are leaving my house around 8 a.m. We should be at the factory around 9..Keep the donuts warm ;)

I'm out,
Frank

Dave,

Great pics!!! Glad to hear you made it back. I dropped you an email.

Frank,

Glad to hear you weren't hurt on that deal. thats generally a dangerous deal. hope you can get it back together soon. From Dave's pics, I think its time you started getting on his ass about a new front tire!!! :)

Hope you guys all have a good time at the KC openhouse.

DAve
Thanks for posting the pictures... I think the KC group will have 2 or 3 more riders next year.

We had a great time today at the HD openhouse, rode my first firebolt and it a really nice bike! Totally different than the S3, but thats what I expected.

Sam & Frank.. still have the biggest smile I ever witnessed, after the GAP experience!!

Tripper will be leaving the area sometime in the near future for new opportunities.
It has been an honor to have him as the KC groups back bone that has kept this small group together.
Tripper you will be missed but never forgotten!! We will meet at the GAP next year, in your backyard!!

Jeff
