I cant believe this happened, I took off my peg feelers b-cause I broke one and up in the mountains today I was dragging my right toe around a corner . Keep in mind I was dragging the knee and had my toes up on the peg! The bike never felt out of control athough I almost sucked up the vinyl off the seat! Gotta go to sleep, leaving for the Dragon early. |

WTF.....I decided to head to the hills this morning and I was going about 60mph down Holcomb Bridge Rd. and the motor starting sputtering. It didn't go dead but the engine light came on. Pulled over cut the bike off, sat there for a sec and fired it back up...no problem. Decided it was a good idea to head back home. Cut it off again and cranked it back up but it barely started. Starter didn't click but engine barely rolled over. Looks like the gremlins are winning. Does SMHD/Buell have a night drop???? |

Glitch, I gave you a ring, and then hit the old school back roads. The knee forced me back to the house. Pain what a rush. B_S, sorry to here about the bike. N12R, been there and done that. Hope you have a nice trip and ride safe. |

B_S- I have to concur with Odie on that one.
I had some funky issues like you too.
It would sputter, the engine light would come on, I would pull in the clutch goose it a bit then it would be just fine. The first time it happened I was with Glitch and New12r coming back from the V and made them pull over. Freaked me out.
I got the TPS re-set, a new battery and haven't had a problem since.
Don't panic you have a good bike, she loves you and won't do ya wrong. You're too good to her

A4TR.....can't get passed using that login. Funny you should say goose it cause that is exactly what I did this morning. It was sputtering and so I goosed it and it was good for a moment. I gotta take it in for the 10k anyway so I'll get it resolved then. Thanks for the encouraging words. |

Things are going great here!!! Thanks for asking.
The riding is incredible!!! There may not be the twisties you guys have or the technical roads like 180 but I've found some pretty fast sweepers and the views are to die for!!!
We did about 250 miles Saturday and had a great time.
It snowed last week so we had to be careful of the gravel in the corners but most of the roads were clear.
Here are some pics from two weeks ago when we rode, the Aspen were in full glory.
I figured I'd throw these up for you guys to see too. There is this crazy anti government guy building a castle in the Mountains. A couple of us rode up there to check it out a couple weeks ago. It's an awesome ride to this secluded 'castle' and well worth the trip.

B666, I'll stop by again, I've got alot of work in the next few weeks at that job on Boggss and 316 its called "Viasat". Its spread out over 3 days here and there. I'll ride the bike in and well do lunch. Anyone who wants to hit a back road this evening 6:30ish. |

Hully....Thanks for the offer but I traded a guy here on the BadWeb a few months ago for my stock bars in return for his handguards. I just finished adapting the bar end caps to fit my bars (inside diameter is smaller than the stock) and my bar end mirror. I'll wait until it get too cold to stand it on my hands.

Whats up yall, Man it has been quiet! All I can say is the Gap was the SHIOT!!!! I was draggin' both knees, toes, and the freaking sidestand!!!
A couple of highlights from the gap, I let a Gixxer 1000 know who was boss in the hills, he could not get away and he was trying(talked to him at a pull over) and he just let me pass after a while. I loved passing all the Busa's, 4 of em at one time to be exact, the hardest run I had was chasing two cars!! Well not just cars but one ORIGINAL SHELBY COBRA! and a Shelby kit car with a 427. These guys were tearing it up, never left their lane and plain kicked azz! I talked to them for a while at the overlook and they were really cool.
I stopped and talked to Killboy for a min. as well. He told me I was looking good!! I love getting compliments like that from someone who knows how to ride.
I have much more to tell but dont have it in me to type, I will post a few pics, Check the pics under Dragon Photos.
Hey A4TR, how U doing? have not heard from you in a while. I love the Castle, is that the same one you were telling me about?

New12R- Glad you guys had fun, can't wait to see more pics and yes, that is the castle I was telling you about. You can go all the way to the top on his makeshift walkways and ladders. I opted not to risk my life & enjoyed it from the ground.

Odie, I put the handguards on my 9S last spring. They're nice to have now as it cools down a bit. I bought mine off of Drift and we switched out in the parking lot. You need the CityX bar ends and the screw & nut that hold the brake and clutch lever on need to be swapped with the taller ones from the CityX. That is where the inside attachment points on the handguards get bolted on. If you'd like, I can get some pics later this week, or you can go find a CityX to look at. Take a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench to "look". Don't get caught. |

Odie....since the bars we have are smaller inside diameter the bar ends won't fit. So I filled the left side with some tray plastic so I could sand down and cram into the bar end. As for the right side, I cut the very end off the plastic bar end saving just enough to keep the little tab intact that the guard snaps into. Drilled it out so I could run the screw that holds the bar mirror in the bar. I had to get a longer screw from the Hardware store. So, just the tab is on the outside of the mirror and the mirror mounts just like it did before.
New12R...sounds like fun. www.killboy.com updates their site on Wed so I will look for you on their cover page. I'm sure you will be there. |
