Too early to positively commit, but I have every intention on riding at this time. The weather looks OK in the morning, chance of rain later in the afternoon. Me, Paul, Greg and John T (tentative) will meet 8:45am at Gas station (Gas City, I recall) on west side of Lemont Road about 1 mile south of I-55. It's the only gas station around, can't miss it. We'll ride out to Ottawa, hit some fun routes, ride some demo rides and return early afternoon. So hopefully, we'll miss the 40% chance of rain forecast for later in the day. If anyone else wants to ride or get more details, call my mobile 708 373-5445 anytime tonight and before 8:15am tomorrow morning, 'cause that's when I will hit the road.   Daves Posted on Saturday, September 24, 2005 - 10:22 am:        I know it's kind of short notice but I'm having a Sportbike day at the dealership Oct 8th,10-3:00 I had about a day to put this together. You can help me pull it off by coming! So far I have planned, Sportbike bike show Helmet toss contest, men's and women's, see who can throw my old helmet the farthest. Burn out pit available for those so inclined, it's almost winter here in Wisconsin so might as well burn that tire! Specials on bikes,t-shirts,hooded sweatshirts,parts Buell demo rides! Food of some sort, not sure yet. Band? Working on it. More details to come. Who can come? Bummer with the rain, stay in contact for a ride this fall, my bike is always ready. Wow some great racing at Blackhawk, IN THE RAIN! A new meaning of control. Buell riders did well, (4) 1st places, (2) 2nd places, in the rain. And several of the Belle City BRAG group were there and 2 got their licenses to race. Good call to Curt for leaving Ottawa when we did. Me and Alex got downtown to my place dry and it started POURING rain within 20 minutes! BTW: Remember that yellow XB9 that we passed on the highway? I'm pretty sure that guy has been to our BRAG meetings. His name may be Tom?? His first meeting was the same as mine, the day of Buell Homecoming. I'm thinking about Slimy Crud on the 2nd. Meeting you and riding with you guys was a pleasure. After we parted at Field of Dreams my intent was to find a Motel 6 and ride back to Chicago on Monday. Instead I ended up pushing all the way back, arriving around 2AM. Loooong day but enjoyed every bit of it.... I'm sure I'll be seeing you out there... Bomber- Yes, weather for Sunday looks good for now, very much increases my odds for riding. My suggestion is slab up early to get near the great roads ASAP. Hitting a more interesting route once closer to the "good stuff" would be fun. However, I'm up for anything. I just follow. Meeting at an unfamiliar off-tollway location would be problematic for many (like me!). I propose we establish a meeting time at Belidere Oasis, and anyone can choose to meet us there or pass on by. We could also plan the meeting time to coincide with the estimated arrival of other groups (like the Ducs), so we can watch for them and blast back onto the tollway to catch up with the group. Sound good? If so, I suggest Belvidere meeting time of 7:30am. The Duc group should be passing by around that time if they leave Schaumburg at 7:00am.
