Actually, the guy who bought one is waiting for a yellow/orange model. We got this one in and wasn't expecting it. Come on down and see, (bring your tip toes)

well, it's not just a matter of swapping shafts... throttle body was bored and the shaft has been modified to accept a larger butterfly plate....

I think I am going to try and make another, if that fails to happen, then I will modify the existing spare. I will say this...A lot of work was put into this throttle body relative to making it bigger.

does anybody know why they make the shafts out of brass rather than something sturdier?

Sam,

Is the throttle body an aluminum, magnesium, or zinc die casting? If so, brass wouldn't give you corrosion problems like steel. Just my guess.

Sam,

I know neither is the answer but what would you rather have your engine try to digest soft malible brass or hard tempered steel?

Are you kidding me??? Is this the same exact problem that I had prior to Laguna???? Hopefully the screws are still intact and you don't have to go through what I did!!

Loren, what is your route through KC?

I ask because maybe I can meet you somewhere to avoid riding 20 miles Southwest to Zipz just to ride back again.

I am at 470 & Woods Chapel in Lee's Summit.

Bill,

I was planning on heading up I-435 and getting off on M0-210 and heading East, but we can run up I-470 and then take MO-291 up to MO-210. What's at that intersection as a place to pick you up? That can be a second pick up point for you guys out East.

At 470(291) and Woods Chapel road There is:
Paddy O'Quigley's that is a well-known spot, but there is also a quick trip and a price chopper.

I could also stage near 210 and 291 - there is nothing there, but I could wait by the side of the road.

Great.
I can then use my smoked faceshield.

Sunday I left at 5:30 and I had to use my clear shield all day.

Is Jerry, or anyone, using FRS/GMRS radios on this?

KC MOB,

I hope someone can help. I live in the KC metro northland and am trying to sell my 89 RS 1200 that I've owned for the past seven years. Its been a great ride but have to sell. I have just posted on the KC least wanted thread and am hoping for some help from the local buell crew. I'll answer any questions you have just email me.

EMAIL: pumperco34@yahoo.com
All I'm looking for is that it goes to a true Buell nut and that a reasonable offer price is
made.

Thanks,
Brett C.

Mary was going to take her first long ride Saturday, and we were going to go to Gail's. Oops. I guess I'll try somewhere else, Sunday, with her since now I can go on:

A few of us from work are going to run through the Flint Hills tomorrow.....

Richie - yup. Mary won't let me ride the Buell. She says I'll wreck it.

She intends to ride it to the September BRAG meeting.
