Hey Bob:

This is Rick. I was just wondering what was going on for this weekend. Are we all still meeting in Rolla about noon tomorrow, or are we meeting before that to ride down there? Where are we going in Rolla and how long are we riding for? And next week, are you leaving to go to the Ozarks on Sat. and spending the night Sat. night? How much was your room in the Ozarks that you booked?

Stay Cool Guys!
Rick

Yeah, I'm in. I just want to wear that flat spot off my tire and find a good chocolate milkshake. 10 o'clock it is. Where is Helen Fitz.... anyways, I've heard of it, shouldn't be too hard too find.

A few of us are meeting today, Saturday at 10 at the Eureka QT to ride to Rolla for the Second Saturday HSTA ride...Then on to the Elbow Inn for BBQ and return...

Tomorrow, Sunday we will meet again at 10 but at Helen Fitzgerald's, 3660 So Lindbergh...It's on the east side just to the south of the Watson/Lindbergh intersection...This is an OFFICIAL PORK CHOP RUN...

And if anyone lacks for things to do, this evening, that being Saturday, there are a group of HSTAers riding down from Iowa and having dinner in Hermann...Look for the bikes at Simon's on the Waterfront...

And don't forget the CCS races at Gateway all weekend long...

See Ya!

Josh,
I will drop "Miss Piggy" and her friends off at Bob's work location. I will ask Bob to then call your bride to pick up same.
Bob,
The gaskets arrived today. Will install Wed. am. Did you locate your leak? If not, maybe I will have some time to check it out next week.

Over,
John

KC will take the extra Dbl Queen if still available. I am syncing up with the overnight gang this evening. I'm going to call and also get a single Queen for myself. I haven't posted in the past few days let me know if the extra room is available.

Hey,
nice seeing/meeting you guys today. We had a good ride there and a quite spirited one back! Wish we had a little more time to ride today.

Bob, Nice choice in restaurants. good atmosphere with all the bikes and boats.

Rookie, good meeting you, sorry about the milkshake thing!

Josh and Maribelean, great seeing you guys. Hope I didn't upset her with the larger blast thing. The new lightning just doesn't have that streetfighter look to me. It looks like a large blast to me, and buell allready has one of those. I do like the blast, we had looked at one for heather. I just think they really underachived on the new lightening.

Paul, I'll drop you a line later in the week and reconfirm everything for next weekend.

Jenn, nice meeting you! When are you buying a Buell?

had a good time,
Keith

While you pikers....uh, I mean bikers, where riding this wonderful day, I went to work. I got off early and went home to brushhog some more of the farm. That damn 600 Ford tractor will NOT wheelie no matter what I do, but there is NO chicken strips on the tires!
Last night, I had a bad dream. I lived in ILlinois and Buell had recalled all their bikes to install flat, hard rubber tires on them....Said there was no need for good tires since curves had been outlawed in the state and the new tires would get better fuel economy.:)

Nice large nail in the rear tire of the Nuked Demon kept me at home today. Best Dunlop prices? I'll check with Steve @ RPM to see if he can hook me up before this weekend.

I spent some one on one time with the S1W gettin' aquainted ... hahaha ... nothing like a sponge bath going over all the lines to appreciate a new bike ... yeah bike. Adjusted the bars a bit and need to check out the primary chain...feels like it needs some attention there.

DAve,
Get one of those new ILlinois tires; they don't require any air.
I picked up a large screw in a almost new rear tire last year. The tire went flat in the middle of a lefthanded sweeper as I was passing a car. Had a "mushroom" style plug installed by Kevin @ Widman's. I would not use a regular plug except for an emergency repair but the "mushroom" style works fine as long as the hole is in the tread area. And it will have little effect on your contact patch.

Roger that JOhn. I used 'shrooms before and it worked fine. A psychological battle at first knowin' its there. This nail is near center and the tire is about toasted anyhow. I wish there was a way we could make that MO/IL tire exchange work ...
What Me Officer? Nahhhh I was just walkin' up when that asshole rode that wheelie...damn hooligans m-f-ers
Maybe we can get a special Dunlop made for IL ridin' where the tire is near flat like a car tire...talk about your contact patch! Call it the Dunlop D207IL

Looks like the group is growing from KC. 3 riders will be arriving Saturday afternoon and 2 maybe three arriving aroung 8pm. Looks like the hotel is getting full with your 3rd room my single and Bill Cobb's Dlb Queen we should be set for now. If we have more interest could you recommend another hotel in the area? I'll keep you informed as things get closer.

Keith

p.s. John, I am just about ready to send you an IL front michelin pilot! hey somebody has to start the exchange program! it does have a couple flat spots though.

Hey Keith, Jenn will get a Buell when...Well, let's put it this way...On the way home at a buck forty she was still pulling away from me strong...Needless to say despite the rather large pork chop I was rather ALERT on the ride back from Hardin...

John, do you think we could get away Saturday eve?...Or, is anyone other than John and I riding down Sunday morning?...

Does anyone have any favorite roads they want to ride next week?...

The meeting place at the Lake for Sunday for those who ride down Sunday is still up in the air...Keep checking here...

Keith, Jesse, Jenn and Paul, Mariabelin and Josh, good seeing everyone today...

And Mariabelin (and anyone else in the vicinity of 270 and Manchester), let's do lunch this Wednesday...July 17th is RIDE TO WORK DAY!...

See Ya!

Nice seeing a few folks Sunday. Kind of an interesting ride with my Sporty leaking fluid out of the front right fork and needing new steering head bearings. Something about that combination, every time I changed lanes it tried to head into a tank slapper. Those tar snakes all over the river road were also giving it fits.

Bob, my Buell's in to get tires but I'm probably still dumb enough to ride the Sporty in traffic. Maybe we can all hook up for lunch on Wed.

Hey Racer, Josh, Mariabellen, et all; try to narrow down a time and site for lunch. 270 & Manchester is just quick hop from Johnny's Market!
